bless_a hour_n and_o that_o the_o holy_a ghost_n will_v lead_v he_o carry_v he_o and_o guide_v he_o in_o the_o right_a way_n to_o salvation_n and_o that_o he_o may_v obtain_v at_o the_o length_n everlasting_a peace_n and_o felicity_n we_o now_o require_v that_o this_o may_v be_v do_v therefore_o say_v our_o father_n which_o art_n in_o heaven_n etc_n etc_n do_v you_o require_v this_o say_v and_o yet_o we_o shall_v not_o be_v tedious_a to_o the_o sick_a and_o make_v he_o have_v no_o delight_n or_o be_v offend_v in_o his_o head_n and_o ever_o to_o have_v regard_n whether_o he_o be_v trouble_v with_o any_o temptation_n and_o whether_o he_o have_v a_o desire_n and_o lust_n to_o hear_v god_n word_n for_o the_o sick_a must_v have_v his_o ease_n and_o quietness_n so_o that_o with_o too_o much_o read_v and_o cry_v upon_o he_o you_o bring_v he_o into_o rage_v or_o passion_n and_o make_v his_o head_n idle_a feeble_a and_o weak_a herein_o ought_v every_o body_n to_o use_v discretion_n and_o put_v difference_n ffirst_o well-beloved_a in_o christ_n let_v not_o any_o tentation_n make_v you_o faint_a heart_a for_o christ_n be_v a_o valiant_a &_o mighty_a king_n over_o swallow_a up_o christ_n that_o he_o have_v so_o wonderful_o take_v away_o the_o strength_n from_o death_n that_o a_o poor_a wretched_a man_n may_v overcome_v death_n &_o beside_o that_o may_v mock_v much_o offend_v against_o sin_n not_o only_o with_o temporal_a punishment_n but_o also_o with_o everlasting_a therefore_o you_o shall_v understand_v well_o know_v and_o learn_v that_o you_o by_o mean_n of_o your_o do_n and_o sin_n have_v wrought_v and_o deserve_v not_o only_o a_o temporal_a but_o also_o a_o everlasting_a death_n for_o if_o god_n will_v deal_v with_o you_o according_a to_o his_o earnest_n and_o uttermost_a judgement_n then_o shall_v your_o punishment_n be_v everlasting_a and_o never_o have_v end_n but_o see_v that_o god_n have_v foresee_v you_o from_o the_o beginning_n and_o have_v take_v and_o receive_v you_o through_o his_o fatherly_a correction_n in_o the_o time_n of_o grace_n but_o special_o now_o at_o this_o time_n he_o will_v turn_v your_o everlasting_a punishment_n into_o temporal_a punishment_n cut_v short_a his_o everlasting_a anger_n and_o displeasure_n to_o a_o timely_a and_o temporal_a anger_n and_o yet_o the_o same_o before_o he_o be_v no_o anger_n but_o a_o fatherly_a visitation_n whereby_o he_o will_v make_v you_o leap_v over_o the_o way_n to_o everlasting_a damnation_n and_o lead_v you_o out_o of_o it_o and_o by_o this_o cross_n he_o will_v bring_v you_o to_o the_o right_a way_n to_o heaven_n therefore_o our_o lord_n god_o of_o grace_n and_o favour_n by_o mean_n of_o the_o innocent_a death_n of_o his_o well-beloved_a son_n our_o that_o she_o shall_v never_o hereafter_o lie_v any_o thing_n to_o your_o charge_n how_o be_v it_o so_o that_o righteousness_n be_v partly_o agree_v with_o all_o and_o satisfy_v but_o only_o temporal_o as_o far_o as_o concern_v the_o body_n but_o not_o the_o soul_n this_o be_v a_o wonderful_a battle_n and_o on_o your_o side_n marvellous_o bring_v about_o through_o grace_n for_o what_o be_v this_o temporal_a &_o transitory_a suffering_n endure_v as_o it_o be_v but_o the_o twinkle_n of_o a_o eye_n in_o comparison_n of_o the_o everlasting_a torment_n where_o you_o shall_v have_v abide_v the_o everlasting_a death_n and_o pain_n therefore_o be_v this_o a_o tolerable_a yea_o rather_o a_o acceptable_a and_o pleasant_a exchange_n see_v we_o by_o our_o sin_n have_v deserve_v the_o everlasting_a wrath_n of_o god_n &_o punishment_n that_o this_o punishment_n now_o shall_v endure_v but_o for_o a_o time_n yea_o rather_o but_o the_o twinkle_n