ought_v to_o labour_n for_o a_o solid_a knowledge_n of_o the_o love_n of_o christ_n as_o the_o father_n in_o christ_n school_n be_v not_o above_o this_o knowledge_n so_o neither_o the_o babe_n and_o child_n in_o christ_n school_n be_v beneath_o it_o but_o all_o even_o the_o one_o and_o the_o other_o be_v bind_v and_o it_o lie_v upon_o they_o as_o that_o which_o do_v concern_v they_o very_o near_o gospell-truth_n as_o if_o they_o be_v of_o no_o necessity_n or_o of_o no_o necessary_a concernment_n at_o all_o for_o the_o proof_n i_o shall_v not_o need_v to_o add_v many_o place_n it_o be_v so_o full_o lay_v down_o in_o this_o certain_o this_o wise_a apostle_n paul_n will_v never_o have_v so_o earnest_o and_o particular_o beg_v of_o god_n that_o the_o ephesian_n may_v know_v the_o love_n of_o christ_n which_o pass_v knowledge_n if_o it_o be_v not_o of_o special_a and_o necessary_a concernment_n for_o they_o i_o shall_v only_o add_v to_o this_o his_o desire_n for_o the_o ephesian_n that_o who_o have_v set_v about_o some_o study_n and_o after_o some_o progress_n find_v the_o business_n so_o hard_o and_o high_a as_o that_o they_o can_v never_o come_v to_o the_o perfect_a knowledge_n thereof_o they_o begin_v to_o slack_v in_o their_o endeavour_n and_o to_o cast_v it_o off_o but_o now_o belove_v consider_v it_o beforehand_o that_o you_o may_v not_o afterward_o cast_v off_o the_o study_n of_o the_o love_n of_o christ_n when_o you_o have_v spend_v yourselves_o to_o the_o uttermost_a you_o shall_v never_o come_v to_o a_o perfection_n yet_o let_v i_o add_v this_o the_o least_o beam_n of_o the_o love_n of_o christ_n have_v so_o much_o light_n in_o they_o as_o that_o they_o will_v be_v very_o sweet_a and_o every_o piece_n or_o part_n of_o this_o knowledge_n will_v be_v of_o albeit_o i_o can_v attain_v to_o the_o knowledge_n thereof_o full_o yet_o i_o may_v be_v able_a to_o attain_v so_o much_o as_o may_v make_v i_o at_o least_o say_v as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o text_n the_o love_n of_o christ_n pass_v knowledge_n answ_n for_o that_o i_o shall_v offer_v some_o direction_n as_o concern_v the_o mean_n and_o help_v how_o you_o may_v obtain_v the_o knowledge_n of_o first_o be_v much_o conversant_a in_o read_v of_o the_o gospel_n how_o ever_o the_o bible_n in_o general_n do_v give_v testimony_n concern_v the_o person_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o also_o in_o some_o measure_n concern_v his_o affection_n to_o the_o saint_n yet_o the_o gospel_n of_o all_o part_n of_o the_o bible_n do_v in_o a_o more_o ample_a clear_a and_o satisfactory_a way_n hold_v out_o the_o love_n of_o christ_n to_o believer_n that_o which_o all_o the_o prophet_n speak_v of_o he_o or_o of_o his_o love_n be_v so_o allegorical_a and_o so_o dark_o as_o that_o it_o be_v not_o easy_a at_o least_o for_o every_o one_o to_o observe_v the_o light_n of_o christ_n love_n so_o clear_o shine_v in_o they_o indeed_o the_o sun_n shine_v of_o christ_n love_n be_v in_o the_o firmament_n of_o the_o old_a testament_n but_o as_o it_o be_v there_o it_o be_v much_o cloud_v &_o much_o veil_v but_o in_o the_o firmament_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n it_o shine_v in_o its_o full_a brightness_n lustre_n and_o glory_n and_o therefore_o be_v most_o coversant_a in_o read_v of_o it_o and_o while_o you_o read_v the_o gospel_n be_v sure_a to_o carry_v this_o along_o with_o you_o that_o all_o christ_n particular_o towards_o thy_o soul_n remember_v how_o long_o he_o bear_v with_o thou_o whilst_o thou_o be_v in_o the_o state_n of_o nature_n i_o and_o a_o enemy_n unto_o he_o how_o long_o do_v
