jew_n which_o be_v in_o captivity_n to_o the_o babylonians_n in_o their_o mystical_a sense_n they_o relate_v to_o man_n as_o they_o be_v under_o sin_n and_o guilty_a of_o the_o punishment_n due_a to_o sin_n to_o wit_n death_n etc._n etc._n and_o therefore_o have_v these_o word_n this_o double_a relation_n because_o the_o thing_n thereby_o signify_v be_v one_o the_o type_n of_o the_o other_o the_o former_a of_o the_o latter_a the_o captivity_n of_o the_o jew_n under_o the_o babylonian_n of_o the_o captivity_n of_o man_n under_o sin_n and_o death_n and_o he_o which_o have_v the_o power_n of_o death_n the_o devil_n for_o it_o be_v very_o well_o know_v that_o the_o captivity_n of_o the_o jew_n under_o the_o babylonians_n be_v a_o type_n of_o the_o captivity_n of_o man_n under_o sin_n and_o death_n and_o he_o which_o have_v the_o power_n of_o death_n the_o devil_n and_o that_o the_o message_n and_o good_a news_n which_o god_n send_v by_o his_o prophet_n of_o the_o delivery_n of_o the_o jew_n out_o of_o the_o babylonian_a captivity_n be_v a_o type_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o good_a news_n of_o man_n salvation_n out_o of_o his_o spiritual_a captivity_n which_o be_v preach_v by_o christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n and_o that_o cyrus_n who_o god_n have_v use_v as_o a_o instrument_n to_o deliver_v the_o jew_n from_o the_o babylonian_n be_v a_o type_n of_o christ_n by_o who_o man_n be_v deliver_v from_o sin_n and_o death_n and_o the_o devil_n and_o when_o one_o of_o these_o be_v prophesy_v of_o in_o the_o letter_n the_o other_o be_v prophesy_v of_o in_o the_o mystery_n yea_o and_o while_o thing_n of_o this_o nature_n be_v thus_o prophesy_v of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n do_v oftentimes_o so_o order_n and_o guide_v the_o penman_n of_o his_o prophecy_n that_o some_o passage_n will_v 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d &_o in_o word_n agree_v aswell_o to_o the_o one_o as_o to_o the_o other_o aswell_o to_o the_o type_n as_o to_o the_o antitype_n of_o which_o this_o parcel_n of_o scripture_n write_v by_o the_o prophet_n habakkuk_n be_v one_o according_a to_o the_o literal_a sense_n therefore_o these_o word_n as_o they_o lie_v in_o the_o prophet_n habakkuk_n may_v be_v thus_o expound_v they_o which_o be_v just_a among_o the_o babylonian_a captive_n though_o they_o be_v under_o they_o from_o who_o they_o may_v fear_v death_n through_o hard_a usage_n yea_o to_o be_v put_v to_o death_n by_o reason_n of_o their_o power_n be_v conqueror_n yet_o if_o they_o believe_v the_o message_n and_o good_a news_n of_o their_o deliverance_n by_o cyrus_n out_o of_o their_o captivity_n which_o i_o shall_v send_v they_o by_o my_o prophet_n they_o shall_v be_v deliver_v from_o their_o captivity_n and_o shall_v not_o die_v under_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o babylonian_n but_o live_v and_o live_v a_o joyful_a life_n according_a to_o the_o mystical_a sense_n which_o be_v the_o sense_n in_o which_o our_o apostle_n take_v the_o word_n here_o we_o may_v interpret_v these_o word_n thus_o the_o just_a which_o believe_v the_o gospel_n shall_v be_v justify_v from_o their_o sin_n by_o their_o faith_n the_o just_a according_o to_o the_o frequent_a use_n of_o holy_a scripture_n he_o be_v call_v a_o just_a or_o righteous_a man_n who_o be_v a_o man_n of_o a_o good_a and_o honest_a mind_n and_o desire_v to_o walk_v upright_o though_o he_o slip_v yea_o fall_v often_o such_o a_o man_n as_o another_o say_v our_o saviour_n to_o the_o jew_n john_n 5.24_o but_o beside_o this_o the_o just_a may_v be_v take_v for_o he_o which_o it_o justify_v and_o so_o may_v it_o be_v take_v here_o when_o we_o expound_v the_o word_n in_o the_o mystical_a sense_n q._n d._n he_o that_o shall_v be_v justi_fw-la ed_z shall_v be_v justify_v by_o his_o faith_n shall_v live_v this_n be_v as_o if_o he_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n for_o the_o sin_n of_o a_o sinner_n by_o his_o death_n must_v needs_o be_v himself_o of_o infinite_a worth_n and_o his_o death_n of_o infinite_a value_n and_o so_o must_v