of_o a_o eye_n which_o else_o shall_v have_v be_v everlasting_a and_o fearful_a if_o god_n in_o his_o anger_n will_v have_v deal_v with_o we_o therefore_o now_o well-beloved_a you_o shall_v do_v like_o one_o that_o have_v his_o house_n a_o fire_n and_o burn_v all_o in_o a_o flame_n so_o that_o it_o be_v unpossible_a to_o be_v quench_v then_o will_v he_o throw_v out_o and_o fetch_v from_o thence_o all_o his_o treasure_n &_o jewel_n and_o if_o he_o can_v save_v they_o from_o burn_v he_o may_v with_o they_o build_v up_o a_o other_o house_n thus_o must_v you_o likewise_o do_v your_o house_n i_o mean_v your_o body_n be_v of_o a_o light_a never_o die_v nor_o through_o fire_n can_v be_v consume_v but_o you_o shall_v then_o have_v such_o a_o body_n as_o shall_v never_o die_v nor_o at_o any_o time_n suffer_v any_o grief_n punishment_n special_a foresight_n of_o god_n shall_v hang_v between_o two_o grievous_a offender_n in_o tâ—ken_n that_o he_o will_v willing_o die_v for_o miserable_a sinner_n and_o for_o their_o cause_n willing_o give_v himself_o to_o death_n yea_o they_o have_v their_o part_n with_o he_o after_o his_o glorious_a resurrection_n to_o signify_v thereby_o that_o he_o have_v not_o forget_v miserable_a sinner_n albeit_o that_o he_o have_v conquer_v sin_n death_n hell_n and_o sathan_n himself_o and_o yet_o may_v he_o well_o have_v let_v alone_o this_o his_o conquest_n and_o triumph_n and_o have_v neglect_v we_o miserable_a sinner_n but_o he_o have_v now_o seek_v out_o miserable_a sinner_n that_o he_o may_v help_v they_o and_o comfort_v they_o as_o namely_o unbelieve_v thomas_n the_o penitent_a magdalene_n and_o many_o more_o as_o he_o be_v go_v towards_o heaven_n and_o now_o sit_v at_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o god_n in_o great_a glory_n and_o majesty_n yet_o do_v he_o not_o at_o all_o forget_v the_o poor_a sinner_n but_o open_v saul_n eye_n put_v away_o all_o his_o sin_n and_o make_v of_o he_o a_o choose_a witness_n yea_o even_o in_o these_o day_n from_o time_n to_o time_n do_v our_o good_a faithful_a lord_n without_o cease_v take_v up_o sinner_n unto_o he_o for_o what_o do_v he_o else_o at_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o god_n then_o entreat_v speak_v for_o and_o defend_v the_o miserable_a sinner_n as_o a_o faithful_a attorney_n mediator_n peacemaker_n anâ—_z high_a priest_n reconciler_n and_o continual_a king_n as_o he_o have_v take_v up_o all_o we_o you_o and_o i_o and_o all_o sorrowful_a repentant_a faithful_a sinner_n in_o mercy_n he_o give_v we_o now_o daily_o his_o holy_a ghost_n which_o do_v lighten_v and_o purify_v our_o heart_n strengthen_v they_o give_v they_o power_n and_o defend_v we_o in_o all_o our_o need_n therefore_o be_v of_o good_a comfort_n see_v christ_n now_o live_v there_o can_v no_o misery_n come_v unto_o you_o see_v that_o christ_n sit_v on_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o god_n who_o can_v do_v we_o any_o harm_n who_o can_v condemn_v we_o if_o christ_n himself_o do_v absolve_v we_o and_o account_v we_o to_o be_v quit_v free_a loose_a and_o unbound_v and_o so_o pronounce_v we_o to_o this_o lord_n do_v i_o now_o commend_v you_o let_v he_o not_o depart_v from_o your_o heart_n for_o albeit_o i_o must_v depart_v hence_o from_o you_o &_o must_v suffer_v you_o to_o go_v to_o death_n &_o neither_o i_o nor_o the_o whole_a world_n any_o more_o help_v you_o yet_o will_v not_o this_o lord_n depart_v from_o you_o he_o be_v with_o you_o and_o by_o you_o in_o your_o execution_n and_o he_o be_v also_o faithful_a unto_o you_o and_o so_o gracious_a that_o he_o will_v go_v with_o you_o to_o death_n and_o will_v pluck_v you_o out_o again_o