christ_n the_o second_o adam_n wherein_o he_o have_v undertake_v by_o suffer_v to_o make_v satisfaction_n for_o our_o sin_n without_o which_o we_o can_v never_o have_v be_v free_v from_o the_o threaten_a death_n there_o be_v no_o other_o way_n to_o it_o the_o lord_n may_v have_v refuse_v a_o substitute_n and_o therefore_o might_n without_o any_o show_n of_o injustice_n put_v in_o what_o term_n he_o please_v for_o our_o restoration_n unto_o life_n if_o freedom_n from_o threaten_a death_n be_v obtain_v still_o the_o lord_n may_v have_v annihilate_v we_o we_o have_v no_o promise_n of_o eternal_a life_n that_o in_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n be_v null_n and_o void_a upon_o the_o transgression_n of_o the_o first_o adam_n behold_v therefore_o the_o lord_n agree_v to_o stand_v to_o first_o form_n of_o do_v and_o live_v the_o ground_n of_o this_o mistake_n be_v a_o false_a supposition_n viz._n that_o no_o more_o be_v needful_a unto_o life_n but_o satisfaction_n for_o our_o sin_n and_o disobedience_n as_o if_o life_n will_v natural_o follow_v upon_o that_o which_o be_v to_o say_v either_o that_o we_o have_v life_n without_o any_o righteousness_n whereas_o there_o be_v no_o promise_n of_o it_o to_o adam_n or_o to_o any_o since_o that_o run_v that_o way_n or_o else_o that_o we_o have_v it_o by_o a_o righteousness_n of_o our_o own_o work_n out_o christ_n satisfy_v for_o our_o sin_n and_o defect_n therein_o and_o this_o be_v to_o affirm_v that_o we_o have_v life_n still_o by_o the_o covenant_n of_o work_n and_o in_o the_o way_n thereof_o which_o to_o affirm_v be_v very_o anti-evangelical_a and_o unscriptural_a for_o there_o be_v many_o testimony_n that_o unto_o the_o pardon_n of_o sin_n there_o be_v needful_a a_o new_a covenant_n heb._n 8._o 12._o and_o that_o life_n be_v by_o that_o and_o the_o righteousness_n require_v to_o it_o wrought_v out_o not_o by_o ourselves_o but_o by_o another_o for_o we_o even_o jesus_n christ_n and_o thus_o the_o death_n of_o
