day_n that_o i_o can_v but_o strive_v with_o they_o a_o little_a in_o represent_v these_o thing_n to_o their_o consideration_n that_o such_o who_o have_v any_o tenderness_n leave_v in_o they_o may_v repent_v with_o speed_n and_o turn_v to_o the_o lord_n with_o all_o their_o heart_n not_o feign_o but_o in_o sincerity_n that_o so_o they_o may_v find_v a_o hide_v place_n in_o he_o from_o the_o wrath_n to_o come_v and_o that_o they_o may_v understand_v the_o cause_n wherefore_o the_o lord_n hand_n be_v stretch_v out_o against_o thou_o in_o judgement_n oh_o nation_n sure_o all_o who_o be_v prudent_a in_o spirit_n can_v but_o confess_v and_o acknowledge_v that_o these_o thing_n before_o mention_v be_v the_o very_a cause_n of_o the_o present_a visitation_n that_o be_v upon_o thou_o and_o thou_o see_v thou_o have_v have_v such_o a_o large_a profession_n of_o a_o reform_a christian_a religion_n to_o who_o i_o say_v search_v and_o examine_v whether_o or_o no_o the_o main_a ground_n and_o cause_n be_v not_o find_v in_o thy_o teacher_n and_o leader_n for_o have_v they_o not_o cause_v thou_o to_o err_v and_o have_v they_o not_o strengthen_v the_o hand_n of_o the_o worker_n of_o iniquity_n so_o that_o none_o can_v turn_v from_o the_o evil_a of_o his_o way_n by_o promise_v of_o he_o life_n and_o may_v not_o i_o say_v of_o thy_o teacher_n oh_o england_n as_o the_o prophet_n of_o the_o lord_n say_v of_o the_o false_a prophet_n in_o his_o day_n viz._n from_o the_o prophet_n of_o israel_n be_v profaneness_n go_v forth_o into_o all_o the_o earth_n for_o have_v not_o they_o leader_n be_v evil_a example_n unto_o thou_o of_o profaneness_n of_o drunkenness_n and_o whoredom_n many_o of_o they_o and_o universal_o of_o covetousness_n which_o be_v idolatry_n for_o most_o or_o all_o must_v needs_o see_v that_o their_o heart_n be_v go_v after_o covetous_a practice_n and_o by_o their_o lie_n against_o the_o people_n of_o god_n and_o by_o their_o lightness_n they_o have_v cause_v the_o people_n to_o err_v from_o the_o right_a way_n and_o have_v lead_v they_o into_o rebellion_n against_o the_o light_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n wherewith_o they_o be_v enlighten_v which_o will_v have_v lead_v they_o out_o of_o the_o dark_a path_n of_o ignorance_n and_o work_n of_o iniquity_n under_o pretence_n that_o it_o be_v a_o dangerous_a principle_n to_o be_v adhere_v unto_o and_o that_o it_o be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o lead_v out_o of_o sin_n nor_o to_o save_v from_o sin_n when_o indeed_o there_o be_v none_o other_o name_n give_v under_o heaven_n whereby_o man_n can_v be_v save_v from_o sin_n but_o the_o name_n of_o jesus_n who_o preach_v himself_o the_o light_n of_o the_o world_n and_o who_o light_v every_o man_n that_o come_v into_o the_o world_n and_o who_o free_a grace_n that_o bring_v salvation_n have_v appear_v unto_o all_o man_n so_o that_o all_o who_o turn_v from_o this_o grace_n of_o god_n which_o teach_v we_o to_o live_v sober_o and_o righteous_o and_o godly_a in_o this_o present_a evil_a world_n such_o turn_n from_o the_o right_a way_n and_o all_o who_o rebel_n against_o this_o light_n wherewith_o they_o be_v enlighten_v they_o know_v not_o the_o way_n thereof_o as_o job_n say_v and_o so_o they_o be_v stranger_n to_o the_o good_a and_o right_a way_n which_o be_v christ_n who_o light_v every_o man_n that_o come_v into_o the_o world_n and_o be_v not_o this_o light_n or_o spirit_n of_o grace_n in_o the_o inward_a part_n the_o very_a thing_n that_o thy_o leader_n have_v long_o persuade_v thou_o against_o that_o thou_o shall_v of_o they_o into_o prison_n for_o their_o filthy_a lukers_n sake_n and_o how_o have_v they_o provoke_v and_o stir_v up_o thy_o ruler_n and_o people_n to_o the_o same_o work_n and_o even_o make_v they_o