what_o shall_v we_o say_v to_o the_o order_n of_o the_o franciscan_n that_o be_v among_o they_o a_o order_n that_o make_v profession_n of_o voluntary_a misery_n as_o if_o herein_o they_o do_v approve_v themselves_o to_o be_v the_o true_a disciple_n of_o christ_n alas_o herein_o even_o baal_n priest_n and_o mahomet_n deruice_n outbid_v they_o they_o do_v something_o like_o disciple_n but_o pure_a religion_n and_o good_a conscience_n this_o be_v praiseworthy_a indeed_o and_o such_o suffering_n shall_v never_o go_v unrewarded_a with_o god_n but_o we_o must_v look_v well_o to_o our_o own_o thus_o be_v it_o with_o this_o penitent_a thief_n at_o this_o time_n what_o great_a thing_n believe_v and_o confess_v he_o here_o of_o christ_n against_o all_o sense_n and_o reason_n that_o he_o be_v lord_n and_o king_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n able_a to_o give_v eternal_a life_n and_o salvation_n to_o who_o it_o please_v he_o when_o there_o be_v no_o outward_a appearance_n of_o any_o such_o thereon_o we_o have_v a_o catalogue_n of_o example_n in_o this_o kind_n mention_v by_o the_o author_n of_o that_o epistle_n to_o the_o hebrew_n 11._o heb._n 11._o who_o manifest_v the_o truth_n of_o their_o faith_n by_o believe_v the_o promise_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o extreme_a danger_n and_o the_o reason_n be_v reas_n because_o the_o faith_n of_o every_o true_a believer_n rest_v itself_o upon_o two_o immovable_a prop_n god_n power_n and_o god_n truth_n god_n power_n be_v the_o ground_n of_o that_o admirable_a faith_n that_o be_v find_v in_o abraham_n 11.19_o heb._n 11.19_o in_o apprehend_v in_o their_o own_o judgement_n they_o will_v be_v content_a to_o allow_v of_o but_o such_o truth_n as_o they_o be_v not_o able_a by_o sense_n and_o reason_n to_o apprehend_v they_o present_o reject_v whereas_o true_a faith_n have_v a_o eye_n principal_o to_o the_o word_n and_o rest_v there_o while_o sense_n and_o reason_n see_v nothing_o second_o such_o as_o by_o reason_n of_o outward_a prosperity_n conclude_v they_o must_v needs_o be_v high_o in_o god_n favour_n and_o love_n whereas_o indeed_o 9.2_o eccl._n 9.2_o no_o man_n know_v either_o love_n or_o hatred_n of_o that_o that_o be_v before_o he_o whereas_o the_o child_n of_o god_n that_o have_v faith_n indeed_o rest_v upon_o god_n bare_a word_n though_o for_o the_o present_a he_o see_v no_o performance_n three_o such_o who_o because_o the_o lord_n judgement_n be_v not_o present_o execute_v have_v their_o heart_n set_v upon_o evil_n and_o be_v ready_a to_o say_v with_o those_o curse_a atheist_n where_o be_v the_o promise_n of_o his_o come_n they_o never_o tremble_v before_o the_o lord_n until_o his_o rod_n be_v upon_o they_o whereas_o the_o godly_a man_n that_o have_v say_v indeed_o he_o know_v that_o of_o god_n to_o take_v heed_n how_o we_o consult_v with_o flesh_n and_o blood_n in_o thing_n appertain_v unto_o god_n unto_o eternal_a life_n and_o salvation_n the_o impenitent_a thief_n from_o the_o of_o all_o consolation_n and_o comfort_n stand_v thou_o in_o need_n of_o his_o power_n to_o help_v thou_o present_v he_o unto_o thy_o mind_n even_o at_o the_o first_o entrance_n into_o thy_o prayer_n two_o thief_n make_v two_o different_a request_n unto_o christ_n itself_o his_o desire_n itself_o the_o one_o for_o a_o corporal_a and_o temporal_a deliverance_n if_o thou_o be_v christ_n save_v thyself_o and_o us._n the_o request_n of_o the_o other_o be_v that_o his_o soul_n may_v be_v save_v in_o the_o day_n of_o the_o lord_n lord_n remember_v i_o etc._n etc._n according_a to_o the_o inward_a principle_n of_o the_o heart_n so_o go_v the_o desire_n they_o that_o be_v carnal_a be_v carnal_o mind_v but_o the_o spiritual_a man_n be_v spiritual_o mind_v and_o his_o desire_n be_v principal_o after_o spiritual_a thing_n and_o herein_o will_v teach_v we_o that_o the_o salvation_n of_o a_o man_n soul_n be_v the_o thing_n that_o every_o man_n doct._n desire_v the_o salvation_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v principal_o to_o be_v desire_v next_o unto_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n ought_v principal_o to_o desire_v this_o penitent_n have_v take_v care_n of_o god_n glory_n before_o by_o justify_v christ_n innocency_n and_o now_o in_o the_o next_o place_n he_o look_v after_o the_o salvation_n of_o his_o soul_n that_o it_o may_v go_v well_o with_o that_o in_o death_n yea_o by_o how_o