from_o he_o by_o his_o almighty_a power_n hold_v you_o upon_o this_o lord_n by_o a_o steadfast_a faith_n for_o i_o now_o commend_v you_o unto_o he_o with_o all_o my_o heart_n the_o fourteen_o dear_o belove_v see_v you_o shall_v even_o now_o be_v carry_v hence_o to_o the_o place_n of_o execution_n &_o shall_v be_v see_v of_o many_o folk_n take_v a_o merry_a heart_n unto_o you_o and_o speak_v unto_o the_o people_n like_o a_o man_n and_o love_o and_o give_v they_o warning_n before_o your_o death_n of_o these_o three_o point_n follow_v first_o that_o they_o will_v well_o think_v upon_o and_o remember_v the_o earnest_n &_o strong_a righteousness_n of_o god_n and_o take_v you_o before_o their_o eye_n for_o a_o example_n of_o god_n justice_n albeit_o his_o judgement_n upon_o you_o in_o comparison_n of_o god_n righteous_a justice_n and_o everlasting_a punishment_n which_o ought_v worthy_o to_o stir_v and_o move_v all_o man_n to_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n but_o as_o it_o be_v a_o flap_n with_o a_o fox_n tail_n secondary_o that_o they_o free_o for_o god_n sake_n and_o of_o his_o mercy_n every_o of_o they_o all_o will_v forgive_v you_o forget_v your_o fault_n and_o forgive_v it_o wherewith_o you_o at_o any_o time_n have_v offend_v any_o man_n whether_o it_o be_v in_o this_o place_n or_o in_o any_o other_o for_o jesus_n sake_n with_o all_o their_o heart_n will_v forgive_v you_o where_o and_o how_o soever_o you_o have_v offend_v any_o of_o they_o whether_o it_o be_v by_o word_n or_o deed_n and_o that_o you_o also_o do_v forgive_v from_o the_o bottom_n of_o your_o heart_n willing_o both_o friend_n &_o foe_n wherein_o soever_o you_o have_v be_v offend_v three_o that_o they_o will_v pray_v to_o our_o lord_n god_n true_o for_o you_o whereby_o our_o lord_n god_n for_o his_o dear_a son_n sake_n may_v give_v unto_o you_o a_o christian_n and_o bless_a passage_n out_o of_o this_o misery_n by_o the_o joint_n work_v of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n amen_n if_o the_o poor_a prisoner_n by_o reason_n of_o weakness_n or_o for_o faint_a heart_n can_v speak_v himself_o and_o in_o the_o place_n of_o execution_n can_v warn_v the_o people_n and_o speak_v unto_o they_o himself_o then_o may_v his_o appoint_a minister_n or_o as_o it_o be_v in_o some_o place_n the_o hangman_n himself_o speak_v unto_o he_o without_o danger_n in_o this_o manner_n and_o warn_v the_o people_n thus_o well-beloved_a as_o you_o be_v now_o here_o present_a and_o mind_n to_o behold_v this_o miserable_a sight_n first_o remember_v wherefore_o this_o poor_a prisoner_n stand_v here_o sure_o not_o therefore_o that_o in_o god_n sight_n he_o be_v the_o great_a sinner_n amongst_o we_o but_o to_o the_o intent_n that_o almighty_a god_n through_o this_o condemn_a man_n will_v set_v before_o your_o eye_n a_o example_n of_o his_o godly_a justice_n whereby_o by_o he_o you_o may_v be_v move_v to_o a_o godly_a fear_n to_o amend_v your_o life_n and_o come_v before_o god_n anger_n correction_n and_o displeasure_n repent_v in_o time_n abstain_v from_o your_o wicked_a life_n and_o go_v in_o a_o godly_a live_n be_v it_o not_o thus_o well-beloved_a say_v yea._n again_o the_o tie_v prisoner_n desire_v you_o all_o here_o hearty_o and_o humble_o that_o all_o you_o here_o together_o special_o and_o general_o that_o you_o will_v forgive_v he_o whatsoever_o he_o have_v speak_v do_v or_o commit_v whether_o it_o have_v be_v privy_o or_o open_o he_o be_v hearty_o sorry_a for_o they_o all_o he_o desire_v you_o all_o humble_o and_o christianly_o therefore_o he_o require_v that_o you_o will_v bestow_v also_o upon_o he_o this_o mercy_n that_o his_o lord_n and_o god_n