power_n be_v diffuse_v into_o all_o and_o every_o our_o action_n &_o both_o be_v and_o also_o effectual_o woork_v in_o us._n what_o soever_o we_o speak_v or_o what_o soever_o we_o do_v it_o be_v not_o we_o but_o god_n in_o we_o that_o speak_v and_o do_v he_o be_v in_o we_o strong_a mighty_a and_o omnipotence_n yea_o even_o when_o we_o suffer_v torment_n and_o affliction_n when_o we_o be_v kill_v and_o die_v and_o when_o before_o the_o world_n we_o be_v altogether_o silly_a and_o weak_a in_o somuche_o that_o when_o we_o have_v not_o this_o power_n of_o god_n there_o be_v in_o we_o no_o strength_n at_o all_o no_o faculty_n no_o hability_n now_o whereas_o saint_n peter_n say_v that_o all_o thing_n be_v give_v unto_o we_o of_o his_o divine_a power_n his_o meaning_n be_v not_o as_o though_o we_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o make_v heaven_n and_o earth_n and_o to_o work_v miracle_n and_o do_v wonder_n for_o what_o good_a will_v that_o do_v unto_o we_o but_o we_o have_v all_o the_o gift_n of_o his_o godly_a and_o divine_a power_n in_o we_o so_o far_o as_o be_v necessary_a and_o profitable_a for_o us._n and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n add_v further_o these_o word_n that_o pertain_v to_o life_n and_o godliness_n that_o be_v to_o say_v we_o have_v all_o thing_n by_o his_o godly_a and_o divine_a power_n most_o abundant_o give_v unto_o we_o that_o we_o shall_v do_v good_a and_o always_o live_v in_o virtuous_a estate_n and_o blessedness_n through_o the_o knowledge_n of_o he_o that_o have_v call_v us._n this_o mighty_a power_n and_o great_a grace_n of_o god_n procee_v that_o god_n can_v give_v unto_o we_o which_o we_o ought_v not_o to_o exchange_v for_o all_o other_o riches_n that_o be_v either_o in_o heaven_n or_o in_o earth_n for_o what_o will_v it_o avail_v thou_o although_o thou_o can_v go_v through_o fire_n and_o water_n without_o take_v any_o harm_n and_o work_v all_o kind_n of_o miracle_n and_o wonder_n if_o thou_o shall_v want_v this_o for_o there_o be_v a_o great_a many_o condemn_v that_o have_v be_v able_a be_v work_v such_o miracle_n but_o this_o exceed_v and_o far_o surmount_v all_o miracle_n in_o that_o god_n bestow_v and_o give_v so_o great_a a_o power_n unto_o we_o whereby_o all_o our_o sin_n be_v forgive_v we_o and_o abolish_v quite_o out_o of_o remembrance_n death_n satan_n and_o hell_n be_v utterlie_o vanquish_v and_o swallow_v singular_a benefit_n if_o we_o faithful_o believe_v the_o verity_n of_o they_o but_o all_o that_o be_v here_o set_v down_o be_v as_o afore_o be_v declare_v doctrine_n whereupon_o the_o groundwork_n of_o our_o faith_n be_v lay_v for_o that_o which_o here_o be_v write_v be_v rather_o to_o declare_v and_o show_v what_o great_a and_o excellent_a benefit_n grow_v unto_o we_o through_o
this_o holiness_n of_o thyself_o or_o by_o thy_o own_o merit_n but_o that_o thou_o be_v therefore_o holy_a for_o that_o thou_o haste_v the_o word_n of_o god_n for_o that_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v thou_o and_o for_o that_o thou_o be_v become_v entire_o righteous_a and_o holy_a through_o christ_n these_o thing_n must_v thou_o confess_v if_o thou_o will_v be_v a_o christian_n for_o christ_n because_o it_o be_v faith_n which_o make_v that_o we_o be_v attentive_a and_o obediente_a to_o christ_n and_o his_o holy_a worde_n wherefore_o to_o obey_v the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v as_o much_o as_o to_o be_v subject_a to_o christ_n to_o be_v sprinkle_v with_o his_o blood_n and_o to_o believe_v for_o it_o be_v very_o grievous_a to_o nature_n to_o be_v so_o whole_o subject_v to_o christ_n as_o altogether_o to_o forslow_v and_o cease_v from_o our_o own_o matter_n altogether_o to_o neglect_v our_o own_o cause_n and_o to_o count_v all_o that_o we_o do_v to_o be_v sin_n nature_n therefore_o stout_o resist_v and_o strive_v against_o this_o doctrine_n and_o yet_o nevertheless_o it_o must_v at_o the_o last_o stoop_v and_o yield_v itself_o thereunto_o of_o sprinkling_a we_o read_v in_o the_o 51._o psalm_n sprinkle_v i_o with_o hyssop_n o_o lord_n and_o i_o be_v clean_a he_o allude_v to_o the_o law_n of_o moses_n from_o whence_o saint_n peter_n take_v this_o kind_n of_o build_v the_o tabernacle_n he_o take_v the_o blood_n of_o goat_n and_o therewith_o sprinkle_v both_o the_o tabernacle_n and_o all_o the_o people_n now_o this_o sprinkling_a do_v not_o inwardlie_o sanctify_v in_o spirit_n but_o only_o outward_o and_o in_o external_a thing_n and_o therefore_o be_v there_o need_v of_o a_o spiritual_a cleansing_n forasmuch_o as_o that_o sanctification_n be_v outward_a and_o carnal_a whereof_o there_o be_v no_o regard_n before_o god_n yet_o do_v god_n thereby_o as_o it_o be_v by_o a_o type_n or_o figure_n signify_v this_o spiritual_a sanctification_n
