against_o themselves_o of_o their_o bloody_a intention_n and_o give_v also_o such_o provocation_n to_o the_o supreme_a legislative_a power_n for_o their_o more_o severe_a chastisement_n unless_o they_o have_v hope_n they_o shall_v yet_o be_v able_a to_o give_v the_o law_n to_o and_o chastise_v this_o supreme_a power_n which_o make_v i_o fear_v we_o and_o other_o people_n of_o the_o land_n be_v not_o yet_o humble_v as_o we_o ought_v some_o perchance_o think_v the_o business_n of_o humiliation_n be_v to_o end_v with_o the_o day_n and_o that_o they_o have_v full_o perform_v their_o task_n in_o fast_v that_o day_n and_o come_v to_o church_n and_o then_o expect_v god_n must_v present_o withdraw_v his_o chastise_v hand_n but_o have_v they_o withdraw_v their_o sin_v hand_n i_o desire_v they_o to_o examine_v that_o a_o little_a better_o other_o it_o may_v be_v go_v far_o and_o resolve_v yea_o and_o enter_v on_o the_o way_n of_o reformation_n but_o be_v since_o fall_v from_o their_o first_o love_n and_o that_o day_n fervour_n and_o be_v grow_v lukewarm_a how_o far_o each_o one_o be_v fail_v i_o leave_v every_o man_n to_o look_v well_o into_o their_o own_o heart_n but_o there_o be_v great_a cause_n of_o fear_n we_o have_v not_o do_v our_o part_n for_o we_o have_v a_o most_o gracious_a god_n who_o never_o fail_v those_o that_o seek_v he_o in_o true_a humiliation_n and_o hearty_a repentance_n it_o be_v the_o same_o god_n that_o spare_v wicked_a niniveh_n upon_o repentance_n and_o doubtless_o will_v do_v the_o same_o to_o we_o do_v we_o repent_v as_o niniveh_n do_v but_o pardon_v i_o if_o i_o tell_v you_o i_o doubt_v it_o much_o whereof_o i_o shall_v say_v more_o in_o the_o close_a certain_o then_o we_o have_v no_o reason_n to_o hope_n god_n shall_v do_v to_o we_o as_o to_o niniveh_n if_o we_o do_v nothing_o like_o what_o niniveh_n do_v wherefore_o i_o think_v it_o necessary_a to_o give_v you_o a_o second_o call_v to_o a_o further_a humiliation_n and_o in_o christ_n stead_n beseech_v you_o humble_v yourselves_o under_o the_o mighty_a hand_n of_o god_n but_o some_o perchance_o conceive_v this_o to_o be_v no_o proper_a day_n for_o a_o humiliation_n sermon_n and_o i_o beseech_v you_o why_o be_v not_o this_o the_o lord_n day_n and_o aught_o to_o be_v keep_v a_o feast_n unto_o the_o lord_n and_o with_o what_o will_v you_o offer_v unto_o he_o a_o sacrifice_n of_o a_o hundred_o bull_n and_o five_o hundred_o ram_n but_o the_o lord_n delight_v not_o in_o such_o sacrifice_n the_o sacrifice_n of_o god_n be_v a_o trouble_a spirit_n a_o break_a and_o a_o contrite_a heart_n o_o god_n shall_v thou_o not_o despise_v certain_o then_o we_o can_v better_o celebrate_v a_o feast_n unto_o the_o lord_n then_o by_o offer_v up_o our_o break_a heart_n and_o contrite_a spirit_n or_o will_v you_o keep_v this_o a_o feast_n unto_o the_o holy_a angel_n in_o heaven_n you_o know_v who_o tell_v we_o that_o they_o '_o rejoice_v more_o over_o one_o sinner_n that_o repent_v than_o over_o ninety_o and_o nine_o just_a person_n which_o need_v no_o repentance_n what_o a_o mighty_a feast_n than_o shall_v we_o make_v unto_o the_o holy_a angel_n in_o heaven_n by_o all_o our_o humiliation_n and_o repentance_n and_o do_v you_o desire_v after_o you_o have_v feast_v god_n and_o his_o holy_a angel_n to_o feast_v yourselves_o also_o this_o bless_a day_n why_o then_o you_o know_v a_o good_a conscience_n be_v a_o continual_a feast_n and_o this_o you_o can_v have_v but_o by_o humiliation_n and_o repentance_n for_o i_o doubt_v not_o but_o you_o will_v approve_v of_o that_o scripture_n which_o tell_v we_o if_o we_o say_v that_o we_o have_v no_o sin_n we_o deceive_v ourselves_o and_o the_o truth_n be_v not_o in_o we_o but_o if_o we_o confess_v our_o sin_n he_o be_v faithful_a and_o just_a to_o forgive_v we_o our_o sin_n and_o to_o cleanse_v we_o from_o all_o unrighteousness_n you_o see_v then_o there_o be_v no_o other_o way_n to_o have_v a_o good_a conscience_n clean_o from_o sin_n but_o by_o humble_o confess_v they_o humble_a then_o yourselves_o under_o the_o mighty_a hand_n of_o god_n and_o you_o shall_v keep_v this_o day_n a_o most_o acceptable_a feast_n unto_o the_o lord_n a_o most_o joyful_a feast_n to_o all_o his_o holy_a angel_n a_o most_o delightful_a and_o happy_a feast_n unto_o yourselves_o this_o day_n and_o all_o the_o day_n of_o your_o life_n which_o that_o we_o may_v effect_v i_o shall_v first_o show_v you_o that_o a_o discourse_n of_o humiliation_n be_v useful_a and_o necessary_a for_o all_o person_n second_o seasonable_a at_o all_o time_n in_o prosperity_n or_o adversity_n three_o i_o shall_v show_v you_o the_o method_n of_o humiliation_n out_o of_o holy_a writ_n four_o come_v to_o application_n first_o a_o discourse_n of_o humiliation_n be_v useful_a and_o necessary_a for_o all_o person_n of_o either_o sex_n of_o any_o age_n for_o pride_n the_o opposite_a vice_n be_v a_o disease_n all_o mankind_n be_v infect_v with_o and_o show_v itself_o even_o in_o our_o childhood_n before_o any_o other_o and_o continues_z till_o our_o very_a death_n as_o for_o other_o vice_n some_o we_o be_v not_o obnoxious_a to_o till_o we_o be_v grow_v up_o into_o the_o world_n and_o some_o be_v out-grown_a by_o long_a decay_a age_n but_o pride_n come_v with_o we_o into_o the_o world_n and_o never_o leave_v we_o till_o we_o go_v out_o but_o rather_o increase_v along_o with_o our_o age._n and_o as_o the_o continuance_n of_o it_o be_v total_a during_o our_o whole_a life_n so_o the_o mischief_n of_o it_o be_v total_a and_o bring_v a_o universal_a ruin_n to_o the_o soul_n as_o hugo_n de_fw-fr anima_fw-la well_o observe_v caetera_fw-la
