it_o though_o it_o be_v not_o of_o it_o as_o pure_a with_o a_o impure_a thing_n subtle_a with_o gross_a substance_n with_o its_o excrement_n and_o this_o second_o kind_n of_o separation_n be_v use_v as_o the_o former_a for_o two_o reason_n also_o one_o be_v that_o the_o pure_a substance_n be_v preserve_v from_o corruption_n and_o death_n the_o other_o be_v that_o it_o may_v more_o free_o exercise_v its_o virtue_n and_o action_n as_o be_v free_a from_o its_o gross_a dregs_o for_o when_o that_o which_o be_v impure_a possess_v and_o contain_v that_o which_o be_v substantial_o pure_a it_o never_o cease_v to_o oppress_v it_o till_o it_o have_v quite_o vanquish_v and_o suffocate_v it_o and_o by_o that_o mean_v make_v way_n for_o mortal_a corruption_n which_o never_o approach_v near_o simple_a and_o pure_a thing_n but_o haunt_v all_o fowl_n and_o impure_a one_o now_o every_o substance_n be_v of_o itself_o simple_a and_o pure_a and_o by_o consequence_n not_o subject_a to_o corruption_n and_o death_n as_o we_o may_v observe_v in_o all_o superior_a thing_n which_o be_v free_a from_o excrement_n but_o inferior_a body_n be_v otherwise_o for_o they_o lie_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o impure_a excrement_n of_o this_o world_n which_o natural_o destroy_v and_o mortify_v their_o guest_n whereas_o purity_n enlivens_fw-la and_o conserves_n corruption_n and_o mortification_n surround_v man_n because_o of_o the_o multitude_n of_o dregs_o and_o excrement_n they_o be_v infest_a with_o which_o make_v they_o live_v a_o short_a and_o miserable_a life_n as_o load_v with_o aerumny_n and_o disease_n so_o that_o they_o be_v here_o
enervate_v both_o by_o reason_n of_o vacuity_n which_o it_o abhor_v above_o all_o thing_n and_o also_o by_o reason_n of_o violent_a motion_n cause_v by_o such_o purge_n and_o thus_o they_o rather_o procure_v death_n then_o sanity_n for_o nature_n can_v no_o more_o endure_v violent_a motion_n than_o vacuity_n and_o she_o be_v very_o impatient_a of_o these_o two_o her_o swear_a enemy_n which_o attempt_n so_o evident_o her_o destruction_n and_o for_o this_o cause_n common_a medicine_n seldom_o cure_v obstinate_a disease_n by_o their_o composition_n as_o they_o common_o prepare_v they_o and_o if_o among_o many_o any_o one_o be_v cure_v this_o happen_v not_o because_o of_o pill_n bowl_n and_o potion_n but_o of_o the_o strength_n of_o nature_n which_o be_v able_a to_o overcome_v the_o impure_a quantity_n mix_v with_o these_o remedy_n and_o extract_v something_o out_o of_o their_o pure_a substance_n commodious_a for_o its_o subsidy_n or_o else_o because_o the_o poisonous_a quality_n of_o these_o excrementitious_a and_o corruptive_a thing_n be_v reject_v and_o expel_v by_o nature_n which_o be_v of_o that_o power_n that_o it_o carry_v with_o it_o some_o portion_n of_o the_o peccant_a humour_n which_o be_v like_a to_o it_o by_o attraction_n and_o sympathy_n and_o thus_o a_o extraneous_a medicament_n impugn_v the_o body_n move_v nature_n which_o provoke_v and_o prepare_v they_o to_o the_o high_a degree_n of_o purity_n get_v they_o by_o regeneration_n a_o new_a form_n take_v away_o their_o former_a nature_n quality_n and_o propriety_n and_o change_v their_o impure_a body_n into_o spirit_n full_a of_o purity_n their_o moisture_n and_o cold_a into_o dryness_n and_o heat_n practise_v and_o effect_v this_o not_o only_o in_o some_o species_n or_o simples_n but_o in_o the_o great_a body_n of_o the_o world_n also_o which_o be_v our_o universal_a spirit_n for_o unless_o the_o universal_a nature_n of_o all_o thing_n be_v renew_v it_o be_v impossible_a to_o bring_v it_o to_o a_o state_n of_o incorruption_n regeneration_n then_o be_v the_o first_o fruit_n of_o separation_n but_o as_o a_o grain_n can_v of_o itself_o generate_v nothing_o unless_o it_o die_v and_o putrefy_v in_o the_o earth_n so_o it_o be_v impossible_a any_o thing_n shall_v be_v renew_v or_o regenerate_v save_v by_o precedent_a mortification_n mortification_n then_o be_v the_o first_o step_n to_o separation_n and_o the_o only_a tract_n to_o that_o end_n for_o as_o long_o as_o body_n remain_v in_o their_o old_a corruption_n and_o origine_fw-la separation_n can_v reach_v they_o unless_o serpent_n hide_v in_o their_o aliment_n who_o enticement_n lead_v man_n to_o transgression_n and_o to_o the_o eat_n of_o fruit_n wherein_o death_n be_v include_v and_o this_o corrupt_a serpent_n be_v terrestrial_a and_o corruptible_a and_o the_o first_o be_v as_o a_o sojourner_n the_o second_o as_o a_o prisoner_n but_o here_o arise_v a_o great_a question_n how_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o the_o heavenly_a man_n can_v whilst_o bury_v in_o this_o putrid_a and_o corrupt_a carcase_n conserve_v his_o essential_a purity_n for_o it_o be_v manifest_a that_o a_o liquor_n though_o never_o so_o forbid_a fruit_n or_o to_o speak_v more_o express_o on_o the_o intemperance_n of_o aliment_n condit_v with_o pernicious_a and_o contagious_a corruption_n for_o which_o cause_n this_o intemperance_n &_o corruption_n must_v be_v mortify_v that_o the_o old_a destroyer_n of_o man_n may_v be_v restrain_v &_o that_o that_o may_v be_v repair_v by_o newness_n of_o life_n which_o make_v we_o like_o our_o heavenly_a father_n in_o incorruption_n and_o our_o restorer_n jesus_n have_v teach_v we_o two_o way_n to_o regeneration_n one_o by_o the_o water_n of_o baptism_n and_o the_o other_o by_o the_o fire_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n water_n wash_v away_o the_o spot_n and_o fire_n consume_v and_o separate_v all_o impurity_n from_o the_o pure_a essence_n and_o as_o his_o precious_a blood_n which_o be_v
