reason_n yes_o and_o all_o your_o friend_n and_o a_o great_a part_n of_o your_o brethren_n that_o live_v with_o you_o in_o your_o monastery_n may_v be_v offend_v and_o scandalize_v at_o your_o life_n and_o may_v say_v one_o to_o the_o other_o that_o you_o have_v take_v up_o a_o strange_a and_o unusual_a way_n of_o life_n such_o as_o have_v almost_o render_v you_o a_o dolt_n or_o fool_n wherefore_o when_o as_o these_o thing_n shall_v happen_v unto_o you_o see_v sir_n that_o by_o no_o mean_n you_o be_v terrify_v but_o rather_o triumph_v in_o your_o god_n because_o your_o salvation_n be_v nigh_o notwithstanding_o your_o frail_a nature_n without_o doubt_n will_v be_v something_o terrify_v at_o this_o but_o do_v you_o stout_o trust_v in_o god_n who_o will_v by_o no_o mean_n forsake_v you_o furthermore_o when_o you_o shall_v be_v bring_v into_o this_o distress_n it_o can_v hardly_o be_v but_o that_o at_o sometime_o or_o other_o it_o will_v come_v into_o your_o mind_n to_o ask_v and_o desire_v of_o god_n that_o he_o will_v vouchsafe_v unto_o you_o some_o supernatural_a consolation_n and_o make_v you_o to_o taste_v some_o sweetness_n which_o when_o it_o shall_v happen_v to_o you_o be_v sure_o such_o a_o desire_n be_v not_o from_o god_n but_o from_o hence_o rather_o that_o as_o yet_o there_o be_v some_o pride_n lurk_v in_o your_o nature_n for_o true_o it_o be_v great_a presumption_n for_o any_o to_o be_v so_o bold_a as_o to_o ask_v of_o god_n such_o supernatural_a gift_n and_o therefore_o if_o this_o shall_v befall_v you_o that_o you_o shall_v perceive_v any_o such_o desire_n to_o arise_v in_o you_o instant_o set_v yourself_o against_o it_o with_o your_o whole_a strength_n and_o supress_v it_o with_o very_o great_a and_o humble_a resignation_n say_v both_o with_o heart_n and_o voice_n ah_o most_o merciful_a god_n it_o do_v extreme_o and_o from_o the_o bottom_n of_o my_o heart_n grieve_v and_o displease_v i_o and_o i_o very_o much_o lament_v because_o i_o perceive_v so_o great_a and_o high_a a_o desire_n to_o arise_v in_o i_o when_o as_o i_o clear_o perceive_v i_o be_o altogether_o unworthy_a of_o such_o great_a gift_n yea_o and_o unworthy_a that_o the_o earth_n shall_v bear_v i_o and_o when_o you_o shall_v utter_v these_o word_n with_o your_o mouth_n although_o as_o yet_o you_o be_v not_o so_o perfect_o sensible_a in_o your_o heart_n be_v not_o much_o terrify_v but_o only_o as_o oft_o as_o such_o like_a desire_n shall_v arise_v in_o you_o you_o must_v punish_v yourself_o with_o rods._n but_o if_o neither_o by_o such_o mean_n such_o thought_n will_v cease_v then_o endure_v they_o as_o a_o temptation_n so_o long_o as_o god_n please_v you_o shall_v bear_v they_o final_o worthy_a sir_n if_o you_o resolve_v to_o undergo_v this_o course_n of_o life_n you_o will_v perceive_v nothing_o more_o profitable_a to_o you_o then_o that_o with_o a_o profound_a and_o courageous_a resignation_n you_o humble_o commit_v yourself_o to_o god_n in_o all_o thing_n which_o shall_v happen_v to_o you_o whether_o they_o be_v sweet_a or_o whether_o they_o be_v bitter_a whether_o they_o delight_v or_o whether_o they_o torment_v so_o as_o that_o you_o may_v be_v able_a true_o to_o say_v unto_o god_n o_o most_o merciful_a god_n and_o most_o worthy_a to_o be_v adore_v although_o it_o be_v thy_o will_n that_o i_o shall_v remain_v in_o this_o life_n and_o ever_o have_v hitherto_o be_v speak_v by_o i_o be_v extreme_a hard_a and_o difficult_a and_o therefore_o i_o before_o make_v this_o protestation_n if_o it_o shall_v happen_v that_o you_o