in_o this_o principle_n will_v appear_v in_o open_v four_o consequence_n flow_v from_o it_o 1._o if_o any_o such_o holy_a disposition_n or_o inclination_n be_v to_o be_v discern_v in_o a_o soul_n before_o he_o be_v to_o believe_v the_o lord_n intend_v good_a will_n to_o his_o soul_n in_o christ_n than_o some_o particular_a effect_n of_o savour_n or_o some_o act_n of_o the_o lord_n good_a will_n shall_v be_v receive_v by_o a_o soul_n beside_o the_o lord_n promise_v and_o so_o shall_v not_o be_v convey_v through_o the_o receive_n of_o the_o promise_n unto_o the_o soul_n and_o so_o consequent_o the_o lord_n shall_v convey_v grace_n into_o soul_n out_o of_o and_o beyond_o the_o bound_n of_o his_o own_o covenant_n of_o grace_n 2._o if_o any_o of_o these_o act_n of_o grace_n be_v to_o be_v see_v in_o the_o soul_n before_o it_o believe_v the_o lord_n good_a will_n than_o shall_v special_a grace_n be_v convey_v to_o the_o soul_n before_o engraft_v into_o christ_n so_o that_o life_n shall_v come_v down_o from_o jesus_n christ_n into_o the_o soul_n and_o it_o shall_v partake_v of_o the_o influence_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o of_o the_o grace_n of_o christ_n before_o he_o receive_v jesus_n christ_n himself_n and_o upon_o this_o ground_n the_o soul_n shall_v bring_v forth_o good_a fruit_n before_o it_o be_v engraft_v into_o jesus_n christ_n and_o become_v a_o good_a stock_n or_o good_a tree_n and_o so_o express_o contrary_a to_o the_o scripture_n a_o evil_a tree_n shall_v bring_v forth_o good_a fruit_n a_o soul_n in_o enmity_n to_o god_n shall_v bring_v forth_o holy_a disposition_n 3._o if_o the_o soul_n shall_v behold_v the_o act_n of_o the_o good_a will_n of_o god_n towards_o his_o soul_n before_o he_o believe_v the_o lord_n intend_v good_a will_n to_o his_o soul_n in_o christ_n then_o must_v the_o soul_n conceive_v that_o he_o may_v see_v his_o own_o soul_n belove_v actual_o of_o god_n even_o for_o the_o present_a before_o the_o receive_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n to_o make_v atonement_n or_o reconciliation_n to_o god_n for_o he_o the_o soul_n must_v then_o conceive_v that_o there_o shall_v be_v act_n of_o friendship_n from_o god_n to_o the_o soul_n before_o the_o lord_n christ_n shall_v step_v in_o to_o make_v up_o the_o union_n of_o peace_n and_o agreement_n before_o there_o shall_v be_v reconciliation_n 4_o if_o the_o soul_n shall_v of_o necessity_n see_v the_o act_n of_o grace_n in_o his_o soul_n before_o he_o see_v the_o lord_n intend_v good_a will_n to_o his_o soul_n in_o christ_n than_o a_o divine_a word_n shall_v not_o be_v the_o primary_n or_o principal_a ground_n of_o the_o soul_n faith_n but_o rather_o the_o grace_n or_o the_o act_n of_o god_n good_a will_n discern_v in_o the_o soul_n and_o consequent_o all_o the_o foundation_n of_o such_o a_o believe_a soul_n shall_v be_v mere_o in_o the_o soul_n itself_o now_o nothing_o be_v more_o direct_o contrary_a to_o the_o whole_a tenor_n of_o scripture_n authority_n to_o it_o from_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o speaker_n rom._n 4.20_o 21._o a_o three_o principle_n of_o darkness_n be_v this_o that_o it_o be_v presumption_n for_o the_o soul_n to_o believe_v or_o to_o receive_v the_o promise_n of_o jesus_n christ_n darkness_n principle_n of_o darkness_n so_o long_o as_o the_o soul_n see_v nothing_o but_o rebellion_n and_o disobedience_n and_o enmity_n in_o his_o heart_n against_o god_n this_o be_v another_o hellbred_a principle_n of_o darkness_n that_o smell_v much_o of_o the_o smoke_n that_o come_v out_o of_o the_o bottomless_a pit_n to_o darken_v the_o light_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o that_o this_o be_v a_o principle_n of_o darkness_n will_v appear_v by_o some_o few_o consideration_n 1._o in_o regard_n there_o can_v be_v no_o rebellion_n nor_o no_o enmity_n heal_v but_o by_o virtue_n receive_v from_o jesus_n christ_n sin_n receive_v its_o deadly_a wound_n only_o upon_o the_o cross_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o it_o be_v by_o virtue_n of_o the_o application_n of_o the_o
