fruit_n as_o a_o bad_a tree_n do_v that_o be_v to_o say_v all_o wicked_a thought_n all_o inordinate_a affectiens_n all_o filthy_a and_o dishonest_a talk_n and_o all_o thing_n contrary_a to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n leave_v undo_v all_o that_o be_v conformable_a to_o his_o will_n and_o express_o command_v by_o he_o then_o when_o we_o have_v show_v unto_o he_o in_o this_o manner_n his_o fault_n to_o make_v he_o have_v a_o better_a feel_v of_o they_o and_o to_o conceive_v in_o himself_o a_o great_a displeasure_n and_o sorrow_n for_o they_o we_o must_v aggravate_v they_o unto_o he_o by_o the_o circumstance_n of_o place_n time_n and_o person_n where_o he_o have_v commit_v they_o and_o then_o by_o feel_v they_o if_o we_o perceive_v he_o to_o be_v humble_a and_o contrite_a we_o must_v lift_v he_o up_o again_o and_o comfort_v he_o in_o denounce_v unto_o he_o the_o remission_n and_o pardon_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o to_o assure_v he_o of_o it_o in_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n then_o must_v we_o discourse_v unto_o he_o the_o reason_n contain_v in_o this_o treatise_n to_o take_v away_o the_o fear_n that_o he_o may_v have_v conceive_v of_o death_n the_o devil_n the_o judgement_n of_o god_n and_o last_o the_o sorrow_n that_o he_o may_v have_v to_o forgo_v and_o leave_v this_o world_n and_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v therein_o in_o lieu_n of_o the_o hope_n and_o desire_n that_o he_o ought_v to_o have_v of_o those_o heavenly_a &_o incorruptible_a blessing_n this_o do_v we_o must_v kneel_v down_o our_o his_o knee_n and_o pray_v unto_o god_n for_o he_o and_o all_o the_o assembly_n in_o this_o manner_n a_o prayer_n o_o god_n the_o father_n of_o all_o consolation_n who_o have_v promise_v to_o hear_v all_o those_o that_o call_v upon_o thou_o in_o sincerity_n and_o truth_n and_o to_o reject_v none_o that_o come_v to_o prostrate_v himself_o before_o thy_o majesty_n with_o a_o sigh_a soul_n and_o sorrowful_a heart_n humble_a contrite_a and_o repentant_a with_o the_o remembrance_n and_o feel_v of_o his_o most_o grievous_a sin_n we_o beseech_v thou_o altogether_o in_o the_o name_n of_o thy_o son_n jesus_n christ_n our_o saviour_n and_o redeemer_n that_o it_o will_v please_v thou_o to_o extend_v thy_o mercy_n upon_o we_o all_o that_o be_v here_o assemble_v together_o and_o special_o upon_o this_o our_o brother_n who_o it_o have_v please_v thou_o to_o afflict_v and_o visit_v by_o sickness_n and_o by_o the_o same_o to_o cover_v forget_v and_o forgive_v and_o clean_o to_o blot_v out_o all_o his_o sin_n by_o the_o which_o he_o have_v so_o grievous_o offend_v neither_o for_o he_o neither_o for_o all_o those_o which_o by_o true_a faith_n be_v unite_v and_o incorporate_a in_o thy_o son_n jesus_n christ._n that_o not_o his_o sin_n death_n and_o the_o devil_n nor_o any_o other_o creature_n whatsoever_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o separate_v he_o from_o thy_o love_n or_o cast_v he_o out_o of_o thy_o favour_n and_o grace_n and_o that_o thy_o throne_n be_v not_o a_o throne_n of_o rigorous_a justice_n but_o a_o haven_n of_o health_n a_o throne_n of_o mercy_n a_o sanctuary_n &_o a_o place_n of_o liberty_n and_o freedom_n for_o all_o the_o faithful_a good_a god_n strengthen_v and_o increase_v his_o faith_n herein_o so_o that_o he_o may_v cover_v himself_o as_o with_o a_o shéeld_n &_o be_v by_o this_o mean_n make_v strong_a and_o invincible_a against_o all_o temptation_n wherewith_o he_o may_v be_v assail_v and_o that_o reject_v all_o other_o confidence_n he_o rely_v upon_o nothing_o but_o the_o sole_a righteousness_n obedience_n and_o sacrifice_n of_o thy_o only_a son_n to_o assure_v he_o against_o the_o day_n of_o thy_o judgement_n and_o now_o we_o heséech_v thou_o good_a god_n to_o give_v he_o grace_n to_o pardon_v and_o forgive_v from_o holy_a scripture_n whosoever_o be_v of_o god_n 5._o hear_v god_n word_n and_o do_v not_o only_o hear_v it_o but_o keep_v and_o follow_v it_o also_o for_o all_o thing_n shall_v have_v a_o end_n and_o wax_v old_a as_o do_v a_o garment_n but_o the_o word_n of_o god_n abide_v for_o ever_o now_o see_v it_o be_v so_o that_o by_o a_o man_n sin_n be_v come_v into_o the_o world_n and_o by_o sin_n death_n and_o thereupon_o by_o consequent_a 7_o all_o affliction_n and_o adversity_n do_v depend_v very_o well_o may_v the_o life_n of_o man_n be_v term_v a_o continual_a fight_n here_o upon_o earth_n where_o the_o flesh_n do_v fight_v against_o the_o spirit_n and_o the_o spirit_n against_o the_o world_n the_o flesh_n and_o the_o devil_n who_o be_v the_o deadly_a enemy_n of_o our_o soul_n but_o follow_v the_o counsel_n of_o the_o apostle_n to_o get_v the_o victory_n in_o the_o spiritual_a battle_n we_o must_v resist_v and_o strive_v against_o they_o constant_o by_o faith_n 11._o for_o the_o victory_n which_o overcom_v the_o world_n be_v our_o faith_n the_o which_o be_v a_o assure_a knowledge_n of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n towards_o we_o by_o the_o which_o he_o declare_v in_o his_o gospel_n to_o be_v our_o father_n and_o saviour_n by_o the_o mean_n of_o jesus_n christ_n his_o son_n have_v then_o such_o a_o firm_a faith_n for_o our_o prinicpall_a foundation_n acknowledge_v and_o confess_v yourself_o before_o the_o majesty_n of_o god_n to_o be_v a_o poor_a and_o miserable_a sinner_n conceive_v 17._o and_o bear_v in_o sin_n and_o corruption_n ready_a and_o apt_a to_o do_v evil_a unready_a and_o unapt_a to_o do_v any_o good_a and_o that_o by_o your_o vice_n and_o sin_n you_o have_v transgress_v without_o measure_n the_o holy_a commandment_n of_o god_n so_o that_o you_o have_v purchase_v by_o his_o just_a judgement_n utter_v ruin_n and_o perdition_n upon_o you_o yet_o you_o have_v great_a sorrow_n in_o yourself_o to_o have_v offend_v he_o so_o grievous_o condemn_v yourself_o and_o your_o vice_n with_o true_a repentance_n desire_v that_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n will_v succour_v you_o in_o this_o your_o great_a calamity_n pray_v you_o then_o with_o a_o firm_a