their_o vassal_n to_o fulfil_v their_o envious_a will_n so_o that_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v consider_v with_o many_o more_o which_o may_v be_v mention_v have_v we_o not_o just_a cause_n to_o attribute_v the_o main_a ground_n of_o thy_o continue_v in_o these_o so_o gross_a abomination_n unto_o these_o covetous_a hireling_n and_o filthy_a dreamer_n that_o defile_v the_o flesh_n i_o confess_v i_o can_v but_o believe_v that_o there_o be_v multitude_n of_o thousand_o within_o thy_o border_n oh_o england_n that_o see_v their_o folly_n and_o madness_n and_o their_o unstableness_n good_n of_o our_o friend_n and_o burn_v some_o of_o they_o with_o their_o hot_a iron_n and_o cut_v off_o the_o ear_n of_o some_o of_o our_o friend_n for_o the_o truth_n and_o gospel_n sake_n these_o new-england_n persecute_v professor_n say_v to_o some_o that_o they_o do_v persecute_v why_o do_v not_o our_o friend_n come_v through_o the_o heathen_a by_o land_n from_o virginia_n to_o new-england_n belove_a friend_n you_o who_o be_v already_o exile_v and_o send_v into_o foreign_a part_n of_o the_o world_n for_o your_o testimony_n be_v sake_n i_o doubt_v not_o but_o you_o experimental_o know_v in_o a_o especial_a manner_n the_o largeness_n of_o the_o extent_n of_o god_n love_n unto_o his_o people_n in_o a_o suffer_a condition_n you_o have_v be_v in_o measure_n exercise_v therein_o beyond_o though_o they_o be_v rebellious_a and_o this_o be_v the_o way_n to_o make_v true_a believer_n of_o people_n which_o force_n and_o compulsion_n by_o penal_a law_n will_v never_o do_v though_o its_o true_a compulsive_a law_n may_v make_v many_o of_o they_o hypocrite_n who_o fear_v man_n more_o than_o god_n but_o they_o who_o fear_v not_o man_n that_o can_v kill_v the_o body_n and_o can_v do_v no_o more_o but_o fear_v the_o lord_n god_n almighty_a above_o all_o such_o will_v not_o bow_v to_o the_o compulsive_a law_n of_o man_n which_o violate_v the_o righteous_a law_n of_o god_n in_o their_o own_o heart_n no_o more_o than_o shadrach_n meshach_n and_o abednego_n will_v bow_v to_o the_o image_n that_o nebuchadnezar_n set_v up_o though_o for_o their_o steadfastness_n they_o suffer_v natural-learning_n or_o set_v of_o they_o up_o by_o man_n in_o be_v until_o people_n have_v forsake_v the_o right_a way_n and_o go_v into_o cain_n way_n and_o balaam_n and_o then_o the_o envy_n and_o to_o ask_v what_o church_n the_o church_n build_v however_o this_o i_o say_v they_o who_o be_v member_n of_o the_o true_a church_n do_v build_v up_o one_o another_o in_o their_o most_o holy_a faith_n judas_n 20._o and_o as_o for_o monastery_n or_o monk-house_n we_o hear_v of_o such_o thing_n that_o be_v in_o be_v in_o the_o apostle_n day_n neither_o do_v we_o believe_v that_o there_o be_v any_o and_o christ_n after_o fellowship_n and_o acquaintance_n with_o the_o father_n and_o the_o son_n which_o desire_n can_v be_v satisfy_v without_o the_o knowledge_n and_o enjoyment_n of_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o of_o the_o light_n of_o his_o countenance_n and_o for_o this_o cause_n many_o run_v to_o and_o fro_o and_o wander_v like_o sheep_n go_v astray_o from_o the_o true_a shepherd_n fold_v and_o be_v weary_v themselves_o upon_o the_o barren_a mountain_n in_o vain_a look_v thereunto_o for_o salvation_n and_o seek_v the_o live_n among_o the_o dead_a and_o so_o spend_v with_o and_o conquer_v all_o but_o at_o last_o that_o his_o armour_n and_o weapon_n may_v be_v prove_v to_o be_v sufficient_a to_o encounter_v with_o the_o enemy_n of_o truth_n in_o all_o kind_n of_o appearance_n and_o transformation_n it_o be_v his_o lot_n with_o i_o and_o divers_a other_o of_o the_o servant_n of_o the_o lord_n to_o be_v engage_v against_o the_o enemy_n of_o truth_n who_o have_v transform_v himself_o