my_o corrupt_a affection_n and_o passion_n mortify_v my_o lukewarmness_n earthly-mindedness_a deadness_n formality_n in_o duty_n mortify_v how_o shall_v i_o come_v to_o have_v my_o grace_n more_o quicken_v my_o faith_n love_n godly-sorrow_n humility_n self-denial_n patience_n thankfulness_n contentedness_n quicken_v o_o how_o shall_v i_o have_v a_o heart_n carry_v out_o more_o to_o glorify_v god_n in_o the_o place_n calling_z i_o be_o in_o time_n opportunity_n i_o have_v how_o shall_v i_o have_v a_o frame_n of_o heart_n to_o go_v about_o the_o service_n of_o god_n more_o free_o willing_o cheerful_o and_o to_o act_v in_o it_o more_o pure_o sincere_o every_o day_n than_o other_o such_o thing_n and_o question_n as_o these_o be_v i_o call_v spiritual_a thing_n and_o they_o be_v the_o thing_n our_o heart_n shall_v be_v exercise_v about_o object_n must_v a_o saint_n only_o be_v exercise_v about_o spiritual_a thing_n be_v there_o not_o some_o external_a thing_n which_o a_o saint_n must_v exercise_v himself_o in_o and_o about_o answ_n yes_o there_o be_v outward_a civil_a employment_n which_o a_o saint_n as_o a_o man_n be_v with_o moderation_n to_o be_v exercise_v about_o and_o also_o there_o be_v outward_a ordinance_n and_o institution_n of_o jesus_n christ_n which_o a_o saint_n as_o he_o be_v a_o christian_n out_o of_o obedience_n to_o his_o master_n command_n so_o far_o as_o the_o same_o be_v make_v clear_a to_o he_o be_v to_o be_v exercise_v in_o and_o about_o in_o exercise_v himself_o in_o which_o though_o the_o thing_n themselves_o be_v external_a yet_o he_o enjoy_v much_o inward_a and_o spiritual_a communion_n with_o jesus_n christ_n therefore_o i_o do_v not_o oppose_v spiritual_a thing_n to_o all_o thing_n external_a neither_o will_v i_o be_v so_o understand_v for_o though_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n do_v not_o consist_v in_o meat_n and_o drink_n yet_o meat_n and_o drink_n be_v useful_a in_o their_o place_n and_o man_n in_o a_o ordinary_a way_n can_v live_v without_o it_o but_o now_o when_o i_o speak_v of_o a_o saint_n exercise_v himself_o in_o spiritual_n i_o oppose_v spiritual_a 1_o to_o thing_n express_o forbid_v which_o be_v simple_o in_o themselves_o evil_a and_o sinful_a be_v thing_n not_o convenient_a nor_o become_a saint_n eph._n 5.3_o 4._o but_o fornication_n and_o all_o uncleanness_n or_o covetousness_n let_v it_o not_o be_v once_o name_v among_o you_o as_o become_v saint_n neither_o filthiness_n nor_o foolish_a talk_n nor_o jest_v which_o be_v not_o convenient_a profane_a course_n become_v no_o man_n but_o worst_a of_o all_o a_o saint_n 2_o to_o thing_n light_a and_o frivolous_a thing_n indeed_o unworthy_a the_o thought_n of_o a_o saint_n
