have_v here_o choose_v to_o discuss_v i_o shall_v a_o little_a explain_v the_o verse_n before_o it_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o necessary_a connexion_n together_o in_o which_o verse_n we_o may_v observe_v 1._o the_o triumphant_a challenge_n he_o make_v summon_v any_o adversary_n to_o appear_v in_o court_n 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d who_o will_v charge_v or_o accuse_v 2._o the_o ground_n of_o his_o confidence_n how_o little_a that_o accusation_n will_v avail_v because_o of_o the_o mercy_n of_o the_o judge_n that_o acquit_v the_o offendor_n it_o be_v god_n that_o justify_v 3._o the_o limitation_n of_o the_o charge_n in_o respect_n of_o the_o party_n against_o who_o it_o be_v draw_v and_o the_o limitation_n of_o the_o act_n of_o justify_v grace_n in_o respect_n of_o the_o party_n to_o who_o it_o belong_v who_o will_v lay_v any_o thing_n to_o the_o charge_n of_o god_n elect_v it_o be_v god_n that_o justify_v that_o be_v those_o elect_n where_o by_o god_n elect_v he_o mean_v the_o same_o that_o be_v speak_v of_o in_o the_o first_o verse_n of_o the_o chapter_n namely_o such_o as_o be_v in_o christ_n jesus_n that_o walk_v not_o after_o the_o flesh_n but_o after_o the_o spirit_n that_o be_v who_o perform_v all_o the_o condition_n require_v in_o the_o new_a covenant_n for_o these_o alone_o be_v the_o choose_v of_o god_n who_o he_o have_v decree_v to_o reward_v with_o eternal_a life_n but_o because_o the_o grace_n of_o justification_n do_v necessary_o suppose_v a_o work_n of_o satisfaction_n since_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n can_v have_v no_o place_n for_o justify_v a_o sinner_n be_v not_o the_o way_n first_o make_v by_o atone_v his_o justice_n he_o therefore_o proceed_v in_o my_o text_n to_o clear_v that_o point_n and_o show_v whence_o pardon_v mercy_n spring_v namely_o from_o christ_n undertake_n our_o cause_n and_o reconcile_a we_o to_o his_o father_n by_o the_o virtue_n of_o his_o mediatorship_n 12._o act_n 4.11_o 12._o he_o indeed_o be_v the_o proper_a and_o peculiar_a advantage_n in_o christ_n rise_v above_o that_o death_n 3._o that_o christ_n death_n in_o particular_a but_o more_o eminent_o his_o rise_n have_v procure_v the_o saint_n freedom_n from_o condemnation_n 1._o that_o there_o be_v a_o proper_a and_o peculiar_a virtue_n to_o be_v ascribe_v to_o christ_n death_n in_o the_o act_n of_o redeem_v we_o in_o the_o handle_n of_o it_o i_o shall_v premise_v some_o truth_n first_o i_o take_v for_o grant_v what_o scripture_n so_o clear_o reveal_v that_o the_o breach_n of_o a_o positive_a law_n which_o be_v give_v to_o adam_n in_o paradise_n do_v not_o only_o involve_v he_o but_o his_o posterity_n too_o in_o the_o curse_n there_o threaten_v so_o that_o the_o propagation_n of_o mankind_n from_o he_o be_v but_o the_o propagation_n of_o person_n condemn_v all_o of_o we_o be_v liable_a thereby_o to_o death_n temporal_a and_o eternal_a second_o though_o god_n consider_v in_o his_o absolute_a power_n can_v forgive_v man_n the_o sin_n he_o have_v commit_v yet_o consider_v in_o the_o decree_n he_o have_v make_v of_o punish_v his_o sin_n and_o as_o a_o governor_n bind_v to_o maintain_v it_o so_o he_o be_v hinder_v from_o the_o exercise_n of_o that_o power_n three_o no_o creature_n can_v possible_o reverse_v that_o decree_n nor_o expiate_v the_o violation_n of_o this_o governors_n authority_n for_o want_v of_o a_o satisfaction_n which_o he_o demand_v for_o where_o be_v the_o creature_n that_o can_v give_v it_o angel_n withdraw_v from_o the_o brightness_n of_o god_n glory_n how_o then_o will_v they_o flee_v from_o the_o fire_n of_o his_o wrath_n man_n can_v bear_v the_o punishment_n due_a to_o one_o of_o his_o own_o how_o then_o will_v he_o sustain_v the_o sin_n of_o a_o world_n have_v either_o of_o they_o be_v depute_v to_o this_o task_n they_o have_v sink_v under_o it_o poor_a mankind_n have_v be_v lose_v and_o god_n still_o unreconciled_a for_o to_o the_o work_n of_o satisfy_v he_o srength_n as_o well_o as_o innocence_n be_v require_v but_o the_o creature_n at_o best_a be_v too_o weak_a to_o intercede_v the_o price_n of_o its_o suffer_v too_o mean_a the_o merit_n of_o which_o can_v
