very_a notable_a text_n often_o read_v but_o little_o observe_v 1_o cor._n 15.24_o then_o come_v the_o end_n when_o he_o shall_v have_v deliver_v up_o the_o kingdom_n to_o god_n even_o the_o father_n when_o he_o shall_v have_v put_v down_o all_o rule_n and_o all_o authority_n and_o power_n though_o as_o our_o condition_n be_v for_o the_o present_a we_o have_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o need_n of_o humane_a rule_n and_o authority_n yet_o that_o be_v certain_a that_o there_o have_v not_o be_v any_o such_o enmity_n unto_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n as_o the_o ruler_n and_o king_n and_o prince_n such_o poor_a worm_n for_o such_o vile_a base_a creature_n as_o we_o be_v why_o may_v not_o man_n and_o angel_n have_v think_v thus_o why_o lord_n have_v it_o not_o be_v better_o for_o ten_o wonder_v at_o to_o all_o eternity_n that_o such_o and_o such_o thing_n shall_v be_v do_v and_o suffer_v to_o save_v they_o so_o unworthy_a so_o vile_a thus_o christ_n be_v wonderful_a in_o his_o humiliation_n and_o these_o thing_n have_v be_v but_o brief_o present_v to_o you_o that_o so_o i_o may_v give_v you_o a_o general_a view_n of_o the_o mystery_n of_o godliness_n that_o there_o be_v in_o the_o humiliation_n of_o jesus_n christ_n christ_n wonderful_a in_o his_o conquest_n but_o now_o it_o follow_v further_o that_o christ_n likewise_o be_v wonderful_a in_o his_o conquest_n he_o be_v the_o most_o glorious_a and_o wonderful_a conqueror_n that_o ever_o be_v in_o the_o world_n for_o first_o what_o do_v he_o conquer_v what_o do_v he_o triumph_v over_o what_o he_o have_v conquer_v even_o divine_a justice_n itself_o as_o i_o may_v so_o speak_v the_o law_n god_n wrath_n and_o justice_n come_v even_o fight_v as_o it_o be_v against_o jesus_n christ_n and_o christ_n encounter_v with_o they_o yea_o he_o encounter_v with_o the_o devil_n and_o with_o hell_n and_o with_o death_n all_o these_o be_v enemy_n that_o jesus_n christ_n encounter_v withal_o and_o certain_o have_v any_o one_o but_o see_v christ_n go_v into_o the_o list_n to_o encounter_v with_o these_o combatant_n he_o can_v not_o but_o have_v stand_v amaze_v at_o it_o oh_o what_o will_v become_v of_o this_o champion_n that_o be_v enter_v into_o such_o a_o combat_n as_o this_o be_v but_o stay_v but_o a_o little_a and_o you_o shall_v see_v he_o lead_v captivity_n captive_a you_o shall_v see_v he_o triumph_v over_o all_o you_o shall_v see_v he_o conquer_a and_o say_v i_o have_v the_o key_n of_o hell_n i_o that_o be_v dead_a be_o rise_v and_o have_v the_o key_n of_o hell_n and_o death_n you_o shall_v see_v he_o triumph_v over_o wrath_n and_o justice_n and_o the_o law_n and_o the_o devil_n you_o shall_v see_v he_o fetch_v all_o that_o he_o come_v for_o out_o of_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o devil_n yea_o here_o be_v the_o wonder_n of_o the_o conquest_n never_o be_v there_o a_o man_n that_o do_v conquer_v death_n but_o only_a jesus_n christ_n that_o have_v power_n over_o death_n all_o other_o conqueror_n they_o may_v conquer_v man_n and_o kill_v they_o but_o they_o can_v conquer_v death_n itself_o now_o jesus_n christ_n conquest_n be_v over_o death_n its_o self_n to_o have_v the_o very_a key_n of_o death_n and_o that_o follow_v death_n and_o hell_n and_o further_o which_o make_v the_o wonder_n of_o his_o conquest_n he_o do_v conquer_v death_n by_o die_v that_o be_v the_o wonder_n of_o it_o what_o man_n conquer_v his_o enemy_n by_o be_v slay_v himself_o jesus_n christ_n do_v so_o he_o conquer_v all_o his_o enemy_n that_o come_v against_o he_o he_o conquer_v they_o by_o die_v and_o therefore_o in_o col._n 2._o it_o be_v speak_v of_o christ_n come_v to_o die_v upon_o the_o cross_n and_o have_v spoil_v principality_n and_o power_n he_o make_v a_o show_n of_o they_o open_o triumph_v over_o they_o in_o it_o when_o christ_n be_v bring_v upon_o the_o cross_n one_o will_v think_v he_o have_v be_v triumph_v over_o himself_o then_o for_o he_o be_v bring_v very_o low_o they_o open_o triumph_v over_o they_o in_o it_o we_o can_v imagine_v somewhat_o of_o christ_n triumph_n now_o in_o heaven_n sit_v at_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o the_o father_n when_o he_o ascend_v into_o heaven_n there_o he_o triumph_v but_o to_o imagine_v a_o triumph_n of_o christ_n in_o his_o cross_n when_o his_o enemy_n be_v scorn_v and_o contemn_v he_o that_o then_o he_o