we_o may_v be_v encourage_v with_o great_a patience_n and_o constancy_n to_o run_v the_o race_n that_o be_v lay_v before_o we_o and_o to_o hold_v fast_o the_o confession_n of_o our_o hope_n without_o waver_v unto_o the_o end_n wait_v still_o for_o the_o manifestation_n of_o our_o bless_a hope_n in_o the_o glorious_a appear_v of_o jesus_n christ_n our_o saviour_n therefore_o be_v it_o that_o the_o apostle_n in_o this_o place_n have_v speak_v of_o the_o abundant_a mercy_n of_o god_n in_o beget_v we_o again_o to_o the_o hope_n of_o life_n in_o the_o next_o place_n expound_v the_o excellency_n the_o property_n be_v three_o eternity_n purity_n and_o unchangeablenes_n to_o speak_v then_o of_o the_o first_o the_o apostle_n call_v eternal_a life_n servaunt_n eternal_a life_n be_v a_o sin_n and_o tentation_n of_o the_o devil_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o of_o the_o world_n except_o only_o the_o power_n of_o god_n himself_o and_o therefore_o they_o be_v wonderful_o deceyve_v that_o think_v it_o stand_v in_o man_n own_o power_n and_o in_o the_o strength_n of_o his_o own_o will_n to_o preserve_v himself_o from_o sin_n and_o to_o keep_v himself_o in_o well_o do_v let_v we_o learn_v to_o fly_v unto_o god_n as_o our_o only_a keeper_n who_o by_o his_o own_o power_n defend_v we_o from_o all_o our_o enemy_n now_o follow_v the_o mean_a or_o mid_n whereby_o this_o power_n of_o god_n be_v exercise_v &_o practise_v in_o keep_v of_o we_o faith_n god_n power_n be_v practise_v by_o faith_n and_o that_o be_v faith_n say_v the_o apostle_n who_o be_v keep_v say_v he_o by_o the_o power_n of_o god_n through_o faith_n so_o it_o be_v faith_n in_o and_o throw_v which_o the_o power_n
of_o god_n keep_v us._n there_o be_v many_o midse_n and_o mean_n in_o and_o by_o which_o the_o lord_n utter_v his_o power_n in_o preservation_n of_o his_o creature_n from_o bodily_a &_o temporal_a danger_n and_o keep_n of_o they_o in_o the_o strength_n and_o enjoy_v of_o this_o present_a life_n he_o use_v his_o creature_n for_o nourish_v we_o in_o this_o mortal_a life_n he_o employ_v divers_a mean_n for_o our_o deliverance_n from_o sickness_n and_o other_o trouble_n as_o medicine_n and_o such_o like_a worldly_a help_n and_o he_o manife_v his_o power_n in_o the_o government_n of_o thing_n in_o the_o creature_n both_o heavenly_a and_o earthly_a in_o all_o which_o it_o may_v be_v justly_o say_v that_o god_n by_o his_o power_n do_v keep_v all_o thing_n in_o the_o life_n state_n and_o condition_n wherein_o he_o put_v they_o but_o none_o of_o all_o these_o mean_n do_v serve_v to_o keep_v we_o from_o spiritual_a enemy_n unto_o eternal_a life_n there_o be_v another_o mean_v whereby_o preserve_v all_o thing_n create_v for_o the_o power_n &_o might_n which_o he_o employ_v to_o our_o preservation_n who_o believe_v be_v that_o same_o power_n and_o strength_n which_o he_o wrought_v which_o we_o in_o great_a measure_n they_o ever_o it_o be_v utter_v in_o any_o other_o work_n because_o it_o must_v be_v great_a that_o make_v christ_n the_o head_n of_o all_o power_n in_o subdue_a all_o thing_n under_o his_o foot_n than_o that_o power_n which_o make_v all_o other_o power_n see_v the_o power_n of_o christ_n give_v he_o by_o the_o father_n over_o all_o throne_n and_o dominion_n overcome_v this_o world_n even_o our_o faith_n for_o who_o be_v it_o that_o overcom_v this_o world_n but_o he_o which_o believe_v that_o jesus_n be_v that_o son_n of_o god_n and_o the_o apostle_n to_o able_a to_o fight_v against_o all_o principality_n and_o spiritual_a wickedness_n and_o not_o only_o to_o fight_v but_o also_o to_o overcome_v they_o so_o that_o even_o it_o be_v a_o wonder_n to_o the_o saint_n themselves_o who_o know_v their_o weacknes_n natural_a that_o they_o shall_v be_v so_o strengthen_v by_o grace_n that_o nothing_o be_v able_a to_o overcome_v they_o the_o use_n of_o all_o this_o be_v to_o teach_v we_o that_o above_o all_o thing_n we_o shall_v pray_v to_o god_n to_o strengthen_v our_o faith_n and_o to_o preserve_v it_o that_o it_o fail_v not_o for_o according_a to_o the_o measure_n of_o our_o faith_n so_o be_v the_o measure_n of_o our_o strength_n and_o according_a as_o we_o continue_v in_o faith_n so_o do_v our_o strength_n continue_v with_o us._n as_o by_o the_o contrary_a our_o faith_n fail_v our_o strength_n fail_v us._n therefore_o be_v it_o that_o peter_n albeit_o he_o receyve_v a_o great_a foil_n from_o the_o devil_n in_o deny_v his_o lord_n yet_o do_v he_o at_o length_n overcome_v the_o devil_n because_o his_o faith_n fail_v not_o though_o he_o fail_v in_o confession_n the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o the_o 11._o chapter_n to_o the_o hebrew_n show_v that_o whatsoever_o the_o saint_n be_v able_a to_o do_v or_o suffer_v for_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n it_o be_v by_o faith_n &_o therefore_o be_v it_o no_o wonder_n although_o the_o wicked_a
