all_o my_o life_n yet_o how_o soon_o shall_v i_o have_v do_v with_o it_o and_o the_o delight_n that_o reach_v no_o further_o and_o then_o to_o have_v everlasting_a burn_n eternity_n of_o wrath_n to_o enter_v to_o how_o can_v i_o be_v satisfy_v with_o that_o estate_n all_o you_o offer_v a_o man_n in_o this_o posture_n be_v as_o if_o you_o shall_v set_v dainty_a fair_a and_o bring_v music_n with_o it_o to_o a_o man_n lie_v almost_o press_v to_o death_n under_o great_a weight_n and_o you_o bid_v he_o eat_v and_o be_v merry_a but_o lift_v not_o off_o his_o pressure_n you_o do_v but_o mock_v the_o man_n and_o add_v to_o his_o misery_n on_o the_o other_o side_n he_o that_o have_v get_v but_o a_o view_n of_o his_o christ_n and_o read_v his_o own_o pardon_n in_o christ_n suffering_n he_o can_v rejoice_v in_o this_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o all_o other_o suffering_n and_o look_v on_o death_n without_o apprehension_n yea_o with_o gladness_n the_o sting_n be_v out_o christ_n have_v make_v all_o patient_o to_o the_o lord_n hand_n in_o any_o correction_n thou_o have_v forgive_v my_o sin_n therefore_o deal_v with_o i_o as_o thou_o will_v all_o be_v well_o 1._o learn_v to_o consider_v more_o extraneous_a foreign_a thing_n to_o thou_o to_o tell_v thou_o of_o his_o suffering_n will_v work_v no_o otherwise_o with_o thou_o than_o some_o other_o common_a story_n and_o as_o in_o the_o day_n of_o peace_n thou_o regard_v it_o no_o more_o so_o in_o the_o day_n of_o thy_o trouble_n thou_o shall_v receive_v no_o more_o comfort_n from_o it_o other_o thing_n you_o esteem_v shall_v have_v no_o comfort_n to_o speak_v to_o you_o though_o you_o pursue_v they_o with_o word_n as_o solomon_n say_v of_o the_o poor_a man_n friend_n yet_o they_o shall_v be_v want_v to_o you_o and_o then_o you_o we_o over_o to_o eternal_a death_n be_v knock_v off_o shall_v we_o not_o walk_v shall_v we_o not_o run_v in_o his_o way_n oh_o think_v what_o that_o burden_n and_o yoke_n be_v he_o have_v ease_v we_o of_o how_o heavy_a how_o unsufferable_a it_o be_v and_o then_o we_o shall_v think_v what_o he_o so_o true_o say_v that_o all_o he_o lay_v on_o be_v sweet_a his_o yoke_n easy_a and_o his_o burden_n light_n oh_o the_o happy_a change_n rescue_v from_o the_o vile_a slavery_n and_o call_v to_o conformity_n and_o fellowship_n with_o the_o son_n of_o god_n 2._o the_o nature_n of_o this_o conformity_n to_o show_v the_o nearness_n of_o it_o be_v express_v in_o the_o very_a same_o term_n as_o in_o the_o pattern_n it_o be_v not_o a_o remote_a resemblance_n but_o the_o same_o thing_n even_o suffer_v in_o the_o flesh_n but_o that_o we_o may_v take_v it_o right_n what_o suffering_n be_v here_o mean_v it_o be_v plain_o this_o cease_v from_o sin_n so_o suffer_v in_o the_o flesh_n here_o be_v not_o the_o endure_a of_o affliction_n which_o be_v a_o part_n of_o a_o christian_n conformity_n with_o his_o head_n christ_n rom._n 8._o but_o this_o be_v a_o more_o inward_a and_o spiritual_a suffering_n drink_v and_o dress_v and_o live_v at_o ease_n he_o mind_v earthly_a thing_n savour_n and_o relish_v they_o and_o care_n for_o they_o examine_v the_o most_o of_o your_o pain_n and_o time_n and_o your_o strong_a desire_n and_o most_o serious_a thought_n if_o they_o go_v not_o this_o way_n to_o raise_v yourselves_o and_o you_o in_o your_o worldly_a condition_n yea_o the_o high_a project_n of_o the_o great_a natural_a spirit_n be_v but_o earth_n still_o in_o respect_n of_o thing_n true_o spiritual_a all_o their_o state_n design_n go_v not_o beyond_o this_o poor_a life_n that_o perish_v in_o the_o flesh_n and_o be_v daily_o perish_v even_o while_o we_o be_v busy_a uphold_v it_o and_o provide_v for_o it_o present_a thing_n and_o this_o lodge_n of_o clay_n this_o flesh_n and_o its_o interest_n take_v up_o most_o of_o our_o time_n and_o pain_n the_o most_o yea_o all_o till_o that_o change_n be_v wrought_v the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o till_o christ_n be_v put_v on_o rom._n 13._o put_v you_o on_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o then_o the_o other_o will_v easy_o follow_v that_o follow_v in_o the_o word_n make_v no_o provision_n for_o the_o flesh_n to_o fullfil_v it_o in_o seek_v to_o have_v your_o heart_n set_v against_o sin_n to_o hate_v it_o to_o wound_v it_o and_o be_v die_v daily_o to_o it_o be_v not_o satisfy_v unless_o you_o feel_v a_o abatement_n of_o it_o and_o to_o a_o more_o excellent_a and_o more_o honourable_a service_n and_o of_o this_o suffering_n in_o the_o flesh_n we_o may_v safe_o say_v what_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o the_o suffering_n with_o and_o for_o christ_n that_o the_o partaker_n of_o these_o suffering_n be_v coheir_n of_o glory_n with_o christ_n if_o we_o suffer_v thus_o with_o he_o we_o shall_v also_o be_v glorify_v with_o he_o if_o we_o die_v with_o he_o we_o shall_v live_v with_o he_o for_o ever_o 3._o the_o actual_a improvement_n of_o this_o conformity_n arm_v yourselves_o with_o the_o same_o mind_n or_o thought_n of_o this_o mortification_n death_n take_v natural_o in_o its_o proper_a sense_n be_v a_o entire_a privation_n of_o life_n admit_v not_o of_o degree_n but_o this_o figurative_a death_n this_o
