scripture_n testify_v unto_o we_o if_o we_o will_v have_v the_o true_a knowledge_n and_o wisdom_n of_o god_n to_o dwell_v in_o our_o heart_n for_o god_n require_v a_o free_a and_o empty_a soul_n which_o he_o will_v fill_v with_o his_o knowledge_n and_o goodness_n and_o embrace_v as_o a_o pure_a and_o unspotted_a spouse_n possess_v with_o no_o other_o love_n but_o his_o he_o will_v be_v the_o wisdom_n be_v human_a and_o a_o fruit_n of_o the_o forbid_a tree_n so_o be_v it_o fleshly_a puff_n up_o the_o possessor_n of_o it_o so_o as_o it_o make_v he_o provide_v self-loving_a desirous_a of_o his_o own_o profit_n bold_a and_o wicked_a in_o a_o word_n it_o make_v a_o man_n a_fw-fr lucifer_n and_o so_o contrary_a and_o abominable_a to_o god_n that_o he_o can_v or_o will_v not_o flow_v into_o his_o soul_n and_o indeed_o nothing_o so_o much_o hurt_v man_n as_o his_o own_o knowledge_n wit_n and_o righteousness_n etc._n etc._n which_o make_v the_o word_n of_o the_o everliving_a god_n to_o god_n will_v will_v compose_v whole_a book_n and_o volume_n of_o christ_n which_o they_o neither_o do_v nor_o have_v know_v and_o by_o this_o mean_n they_o do_v so_o weary_o employ_v and_o vex_v their_o mind_n through_o satan_n motion_n with_o so_o many_o question_n art_n and_o idle_a disputation_n that_o scarce_o can_v they_o have_v so_o much_o time_n as_o to_o think_v of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n whereas_o the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o god_n be_v not_o learned_a by_o pry_v into_o run_v over_o read_v or_o hear_v a_o company_n of_o doubtful_a question_n as_o the_o 1._o chapt._n of_o the_o german_a theology_n and_o taulerus_n in_o many_o place_n elegant_o do_v teach_v but_o by_o patient_a and_o obedient_a remain_v harken_v and_o attend_v to_o that_o which_o god_n do_v work_n in_o we_o for_o he_o that_o will_v be_v divine_o wise_a and_o learn_v the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n its_o needful_a that_o he_o hear_v and_o learn_v the_o same_o from_o god_n himself_o he_o have_v detain_v it_o to_o himself_o so_o that_o it_o can_v by_o no_o mean_n be_v teach_v of_o man_n for_o as_o human_a art_n and_o science_n proceed_v from_o man_n and_o be_v their_o work_n so_o divine_a science_n be_v from_o god_n and_o be_v the_o work_n of_o his_o only_a word_n for_o as_o john_n stapitius_n say_v in_o a_o little_a book_n of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n that_o those_o thing_n that_o can_v be_v know_v but_o by_o sense_n and_o experience_n neither_o can_v they_o be_v teach_v by_o or_o learn_v from_o other_o as_o for_o example_n no_o man_n can_v teach_v another_o to_o see_v hear_v taste_n and_o touch_v in_o like_o manner_n and_o much_o less_o can_v any_o man_n teach_v another_o to_o believe_v love_n hope_v repent_v so_o that_o divine_a truth_n and_o theology_n may_v rather_o be_v say_v to_o be_v experience_n then_o art_n no_o man_n can_v learn_v of_o himself_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n love_v of_o god_n faith_n and_o such_o like_a because_o the_o natural_a man_n can_v perceive_v thing_n divine_a nay_o the_o letter_n of_o the_o scripture_n be_v not_o able_a to_o do_v
