one_o man_n this_o way_n and_o to_o a_o other_o that_o way_n and_o to_o every_o man_n his_o own_o way_n appear_v best_a many_o cry_v out_o say_v ask_v council_n of_o the_o church_n that_o can_v err_v for_o it_o be_v govern_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n if_o thou_o be_v disquiet_v in_o thy_o mind_n hear_v her_o voice_n embrace_v her_o judgement_n and_o it_o will_v shake_v of_o all_o scruple_n of_o thy_o conscience_n but_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v free_o and_o sincere_o demand_v of_o i_o what_o i_o think_v best_a to_o be_v do_v herein_o i_o will_v council_n he_o first_o of_o all_o which_o i_o deem_v to_o be_v the_o right_n and_o wise_a way_n and_o more_o agraeable_a to_o the_o scripture_n that_o in_o such_o a_o dangerous_a time_n he_o chief_o follow_v the_o council_n of_o the_o divine_a prophet_n isaiah_n who_o cry_v out_o that_o they_o rather_o shall_v have_v recourse_n to_o the_o law_n and_o to_o the_o witness_n for_o if_o they_o shall_v not_o speak_v agreeable_a unto_o this_o scale_v from_o our_o eye_n and_o through_o his_o conime_n take_v away_o our_o natural_a blindness_n make_v thing_n plain_a and_o manifest_a and_o by_o this_o key_n open_a and_o unlock_v unto_o we_o his_o secret_a will_n and_o pleasure_n we_o must_v beside_o the_o read_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n which_o the_o church_n have_v as_o the_o one_o and_o only_o guide_v and_o ground_n of_o her_o faith_n in_o christ_n and_o beside_o the_o exercise_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o faith_n in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n whereby_o we_o aspire_v &_o attain_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o discern_v of_o spirit_n we_o must_v i_o say_v have_v recourse_n to_o prayer_n also_o and_o often_o prayer_n and_o earnest_o call_v upon_o god_n almighty_a and_o crave_v his_o aid_n in_o this_o manner_n give_v i_o understanding_n oh_o lord_n lead_v i_o in_o the_o path_n of_o thy_o commandment_n incline_v my_o heart_n unto_o thy_o testimony_n other_o open_v thou_o my_o eye_n that_o i_o may_v see_v the_o christ_n that_o we_o may_v show_v ourselves_o as_o disciple_n in_o follow_v our_o master_n who_o like_o a_o true_a shepherd_n have_v pledge_v his_o life_n for_o his_o flock_n and_o have_v yield_v himself_o to_o the_o most_o vile_a &_o contemptuous_a death_n of_o the_o cross_n it_o follow_v that_o by_o humble_a and_o lowly_a estimation_n of_o ourselves_o we_o shall_v show_v the_o mistrust_n we_o have_v in_o our_o own_o strength_n we_o will_v crave_v without_o feign_v for_o the_o assistance_n of_o god_n and_o whole_o yield_v ourselves_o to_o the_o rule_n and_o government_n of_o his_o grace_n by_o which_o mean_n we_o may_v acknowledge_v the_o true_a voice_n of_o the_o true_a shepherd_n more_o than_o either_o the_o ox_n that_o know_v his_o lord_n or_o the_o ass_n his_o master_n stable_n right_o therefore_o the_o ancient_a holy_a father_n prefer_v this_o virtue_n in_o christian_a piety_n above_o other_o well_o and_o eligant_o do_v saint_n barnard_n set_v it_o before_o among_o those_o only_a must_v it_o be_v do_v who_o be_v studious_a and_o desirous_a to_o learn_v not_o