shall_v spoil_v principality_n and_o power_n and_o upon_o the_o cross_a triumph_n over_o they_o this_o be_v a_o great_a mystery_n of_o godliness_n and_o herein_o be_v the_o wonder_n of_o christ_n conquest_n of_o christ_n triumph_n and_o then_o further_o the_o wonder_n of_o the_o triumph_n of_o christ_n consist_v in_o this_o that_o he_o have_v not_o only_o vanquish_v all_o the_o enemy_n of_o his_o people_n but_o he_o have_v vanquish_v they_o by_o his_o own_o power_n conqueror_n have_v use_v of_o the_o strength_n of_o other_o but_o christ_n have_v strength_n enough_o of_o his_o own_o without_o any_o addition_n and_o he_o do_v not_o only_o quell_v the_o adversary_n but_o he_o turn_v all_o into_o good_a to_o his_o people_n it_o be_v one_o thing_n for_o a_o conqueror_n to_o overcome_v a_o enemy_n so_o as_o a_o enemy_n shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o do_v any_o more_o hurt_n to_o those_o that_o belong_v to_o he_o and_o another_o thing_n to_o subdue_v they_o so_o far_o as_o to_o make_v they_o all_o to_o be_v servant_n to_o he_o that_o be_v a_o great_a conquest_n man_n by_o a_o strong_a army_n may_v be_v a_o conqueror_n by_o kill_v his_o enemy_n and_o so_o never_o to_o hear_v of_o they_o more_o but_o if_o he_o can_v subdue_v and_o bring_v they_o all_o to_o be_v useful_a and_o serviceable_a to_o himself_o and_o his_o people_n this_o conquest_n be_v a_o great_a deal_n the_o more_o glorious_a now_o such_o be_v the_o conquest_n of_o christ_n that_o he_o have_v not_o only_o quell_v their_o power_n but_o have_v bring_v all_o to_o be_v serviceable_a to_o his_o people_n the_o law_n be_v serviceable_a to_o they_o and_o now_o god_n justice_n be_v for_o good_a to_o they_o and_o the_o very_a wrath_n of_o god_n be_v now_o for_o their_o good_a and_o the_o devil_n and_o death_n and_o hell_n and_o wicked_a man_n they_o be_v all_o make_v useful_a unto_o jesus_n christ_n and_o so_o unto_o his_o people_n last_o christ_n be_v wonderful_a in_o his_o conquest_n in_o this_o that_o he_o conquer_v likewise_o as_o a_o common_a person_n as_o a_o head_n and_o in_o he_o he_o have_v make_v all_o his_o saint_n conqueror_n yea_o the_o scripture_n say_v that_o they_o be_v more_o than_o conqueror_n through_o jesus_n christ_n in_o he_o they_o be_v look_v upon_o as_o have_v overcome_v all_o those_o thou_o that_o be_v the_o weak_a in_o thyself_o and_o be_v able_a to_o do_v least_o be_v afraid_a of_o every_o expression_n of_o god_n wrath_n and_o terror_n of_o the_o law_n of_o the_o threat_n of_o wicked_a man_n of_o the_o temptation_n of_o the_o devil_n of_o the_o very_a thought_n of_o death_n or_o hell_n yet_o i_o say_v if_o thou_o be_v a_o believer_n thou_o have_v conquer_v all_o these_o already_o they_o be_v not_o oneâ—y_o conquer_v to_o thy_o hand_n but_o thou_o have_v conquer_v they_o all_o that_o be_v virtual_o in_o thy_o head_n thou_o be_v make_v a_o conqueror_n over_o sin_n and_o death_n and_o hell_n and_o as_o in_o christ_n thy_o head_n so_o in_o some_o measure_n in_o thyself_o that_o be_v christ_n have_v put_v such_o a_o principle_n into_o thy_o heart_n as_o will_v conquer_v all_o thy_o enemy_n that_o come_v against_o thou_o in_o due_a time_n so_o that_o this_o be_v the_o glory_n of_o christ_n conquest_n and_o he_o be_v wonderful_a in_o it_o now_o more_o particular_o there_o be_v follow_v the_o conquest_n of_o christ_n christ_n resurrection_n and_o his_o ascension_n and_o his_o sit_v at_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o the_o father_n and_o his_o come_n to_o judgement_n in_o all_o these_o we_o have_v a_o wonderful_a redeemer_n i_o very_o brief_o in_o a_o very_a little_a narrow_a compass_n present_v the_o chief_a glory_n of_o jesus_n christ_n unto_o you_o i_o mean_v the_o head_n of_o it_o though_o we_o can_v tell_v you_o the_o thousand_o thousand_o part_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o christ_n christ_n wonderful_a in_o his_o resurrection_n christ_n be_v wonderful_a in_o his_o resurrection_n there_o be_v never_o such_o a_o resurrection_n nor_o never_o shall_v be_v as_o christ_n be_v that_o christ_n rise_v from_o the_o dead_a i_o suppose_v you_o all_o know_v but_o now_o the_o mystery_n of_o godliness_n in_o this_o and_o the_o mankind_n oh_o raise_v up_o therefore_o your_o thought_n let_v all_o that_o be_v but_o man_n raise_v up_o their_o thought_n and_o think_v sure_o there_o be_v some_o great_a happiness_n for_o the_o