start_v aside_o from_o what_o be_v propose_v to_o you_o as_o do_v that_o young_a man_n forementioned_a than_o i_o will_v be_v free_a from_o all_o blame_n master_n it_o be_v dear_a son_n very_o true_a which_o you_o say_v and_o moreover_o this_o your_o last_o speech_n seem_v to_o i_o yet_o more_o hard_a layman_n and_o yet_o sir_n you_o entreat_v i_o to_o show_v you_o the_o near_a way_n to_o the_o high_a perfection_n attainable_a in_o this_o life_n and_o true_o i_o know_v no_o way_n more_o secure_a then_o that_o which_o lead_v to_o the_o imitation_n of_o the_o example_n of_o the_o most_o holy_a humanity_n of_o christ_n wherefore_o i_o sincere_o advice_n you_o to_o take_v sufficient_a time_n of_o consideration_n and_o betake_v yourself_o into_o yourself_o and_o whatever_o by_o divine_a which_o she_o do_v be_v good_a and_o that_o in_o all_o she_o offend_v the_o bridegroom_n and_o continual_o fear_v that_o after_o this_o lise_fw-fr she_o shall_v suffer_v grievous_a punishment_n for_o all_o furthermore_o this_o gift_n be_v grant_v she_o that_o she_o be_v have_v in_o derision_n by_o most_o and_o that_o her_o whole_a life_n and_o conversation_n as_o mere_a folly_n be_v vilify_v and_o and_o whereas_o she_o be_v yet_o tender_a fainthearted_a and_o fearful_a she_o be_v exceed_o terrify_v wherefore_o she_o earnest_o call_v upon_o her_o bridegroom_n say_v why_o be_v it_o most_o sweet_a bridegroom_n that_o thou_o leave_v i_o in_o this_o sad_a condition_n when_o thou_o notwithstanding_o know_v full_a well_o that_o i_o can_v possible_o undergo_v it_o but_o it_o will_v cost_v i_o my_o life_n the_o bridegroom_n answer_v she_o why_o how_o now_o my_o choose_a spouse_n if_o thou_o will_v go_v forth_o to_o meet_v the_o bridegroom_n it_o be_v equitable_a and_o congruous_a that_o thou_o shall_v at_o least_o in_o some_o thing_n at_o first_o follow_v he_o and_o travail_v part_n of_o the_o journey_n he_o go_v whereas_o therefore_o the_o bridegroom_n suffer_v death_n for_o the_o love_n of_o his_o bride_n and_o endure_v most_o direful_a torment_n and_o innumerable_a pain_n 33_o year_n think_v you_o it_o not_o congruous_a to_o reason_n and_o every_o way_n fit_v that_o the_o spouse_n also_o out_o of_o love_n shall_v endure_v some_o hazard_n of_o death_n certain_o if_o your_o love_n be_v great_a &_o faithful_a towards_o your_o bridegroom_n it_o will_v easy_o shut_v out_o all_o such_o fear_n from_o you_o the_o spouse_n fear_v such_o or_o the_o like_a answer_v from_o the_o bridegroom_n be_v cease_v upon_o with_o exceed_v great_a fear_n and_o shame_n and_o speak_v thus_o from_o her_o most_o inward_a bowel_n with_o heart_n and_o mouth_n to_o her_o bridegroom_n now_o most_o love_a bridegroom_n i_o full_o understand_v that_o i_o have_v do_v unjust_o and_o evil_o and_o i_o be_o even_o overcome_v with_o fear_n and_o do_v grieve_v true_o with_o my_o whole_a heart_n because_o i_o have_v not_o resign_v myself_o faithful_o unto_o thou_o even_o unto_o death_n and_o out_o to_o her_o a_o excellent_a and_o glorious_a cup_n namely_o this_o that_o over_o and_o above_o all_o the_o pressure_n temptation_n and_o strait_n in_o which_o already_o she_o be_v hold_v he_o permit_v that_o far_o more_o and_o far_o more_o grievous_a than_o ever_o she_o suffer_v before_o to_o fall_v upon_o she_o the_o spouse_n by_o this_o time_n understand_v this_o to_o be_v the_o pleasure_n of_o her_o bridegroom_n suffer_v all_o willing_o and_o free_o for_o the_o love_n of_o he_o and_o bow_v herself_o humble_o to_o her_o lord_n say_v even_o thus_o most_o dear_a bridegroom_n