through_o christ_n have_v show_v unto_o he_o in_o that_o that_o he_o of_o mere_a grace_n and_o love_n have_v forgive_v and_o forget_v all_o his_o sin_n &_o that_o you_o have_v a_o hearty_a compassion_n with_o he_o not_o to_o be_v offend_v at_o he_o but_o bear_v with_o his_o weakness_n help_v it_o suffer_v it_o and_o carry_v it_o as_o the_o christian_a rule_n will_v where_o s._n paul_n the_o 6._o 6._o to_o the_o galatian_n say_v thus_o every_o one_o bear_v a_o other_o burden_n and_o so_o shall_v you_o fulfil_v the_o law_n of_o christ_n be_v it_o not_o so_o my_o well-beloved_a say_v yea._n three_o and_o last_o this_o bind_a prisoner_n also_o require_v and_o pray_v you_o for_o god_n mercy_n sake_n that_o you_o now_o at_o the_o hour_n of_o his_o departure_n out_o of_o this_o misery_n for_o christian_a duty_n and_o love_n sake_n that_o you_o will_v inward_o from_o the_o bottom_n of_o your_o heart_n call_v upon_o god_n and_o pray_v that_o he_o will_v increase_v in_o this_o poor_a man_n the_o faith_n of_o christ_n strengthen_v he_o and_o keep_v he_o therein_o for_o ever_o and_o ever_o whereby_o he_o may_v of_o grace_n enjoy_v a_o
assure_v and_o make_v safe_a in_o and_o by_o that_o only_a baptism_n for_o albeit_o that_o the_o outward_a baptism_n be_v but_o only_o once_o do_v and_o minister_v yet_o do_v god_n work_n that_o he_o than_o do_v by_o it_o abide_v for_o ever_o and_o ever_o this_o comfort_v i_o at_o all_o time_n i_o believe_v also_o that_o god_n by_o the_o deserve_a of_o the_o passion_n and_o death_n of_o christ_n by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v make_v i_o all_o one_o with_o christ_n and_o all_o good_a christian_n and_o have_v make_v i_o a_o member_n of_o the_o holy_a universal_a congregation_n or_o church_n so_o that_o i_o have_v fellowship_n in_o all_o thing_n with_o all_o god_n holy_a child_n &_o that_o whatsoever_o touch_v i_o the_o same_o also_o touch_v they_o and_o what_o so_o ever_o they_o have_v that_o be_v i_o also_o and_o that_o you_o shall_v not_o doubt_v hereof_o he_o have_v likewise_o give_v unto_o you_o the_o sacrament_n of_o his_o body_n and_o of_o his_o blood_n when_o you_o receive_v they_o doubt_v not_o but_o true_o believe_v that_o god_n in_o the_o power_n of_o his_o word_n under_o such_o true_a sign_n work_v in_o you_o the_o above_o remember_v fellowship_n according_a to_o the_o content_n of_o his_o word_n where_o he_o say_v take_v eat_v this_o be_v my_o body_n which_o shall_v be_v give_v for_o you_o again_o take_v and_o drink_v all_o for_o this_o be_v the_o cup_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n which_o shall_v be_v shed_v for_o you_o and_o for_o many_o for_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n take_v hold_n of_o this_o word_n and_o comfort_v yourselves_o therewith_o for_o here_o do_v christ_n promise_v you_o that_o you_o through_o his_o passion_n or_o offer_v of_o his_o body_n which_o be_v do_v upon_o the_o cross_n shall_v be_v one_o body_n with_o he_o and_o with_o all_o he_o so_o that_o he_o in_o you_o and_o you_o in_o he_o and_o all_o saint_n shall_v be_v in_o one_o fellowship_n therefore_o say_v he_o his_o body_n be_v offer_v or_o give_v for_o you_o but_o that_o you_o shall_v not_o doubt_v that_o it_o be_v give_v unto_o you_o he_o say_v thus_o this_o be_v my_o body_n when_o you_o receive_v it_o then_o doubt_v not_o at_o all_o that_o god_n by_o this_o sacrament_n you_o and_o your_o sin_n thereby_o forgive_v but_o that_o you_o shall_v be_v thorough_o persuade_v and_o safe_a that_o it_o be_v do_v for_o you_o you_o have_v a_o pledge_n or_o a_o sacrament_n as_o oft_o as_o you_o take_v it_o remember_v yourself_o and_o think_v