therefore_o o_o lord_n when_o we_o consider_v our_o whole_a life_n we_o be_v ashamed_a at_o our_o heart_n and_o can_v but_o sink_v down_o in_o despair_n as_o if_o we_o be_v already_o in_o the_o gulf_n of_o death_n but_o lord_n since_o it_o have_v please_v thou_o in_o thy_o infinite_a mercy_n to_o command_v we_o that_o we_o shall_v call_v upon_o thou_o and_o the_o great_a our_o weakness_n and_o misery_n be_v we_o shall_v with_o so_o much_o the_o great_a confidence_n betake_v ourselves_o to_o thy_o sovereign_a bounty_n since_o thou_o have_v promise_v we_o to_o receive_v our_o supplication_n and_o request_n not_o in_o respect_n of_o our_o own_o worthiness_n but_o in_o the_o name_n and_o by_o the_o merit_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n who_o thou_o have_v make_v to_o be_v our_o advocate_n and_o intercessor_n we_o do_v therefore_o renounce_v all_o humane_a confidence_n and_o do_v altogether_o rely_v on_o thy_o sole_a goodness_n and_o present_v ourselves_o before_o thou_o to_o call_v upon_o thy_o holy_a name_n for_o mercy_n first_o lord_n beside_o the_o infinite_a benefit_n which_o thou_o have_v in_o general_n bestow_v upon_o all_o man_n in_o the_o world_n thou_o have_v do_v we_o so_o many_o singular_a favour_n that_o it_o be_v impossible_a for_o we_o to_o declare_v or_o sufficient_o to_o comprehend_v they_o and_o in_o particular_a it_o have_v please_v thou_o to_o call_v we_o to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o thy_o gospel_n and_o to_o draw_v we_o from_o the_o miserable_a slavery_n of_o the_o devil_n in_o which_o we_o be_v detain_v deliver_v we_o from_o the_o curse_n of_o idolatry_n and_o superstition_n in_o which_o we_o be_v plunge_v to_o guide_v we_o into_o the_o light_n of_o thy_o truth_n yet_o by_o our_o ingratitude_n we_o have_v forget_v the_o benefit_n which_o we_o have_v receive_v from_o thy_o hand_n and_o have_v go_v astray_o and_o turn_v ourselves_o from_o thou_o after_o our_o own_o lust_n we_o have_v not_o give_v that_o honour_n and_o obedience_n to_o thy_o holy_a word_n which_o we_o ought_v neither_o have_v we_o praise_v and_o glorify_v thou_o as_o it_o behove_v we_o to_o do_v and_o although_o though_o thou_o have_v always_o faithful_o admonish_v we_o by_o thy_o word_n yet_o we_o have_v not_o hearken_v to_o thy_o admonition_n therefore_o we_o have_v sin_v lord_n and_o offend_v against_o thou_o this_o cover_v we_o with_o shame_n and_o confusion_n confess_v that_o we_o be_v grievous_o guilty_a before_o thy_o judgment-seat_n and_o if_o that_o thou_o shall_v deal_v with_o we_o according_a to_o what_o we_o deserve_v we_o may_v expect_v nothing_o but_o death_n and_o damnation_n for_o when_o we_o will_v excuse_v ourselves_o our_o conscience_n accuse_v we_o and_o our_o iniquity_n be_v before_o thou_o to_o condemn_v we_o and_o indeed_o lord_n we_o see_v by_o the_o punishment_n which_o be_v already_o come_v upon_o we_o that_o thou_o be_v just_o displease_v with_o we_o for_o as_o thou_o be_v just_a and_o upright_a it_o be_v not_o without_o cause_n that_o thou_o do_v afflict_v thy_o people_n have_v therefore_o be_v chastise_v with_o thy_o rod_n we_o acknowledge_v that_o we_o have_v provoke_v thou_o against_o we_o and_o now_o we_o behold_v thy_o hand_n still_o lift_v up_o to_o punish_v we_o for_o the_o sword_n with_o which_o thou_o be_v wont_a to_o execute_v thy_o