be_v some_o encumbrance_n and_o gainstrive_v according_a as_o there_o be_v a_o continual_a battle_n between_o the_o mind_n and_o the_o flesh_n nevertheless_o the_o virtue_n that_o god_n have_v put_v know_v that_o we_o be_v set_v here_o but_o as_o in_o a_o journey_n and_o that_o we_o be_v lodge_v and_o sustain_v here_o on_o earth_n at_o god_n cost_n and_o that_o therefore_o we_o must_v hang_v door_n nor_o bar_n nor_o lock_v nor_o key_n to_o our_o chamber_n yet_o we_o shall_v be_v safe_a under_o his_o protection_n nevertheless_o we_o see_v how_o job_n say_v that_o he_o be_v possess_v with_o fear_n it_o seem_v then_o that_o he_o have_v no_o more_o trust_n in_o god_n and_o consequent_o that_o he_o be_v bereave_v of_o the_o sovereign_a benefit_n that_o we_o desire_v and_o which_o god_n have_v promise_v too_o all_o his_o child_n and_o very_o the_o faithful_a shall_v always_o have_v final_o such_o rest_n in_o themselves_o as_o they_o may_v be_v cheerful_a in_o their_o adversity_n and_o that_o be_v because_o they_o rest_v upon_o god_n goodness_n and_o know_v well_o that_o he_o will_v never_o forget_v they_o you_o see_v then_o a_o rest_n which_o can_v never_o fail_v all_o the_o therefore_o let_v we_o learn_v to_o settle_v ourselves_o in_o god_n promise_n if_o we_o will_v not_o be_v overwhelm_v with_o tremble_a and_o fearfulness_n in_o the_o mid_n of_o our_o adversity_n furthermore_o if_o now_o and_o then_o we_o be_v so_o fore_o oppress_v as_o we_o know_v not_o where_o to_o become_v yet_o let_v we_o not_o cease_v to_o resort_v to_o our_o god_n hope_v that_o he_o will_v chase_v away_o our_o darkness_n and_o not_o suffer_v we_o to_o continue_v always_o in_o such_o distress_n as_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o remedy_n nor_o assuagement_n of_o our_o sorrow_n now_o notwithstanding_o that_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o perceive_v his_o succour_n by_o their_o natural_a reason_n thus_o you_o see_v how_o we_o ought_v to_o proceed_v in_o our_o heaviness_n and_o how_o we_o ought_v to_o practice_v this_o doctrine_n to_o profit_v ourselves_o by_o it_o and_o when_o as_o job_n add_v that_o god_n have_v cast_v he_o to_o the_o ground_n and_o that_o he_o be_v there_o reign_v nothing_o but_o death_n for_o by_o these_o word_n carth_z dust_n and_o ash_n he_o not_o only_o mean_v that_o his_o strength_n fail_v he_o but_o also_o that_o he_o be_v become_v as_o a_o dead_a coarse_a yea_o even_o as_o good_a as_o half_o rot_v job_n then_o show_v right_a well_o that_o there_o be_v no_o more_o token_n of_o life_n in_o this_o extreme_a affliction_n which_o he_o endure_v but_o rather_o that_o he_o be_v condemn_v yea_o even_o of_o all_o man_n wherein_o it_o be_v show_v we_o that_o our_o trust_n must_v not_o be_v tie_v too_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v see_v but_o that_o we_o must_v trust_v in_o god_n yea_o even_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o death_n and_o that_o when_o we_o seem_v to_o be_v past_o recovery_n yet_o notwithstanding_o we_o must_v take_v hold_v of_o the_o life_n that_o god_n have_v promise_v we_o and_o continual_o embrace_v it_o and_o herewithal_o let_v we_o mark_v also_o that_o god_n power_n be_v not_o subject_a too_o any_o human_a or_o worldly_a mean_n but_o that_o he_o work_v after_o such_o a_o fashion_n as_o be_v incomprehensible_a and_o secret_a unto_o we_o lo_o here_o the_o two_o thing_n which_o we_o have_v too_o mark_v in_o this_o text_n which_o go_v joint_o one_o with_o another_o for_o why_o have_v we_o say_v that_o faith_n must_v not_o be_v enclose_v in_o the_o thing_n that_o we_o see_v but_o because_o it_o be_v ground_v upon_o the_o power_n of_o god_n but_o this_o power_n be_v infinite_a and_o may_v not_o be_v compass_v or_o rule_v by_o worldly_a mean_n or_o by_o aught_o that_o can_v be_v see_v for_o god_n be_v able_a to_o work_v after_o such_o manner_n as_o be_v unknown_a to_o we_o see_v it_o be_v so_o it_o behove_v our_o faith_n also_o too_o be_v enlarge_v likewise_o and_o so_o for_o the_o better_a understanding_n of_o this_o doctrine_n let_v we_o begin_v at_o the_o second_o point_n which_o i_o have_v touch_v which_o be_v that_o god_n power_n whereby_o he_o intend_v to_o work_v for_o our_o welfare_n be_v not_o bound_v within_o these_o low_a thing_n and_o therefore_o that_o we_o must_v not_o say_v that_o god_n will_v do_v thus_o or_o thus_o because_o the_o order_n of_o nature_n be_v so_o or_o because_o we_o see_v some_o likelihood_n of_o it_o or_o because_o there_o be_v such_o a_o mean_a or_o help_v to_o compass_v it_o for_o that_o be_v to_o do_v he_o great_a wrong_n inasmuch_o as_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v in_o he_o be_v infinite_a