needs_o be_v god_n and_o be_v god_n he_o need_v not_o to_o die_v twice_o or_o thrice_o that_o by_o one_o death_n he_o may_v justify_v a_o sinner_n by_o another_o death_n save_v he_o from_o wrath_n when_o we_o have_v no_o strength_n to_o do_v any_o good_a but_o be_v as_o yet_o ungodly_a and_o so_o sinner_n christ_n in_o due_a time_n die_v for_o we_o 7._o for_o scarce_o for_o a_o righteous_a man_n will_v one_o die_v yet_o peradventure_o for_o a_o good_a man_n some_o will_v even_o dare_v to_o die_v 7._o and_o this_o show_v the_o exceed_a love_n of_o god_n towards_o we_o in_o that_o christ_n die_v for_o we_o while_o we_o yet_o have_v no_o strength_n to_o do_v good_a but_o be_v as_o yet_o ungodly_a and_o sinner_n for_o scarce_o for_o a_o righteous_a man_n will_v one_o die_v yet_o perhaps_o for_o a_o man_n that_o have_v be_v good_a to_o he_o some_o will_v even_o endure_v to_o die_v 8._o but_o god_n commend_v his_o love_n towards_o we_o in_o that_o while_o we_o be_v yet_o sinner_n christ_n die_v for_o we_o 8._o but_o god_n commend_v his_o love_n towards_o we_o in_o this_o that_o while_o we_o be_v yet_o sinner_n and_o ungodly_a and_o so_o enemy_n to_o he_o christ_n through_o his_o appointment_n die_v for_o we_o 9_o much_o more_o then_o be_v now_o justify_v by_o his_o blood_n we_o shall_v be_v save_v from_o wrath_n through_o he_o 9_o and_o now_o if_o when_o we_o when_o we_o be_v enemy_n to_o he_o as_o we_o be_v when_o we_o be_v sinner_n we_o be_v reconcile_v by_o the_o death_n of_o his_o son_n which_o cost_v he_o his_o dear_a blood_n to_o reconcile_v we_o much_o more_o then_o be_v now_o reconcile_v shall_v we_o be_v save_v from_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n by_o he_o when_o it_o may_v be_v do_v without_o the_o loss_n of_o his_o life_n 11_o and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o we_o also_o joy_v in_o god_n through_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n by_o who_o we_o have_v now_o receive_v the_o atonement_n 11._o and_o we_o shall_v not_o only_o be_v save_v from_o the_o wrath_n to_o come_v but_o we_o shall_v also_o be_v advance_v to_o and_o state_v in_o everlasting_a glory_n by_o reason_n of_o which_o we_o do_v through_o the_o faith_n and_o hope_v which_o we_o have_v thereof_o joy_v even_o now_o in_o god_n through_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n by_o who_o we_o have_v already_o receive_v the_o atonement_n or_o reconciliation_n and_o divers_a gracious_a effect_n and_o fruit_n thereof_o that_o be_v to_o say_v divers_a gift_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o be_v as_o seal_v and_o pledge_n to_o we_o of_o that_o everlasting_a glory_n which_o we_o speak_v off_o 12._o wherefore_o as_o by_o one_o man_n sin_n enter_v into_o the_o world_n and_o death_n by_o sin_n and_o so_o death_n pass_v upon_o all_o man_n for_o that_o all_o have_v sin_v 12._o wit_n adam_n sin_n enter_v into_o the_o world_n and_o death_n by_o sin_n and_o so_o death_n pass_v upon_o all_o man_n for_o that_o all_o have_v sin_v that_o be_v for_o that_o all_o man_n have_v be_v make_v sinner_n by_o that_o one_o man._n 13._o for_o until_o the_o law_n sin_n be_v in_o the_o world_n but_o sin_n be_v not_o impute_v when_o there_o be_v no_o law_n 13._o but_o here_o i_o must_v though_o every_o transgression_n be_v a_o sin_n yet_o it_o do_v not_o follow_v that_o every_o sin_n be_v a_o transgression_n i_o say_v therefore_o that_o though_o there_o be_v no_o law_n give_v by_o word_n of_o mouth_n or_o by_o writing_n from_o adam_n until_o the_o law_n be_v give_v by_o moses_n yet_o sin_n be_v all_o the_o while_n in_o the_o world_n though_o indeed_o sin_n be_v not_o impute_v to_o any_o as_o a_o transgression_n all_o that_o time_n 14._o nevertheless_o death_n reign_v from_o adam_n to_o moses_n even_o over_o they_o that_o have_v not_o sin_v after_o the_o similitude_n of_o adam_n transgression_n who_o be_v the_o figure_n of_o he_o that_o be_v to_o come_v 14._o yet_o nevertheless_o that_o you_o may_v know_v that_o sin_n be_v in_o the_o world_n from_o the_o day_n of_o adam_n to_o the_o time_n that_o the_o law_n be_v give_v death_n