vengeance_n be_v unsheathe_v and_o the_o threaten_n which_o thou_o have_v make_v against_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a be_v ready_a to_o be_v execute_v but_o though_o thou_o shall_v punish_v we_o much_o more_o severe_o than_o thou_o have_v hitherto_o do_v and_o that_o for_o one_o plague_n we_o shall_v receive_v a_o hundred_o and_o shall_v even_o suffer_v such_o calamity_n to_o fall_v upon_o we_o as_o thou_o do_v afflict_v thy_o people_n of_o israel_n with_o yet_o we_o must_v confess_v that_o it_o be_v just_a with_o thou_o and_o no_o more_o than_o what_o we_o have_v full_o deserve_v however_o lord_n thou_o be_v our_o father_n and_o we_o be_v but_o dust_n and_o ash_n thou_o be_v our_o creator_n and_o we_o be_v the_o work_n of_o thy_o hand_n thou_o be_v our_o pastor_n and_o we_o be_v thy_o flock_n thou_o be_v our_o redeemer_n and_o we_o be_v the_o people_n thou_o have_v redeem_v thou_o be_v our_o god_n and_o we_o be_v thy_o heritage_n therefore_o be_v not_o so_o angry_a with_o we_o as_o to_o correct_v we_o in_o thy_o fury_n neither_o remember_v our_o iniquity_n to_o punish_v they_o but_o chastise_v we_o love_o in_o thy_o mercy_n by_o reason_n of_o our_o sin_n thy_o anger_n be_v inflame_v but_o remember_v that_o we_o be_v call_v by_o thy_o name_n and_o that_o we_o bear_v thy_o sign_n and_o token_n maintain_v therefore_o the_o work_n thou_o have_v begin_v in_o we_o by_o thy_o grace_n that_o all_o the_o earth_n may_v know_v that_o thou_o be_v our_o god_n and_o saviour_n thou_o know_v that_o the_o dead_a in_o the_o grave_a &_o those_o who_o thou_o have_v destroy_v can_v praise_v thou_o but_o sorrowful_a and_o afflict_a soul_n contrite_a heart_n and_o conscience_n oppress_v with_o the_o sense_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o long_v after_o thy_o grace_n shall_v give_v thou_o glory_n and_o praise_n thy_o people_n of_o israel_n often_o provoke_v thou_o to_o anger_n by_o their_o iniquity_n thou_o do_v just_o afflict_v they_o by_o thy_o just_a judgement_n but_o when_o they_o do_v return_v unto_o thou_o thou_o do_v always_o in_o pity_n receive_v they_o be_v their_o offence_n never_o so_o heinous_a for_o the_o sake_n of_o thy_o covenant_n which_o thou_o make_v with_o thy_o servant_n abraham_n isaac_n and_o jacob_n thou_o do_v turn_v away_o those_o evil_n and_o thy_o rod_n which_o be_v prepare_v against_o they_o so_o that_o their_o prayer_n be_v never_o reject_v by_o thou_o we_o have_v by_o thy_o grace_n a_o much_o better_a covenant_n to_o rely_v on_o than_o they_o which_o thou_o have_v make_v and_o establish_v in_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n which_o thou_o be_v please_v shall_v be_v write_v with_o his_o blood_n and_o ratify_v by_o his_o death_n and_o passion_n therefore_o lord_n renounce_v ourselves_o and_o all_o humane_a hope_n we_o have_v recourse_n unto_o that_o bless_a covenant_n by_o which_o our_o lord_n jesus_n in_o offer_v his_o body_n as_o a_o sacrifice_n have_v reconcile_v we_o unto_o thou_o look_v then_o lord_n on_o the_o face_n of_o thy_o christ_n and_o not_o on_o we_o that_o by_o his_o intercession_n thy_o anger_n may_v be_v appease_v and_o thy_o face_n may_v shine_v upon_o we_o with_o joy_n to_o our_o salvation_n and_o grant_v we_o may_v henceforth_o be_v receive_v into_o thy_o holy_a conduct_n and_o guide_v by_o thy_o holy_a spirit_n
