doubt_n and_o staggare_v of_o the_o mind_n be_v offensive_a &_o condemn_v a_o man_n hereof_o the_o apostle_n pronounce_v he_o bless_v that_o do_v not_o condemn_v himself_o in_o that_o he_o allow_v against_o he_o for_o this_o cause_n it_o be_v right_o say_v that_o if_o reason_n err_v and_o deceive_v do_v prescribe_v and_o appoint_v any_o thing_n as_o god_n hest_n and_o yet_o not_o so_o in_o deed_n that_o then_o if_o the_o will_v do_v neglectt_a reason_n commandment_n it_o be_v as_o great_a a_o offence_n as_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v withstand_v the_o commandment_n of_o god._n and_o touch_v that_o other_o question_n which_o encomber_v many_o man_n whether_o we_o ought_v to_o follow_v our_o conscience_n or_o the_o magistrate_n command_v thing_n contrary_a in_o which_o question_n if_o master_n for_o have_v at_o large_a put_v down_o that_o which_o he_o brief_o and_o fine_o touch_v and_o shadow_v as_o it_o be_v in_o his_o preface_n before_o his_o title_n of_o common_a place_n or_o if_o master_n mullins_n will_v vouchsafe_v to_o commit_v that_o to_o write_v which_o he_o discourse_v herein_o profound_o and_o learned_o at_o paul_n cross_n then_o i_o shall_v not_o want_v any_o thing_n that_o may_v serve_v to_o the_o full_a dissolution_n of_o this_o question_n my_o opinion_n be_v this_o if_o the_o prince_n or_o magistrate_n do_v command_v any_o thing_n repuguaunt_n to_o rather_o abide_v painful_a imprisonment_n and_o sustain_v most_o sorrowful_a death_n then_o in_o any_o one_o jot_n obey_v their_o wicked_a ordinance_n the_o bless_a martyr_n and_o bishop_n policarpus_fw-la answer_v the_o roman_n proconsul_n we_o be_v teach_v to_o obey_v prince_n and_o potentate_n in_o those_o thing_n policarpus_fw-la that_o be_v not_o contrary_a to_o sincere_a religion_n and_o chrisostome_n say_v divine_o to_o gaynas_n it_o be_v not_o lawful_a for_o the_o emperor_n be_v the_o defendor_n chrisost_n of_o true_a godliness_n to_o attempt_v any_o thing_n against_o the_o same_o the_o prince_n or_o other_o supreme_a magistrate_n be_v appoint_v the_o keeper_n of_o both_o the_o table_n but_o he_o may_v not_o precéede_v to_o decree_v any_o thing_n without_o the_o compass_n of_o the_o scripture_n for_o will_n worship_n be_v not_o acceptable_a to_o god_n because_o they_o be_v not_o agreeable_a to_o his_o eternal_a will_n neither_o can_v they_o wonder_n for_o it_o be_v the_o pleasure_n of_o almighty_a god_n that_o his_o minister_n shall_v certain_o know_v his_o will_n which_o can_v be_v if_o man_n may_v in_o any_o resp_v invent_v new_a religion_n which_o the_o pompilius_n ethnic_n in_o elder_a time_n know_v right_o well_o for_o numa_n pompilius_n set_v by_o a_o religion_n persuade_v the_o people_n of_o rome_n that_o in_o the_o
