touch_v original_a sinne._n as_o touch_v original_a sin_n there_o have_v be_v a_o great_a controversy_n whether_o it_o make_v adam_n and_o his_o posterity_n guilty_a and_o liable_a to_o the_o second_o death_n or_o to_o the_o first_o only_o or_o to_o both_o and_o it_o be_v the_o main_a controversy_n between_o i_o and_o my_o antagonist_n i_o think_v good_a to_o give_v my_o opinion_n further_o upon_o it_o and_o to_o answer_v such_o objection_n as_o be_v offer_v by_o my_o adversary_n and_o possible_o some_o other_o as_o time_n will_v admit_v of_o and_o my_o way_n or_o method_n to_o make_v the_o matter_n plain_a shall_v be_v by_o lay_v down_o this_o position_n which_o be_v position_n 1_o that_o the_o sin_n which_o adam_n commit_v in_o paradise_n do_v not_o make_v he_o and_z his_o guilty_a of_o and_o liable_a to_o the_o second_o death_n which_o i_o shall_v prove_v by_o several_a plain_n and_o evident_a reason_n draw_v from_o the_o scripture_n but_o before_o i_o speak_v unto_o it_o be_v inform_v what_o i_o mean_v by_o the_o second_o death_n and_o that_o be_v the_o lake_n which_o burn_v with_o fire_n and_o brimstone_n which_o the_o scripture_n call_v the_o second_o death_n revel_v 20.14_o for_o i_o do_v believe_v that_o the_o wage_n of_o sin_n be_v death_n but_o as_o there_o be_v a_o twofold_a covenant_n so_o there_o be_v a_o twofold_a death_n viz._n a_o first_o and_o second_o death_n and_o that_o sin_n in_o paradise_n make_v adam_n and_z his_o guilty_a of_o the_o first_o death_n but_o sin_n against_o god_n manifest_a in_o christ_n make_v man_n guilty_a and_o liable_a to_o the_o second_o death_n and_o so_o i_o come_v to_o the_o reason_n to_o prove_v that_o adam_n sin_n in_o paradise_n do_v not_o make_v he_o and_z his_o guilty_a of_o and_o liable_a to_o the_o second_o death_n and_o so_o to_o the_o first_o reason_n which_o be_v reas_n 1._o because_o god_n do_v neither_o threaten_v the_o second_o death_n neither_o do_v he_o pronounce_v a_o second_o death_n or_o any_o thing_n of_o that_o nature_n in_o the_o sentence_n but_o the_o first_o death_n only_o with_o sorrow_n labour_n and_o such_o like_a thing_n as_o the_o punishment_n due_a to_o that_o sin_n and_o first_o