into_o the_o likeness_n of_o a_o angel_n of_o light_n and_o under_o a_o seem_a pretence_n of_o appear_v on_o the_o behalf_n of_o god_n and_o his_o cause_n etc._n etc._n and_o against_o formality_n and_o tradition_n begin_v strong_o to_o oppose_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n and_o the_o ministry_n thereof_o in_o and_o through_o his_o servant_n and_o messenger_n who_o have_v approve_v themselves_o as_o the_o minister_n of_o god_n and_o as_o his_o ambassador_n and_o to_o cry_v against_o our_o assembly_n and_o manner_n of_o worship_n and_o our_o exercise_n therein_o as_o only_o formal_a in_o which_o we_o have_v always_o find_v the_o glorious_a presence_n power_n and_o majesty_n of_o the_o lord_n among_o we_o refresh_v comfort_v and_o strengthen_v of_o we_o even_o be_v witness_n of_o it_o and_o how_o in_o love_n we_o labour_v for_o the_o restoration_n of_o those_o who_o be_v beguile_v through_o the_o craft_n of_o the_o enemy_n and_o for_o the_o preservation_n of_o those_o who_o hitherto_o have_v escape_v his_o snare_n that_o be_v well_o know_v to_o many_o witness_n but_o if_o none_o be_v sensible_a of_o it_o the_o lord_n he_o know_v and_o be_v witness_n which_o i_o perceive_v some_o who_o be_v ignorant_a of_o what_o the_o lord_n intend_v thereby_o have_v rejoice_v but_o let_v such_o know_v that_o they_o have_v make_v a_o wrong_a application_n of_o god_n have_v be_v mighty_o with_o i_o and_o have_v stand_v by_o i_o at_o this_o time_n and_o his_o power_n and_o presence_n have_v accompany_v i_o all_o along_o though_o some_o think_v that_o i_o be_o under_o a_o cloud_n for_o something_o but_o god_n have_v appear_v for_o the_o own_n of_o our_o testimony_n and_o have_v break_v in_o upon_o i_o as_o a_o flood_n and_o i_o be_o fill_v with_o his_o to_o the_o lord_n therein_o after_o which_o he_o be_v silent_a for_o a_o little_a season_n and_o then_o his_o mouth_n be_v again_o open_v in_o the_o name_n and_o power_n of_o the_o lord_n even_o as_o before_o and_o he_o speak_v very_o precious_o unto_o friend_n concern_v the_o thing_n before_o mention_v testify_v of_o the_o greatness_n of_o the_o love_n and_o power_n of_o god_n of_o which_o he_o be_v make_v partaker_n and_o which_o he_o then_o feel_v and_o of_o the_o preciousness_n of_o the_o truth_n which_o he_o have_v with_o we_o bear_a witness_n of_o and_o exhort_v they_o to_o faithfulness_n and_o steadfastness_n therein_o and_o to_o singleness_n that_o nothing_o may_v be_v suffer_v to_o creep_v in_o of_o another_o nature_n to_o intermix_v therewith_o say_v no_o linsy-woolsy_a garment_n must_v be_v wear_v etc._n etc._n with_o much_o more_o to_o that_o effect_n which_o can_v be_v remember_v and_o have_v thus_o give_v his_o last_o testimony_n as_o a_o seal_n unto_o all_o the_o former_a testimony_n which_o he_o have_v give_v for_o the_o lord_n and_o on_o his_o behalf_n in_o about_o two_o or_o three_o hour_n time_n after_o be_v fill_v with_o the_o peace_n though_o he_o have_v be_v take_v away_o in_o judgement_n and_o displeasure_n of_o the_o lord_n because_o of_o his_o appear_v on_o the_o behalf_n of_o god_n against_o that_o antichristian_a spirit_n of_o opposition_n which_o contend_v against_o our_o meeting_n and_o preach_v and_o the_o manner_n of_o our_o exercise_n in_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n as_o formal_a etc._n etc._n and_o let_v such_o know_v that_o if_o his_o be_v remove_v prove_v a_o judgement_n unto_o any_o it_o will_v be_v to_o they_o who_o reject_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n by_o he_o tender_v to_o they_o and_o have_v thereby_o harden_v themselves_o against_o the_o lord_n and_o his_o servant_n and_o have_v make_v a_o wrong_a application_n of_o the_o deal_n of_o the_o lord_n with_o his_o servant_n even_o as_o those_o who_o
