amen_n a_o evening_n prayer_n almighty_a god_n who_o as_o thou_o have_v make_v the_o day_n for_o labour_n and_o travel_n so_o have_v thou_o create_v the_o night_n for_o rest_n &_o refresh_v our_o weary_a mind_n and_o body_n we_o most_o humble_o beseech_v thou_o that_o as_o the_o night_n darken_v and_o shadow_v all_o thing_n so_o thou_o will_v for_o thy_o dear_a son_n jesus_n christ_n sake_n hide_v our_o sin_n remove_v they_o from_o thy_o sight_n and_o put_v away_o the_o memory_n of_o they_o by_o eternal_a oblivion_n that_o as_o our_o body_n shall_v have_v the_o rest_n of_o sleep_n so_o also_o our_o mind_n by_o hope_n of_o thy_o mercy_n may_v enjoy_v the_o rest_n of_o a_o quiet_a conscience_n and_o so_o be_v whole_o refresh_v we_o may_v awake_v and_o rise_v unto_o thy_o service_n the_o next_o day_n and_o all_o the_o day_n of_o our_o life_n as_o that_o when_o death_n shall_v come_v from_o the_o which_o it_o be_v as_o easy_a for_o thou_o to_o raise_v we_o as_o from_o bodily_a sleep_n we_o may_v rest_v in_o hope_n of_o the_o most_o joyful_a resurrection_n wherein_o our_o body_n shall_v awake_v unto_o the_o everlasting_a day_n unto_o the_o which_o and_o unto_o the_o kingdom_n of_o thy_o son_n we_o beseech_v thou_o bring_v we_o for_o the_o same_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n sake_n amen_n an_o other_o prayer_n for_o the_o evening_n this_o our_o mortal_a body_n which_o through_o sin_n daily_a decay_v and_o diminish_v must_v at_o the_o last_o altogether_o perish_v and_o become_v earth_n whereof_o it_o be_v come_v and_o make_v and_o then_o shall_v our_o vanity_n which_o we_o through_o our_o own_o ignorance_n have_v make_v unto_o ourselves_o take_v a_o end_n but_o most_o merciful_a creator_n &_o maker_n of_o all_o thing_n vouchsafe_v so_o to_o break_v divide_v and_o dissolve_v i_o thy_o poor_a creature_n who_o be_o gather_v knit_v and_o make_v of_o thou_o and_o grant_v that_o i_o may_v always_o have_v in_o mind_n thy_o dissolution_n and_o of_o who_o i_o be_o knit_v together_o have_v a_o eye_n to_o what_o place_n i_o must_v go_v to_o the_o intent_n that_o i_o not_o be_v prepare_v be_v not_o bring_v without_o the_o nuptial_a or_o bridal_a garment_n before_o thy_o judgement_n seat_n for_o like_a as_o when_o the_o day_n be_v once_o past_a we_o give_v ourselves_o to_o rest_n even_o so_o must_v we_o this_o life_n be_v end_v rest_n in_o death_n nothing_o be_v more_o like_a life_n than_o the_o day_n nor_o nothing_o more_o like_a death_n than_o the_o night_n and_o nothing_o so_o like_o the_o grave_n than_o the_o couch_n or_o bed_n thus_o good_a god_n keep_v and_o defend_v we_o from_o all_o evil_a grant_v we_o now_o live_v in_o impotency_n and_o feebleness_n of_o ourselves_o that_o through_o thou_o we_o may_v be_v preserve_v this_o night_n and_o ever_o amen_n the_o confession_n of_o our_o sin_n unto_o god_n the_o father_n