on_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n that_o even_o god_n by_o this_o sacrament_n work_v those_o thing_n in_o you_o namely_o that_o chapter_n where_o he_o say_v let_v a_o man_n try_v himself_o and_o then_o eat_v of_o this_o bread_n and_o drink_v of_o this_o cup_n etc_n etc_n that_o be_v you_o shall_v not_o account_v nor_o reckon_v yourself_o to_o be_v holy_a not_o condemn_v other_o man_n not_o despise_v other_o man_n not_o be_v quarrel_v but_o diligent_o look_v about_o how_o needy_a and_o miserable_a you_o yourself_o be_v how_o deep_a you_o stick_v in_o sin_n how_o much_o faith_n and_o other_o ghostly_a gift_n you_o lack_v how_o much_o you_o be_v bind_v and_o indebt_v unto_o god_n for_o many_o thing_n whereof_o you_o be_v not_o able_a to_o pay_v the_o least_o think_v upon_o and_o remember_v these_o and_o such_o like_a point_n how_o you_o may_v have_v remedy_n and_o be_v help_v and_o see_v that_o christ_n in_o this_o sacrament_n have_v promise_v you_o all_o these_o thing_n it_o behove_v you_o with_o earnest_a desire_n to_o seek_v there_o here_o be_v the_o best_a proof_n &_o preparation_n unto_o this_o sacrament_n that_o a_o man_n with_o all_o earnestness_n behold_v his_o own_o misery_n grief_n sin_n temptation_n trouble_n and_o beggary_n etc_n etc_n whereby_o he_o may_v lay_v down_o his_o peacock_n tail_n and_o humble_v himself_o and_o be_v as_o hungry_a and_o greedy_a after_o the_o help_n and_o grace_n of_o god_n as_o a_o man_n be_v desirous_a to_o eat_v after_o sour_a lettuce_n this_o be_v the_o right_a hunger_n to_o this_o meat_n oh_o that_o we_o know_v in_o what_o danger_n we_o stand_v what_o lack_v we_o have_v how_o deep_o we_o stick_v than_o will_v we_o be_v desirous_a to_o this_o sacrament_n and_o make_v as_o much_o haste_n thereunto_o as_o the_o thirsty_a heart_n make_v to_o the_o water_n for_o what_o cause_n a_o man_n ought_v to_o go_v to_o the_o sacrament_n not_o for_o custom_n sake_n because_o at_o easter_n every_o man_n go_v unto_o it_o not_o at_o the_o commandment_n of_o the_o pope_n or_o any_o other_o man_n not_o for_o our_o own_o worthiness_n or_o because_o we_o have_v prepare_v ourselves_o not_o because_o we_o shall_v make_v a_o good_a work_n of_o it_o or_o make_v god_n service_n thereof_o but_o only_o because_o that_o thereby_o in_o the_o power_n of_o god_n word_n and_o pledge_v of_o christ_n i_o may_v receive_v the_o inheritance_n which_o my_o lord_n christ_n jesus_n by_o his_o death_n have_v purchase_v for_o i_o &_o bequeath_v i_o in_o his_o testament_n special_o that_o i_o shall_v be_v free_a from_o all_o my_o sin_n that_o i_o may_v be_v a_o brother_n and_o inheritor_n with_o christ_n and_o with_o christ_n and_o all_o christian_n be_v a_o church_n and_o commonalty_n wherein_o i_o shall_v have_v fellowship_n with_o all_o saint_n so_o that_o whatsoever_o christ_n with_o all_o christian_n have_v be_v i_o and_o again_o to_o be_v short_a that_o christ_n be_v i_o and_o i_o be_o he_o and_o that_o i_o shall_v not_o depart_v from_o he_o but_o still_o abide_v where_o he_o be_v and_o that_o i_o have_v he_o with_o i_o and_o by_o i_o whether_o that_o i_o be_v in_o wealth_n or_o in_o woe_n whether_o i_o be_v in_o prosperity_n or_o in_o adversity_n and_o beside_o this_o he_o never_o forsake_v i_o whether_o i_o be_v in_o need_n or_o in_o any_o other_o temptation_n and_o that_o i_o shall_v beside_o enjoy_v what_o other_o fruit_n soever_o belong_v to_o this_o sacrament_n when_o or_o how_o often_o a_o man_n ought_v to_o go_v to_o the_o sacrament_n as_o often_o as_o you_o be_v trouble_v &_o tempt_v through_o your_o sin_n in_o your_o conscience_n cumber_v through_o the_o fear_n of_o death_n or_o of_o hell_n trouble_v by_o
