be_v god_n that_o justify_v who_o be_v he_o that_o shall_v condemn_v it_o be_v christ_n that_o die_v who_o can_v arrest_v impeach_n accuse_v find_v guilty_a and_o condemn_v such_o object_n perhaps_o some_o may_v say_v 1._o the_o devil_n may_v both_o accuse_v they_o and_o condemn_v they_o 2._o wicked_a man_n may_v traduce_v and_o condemn_v they_o 3._o and_o through_o satan_n temptation_n such_o that_o be_v in_o christ_n jesus_n may_v accuse_v and_o condemn_v themselves_o answ_n what_o of_o this_o for_o although_o satan_n wicked_a man_n and_o their_o own_o heart_n may_v lay_v many_o thing_n to_o their_o charge_n and_o so_o pass_v a_o false_a judgement_n upon_o they_o yet_o since_o god_n justify_v they_o neither_o law_n nor_o justice_n can_v condemn_v they_o and_o none_o else_o can_v do_v it_o let_v all_o the_o devil_n of_o hell_n condemn_v they_o and_o all_o wicked_a man_n on_o earth_n nay_o though_o many_o good_a man_n shall_v ignorant_o accuse_v and_o condemn_v they_o as_o job_n unsanctified_a or_o unholy_a person_n they_o lead_v not_o ungodly_a life_n they_o be_v not_o under_o the_o power_n and_o dominion_n of_o sin_n 6.14_o nor_o carry_v away_o whither_o ever_o carnal_a that_o in_o the_o 3d_o verse_n refer_v to_o the_o former_a part_n of_o the_o one_a verse_n for_o what_o the_o law_n can_v not_o do_v etc._n etc._n the_o law_n can_v not_o justify_v we_o acquit_v we_o discharge_v we_o from_o condemnation_n but_o contrariwise_o through_o our_o inability_n to_o keep_v it_o that_o condemn_v we_o and_o so_o he_o illustrate_v and_o confirm_v his_o consolatory_a proposition_n of_o our_o free_a discharge_n and_o justification_n by_o jesus_n christ_n in_o ver_fw-la 1._o by_o that_o in_o ver_fw-la 3._o in_o the_o second_o verse_n the_o spirit_n be_v set_v the_o first_o adam_n though_o i_o fear_v they_o do_v not_o so_o careful_o distinguish_v as_o they_o ought_v between_o our_o fundamental_a and_o virtual_a justification_n in_o christ_n as_o our_o head_n and_o representative_a and_o our_o actual_a or_o personal_a justification_n when_o we_o be_v unite_v to_o he_o and_o find_v ill_a use_n make_v of_o that_o doctrine_n i_o have_v be_v persuade_v to_o publish_v the_o first_o sermon_n i_o preach_v upon_o this_o occasion_n not_o know_v how_o far_o this_o notion_n may_v spread_v among_o weak_a and_o unwary_a hearer_n and_o have_v some_o hope_v this_o may_v be_v through_o the_o blessing_n of_o god_n a_o prevention_n of_o it_o one_o thing_n i_o can_v but_o bewail_v i.e._n that_o because_o we_o may_v differ_v perhaps_o in_o some_o respect_n from_o that_o doctrine_n before_o mention_v that_o we_o must_v therefore_o be_v charge_v with_o arminianism_n which_o error_n we_o abhor_v and_o any_o other_o that_o tend_v to_o becloud_v or_o darken_v the_o doctrine_n of_o free_a justification_n by_o christ_n alone_o without_o work_n or_o inherent_a righteousness_n none_o have_v reason_n to_o think_v that_o i_o favour_n in_o the_o least_o the_o arminian_n or_o baxterian_a error_n consider_v what_o i_o have_v late_o publish_v on_o the_o great_a doctrine_n of_o justification_n in_o two_o sermon_n on_o rom._n 4.5_o which_o doctrine_n i_o have_v far_o confirm_v in_o those_o sermon_n preach_v from_o the_o text_n this_o be_v ground_v upon_o viz._n rom._n 8.1_o this_o be_v only_o the_o first_o in_o which_o the_o nature_n of_o our_o mystical_a union_n with_o christ_n be_v open_v and_o the_o sweet_a consolation_n that_o flow_v therefrom_o to_o all_o believer_n large_o apply_v reader_n just_a as_o this_o sermon_n be_v go_v into_o and_o eternal_a life_n thereby_o 8.3_o insomuch_o that_o the_o jew_n be_v in_o no_o better_a state_n than_o the_o gentile_n all_o be_v go_v out_o of_o the_o way_n 3._o and_o the_o whole_a world_n become_v guilty_a before_o god_n but_o to_o revive_v their_o sink_a hope_n he_o than_o display_v the_o white_a flag_n of_o peace_n through_o the_o freegrace_n of_o god_n in_o jesus_n christ_n that_o
