hell_n and_o satan_n his_o work_n than_o which_o he_o have_v stir_v up_o will_v quail_v god_n will_v restore_v we_o politic_a peace_n right_o shall_v be_v right_a and_o have_v right_a god_n gospel_n shall_v tarry_v with_o we_o religion_n shall_v be_v cherish_v superstition_n suppress_v and_o so_o we_o yet_o something_o happy_a notwithstanding_o the_o great_a loss_n of_o our_o most_o gracious_a liege_n sovereign_a lord_n all_o these_o will_v come_v to_o pass_v you_o sae_z if_o the_o gentleman_n usher_n i_o speak_v of_o i_o mean_v repentance_n be_v at_o inn_n with_o we_o as_o if_o he_o be_v summer_n as_o i_o be_v abroad_o preach_v in_o the_o country_n my_o chance_n be_v to_o make_v a_o sermon_n of_o repentance_n the_o which_o be_v earnest_o of_o diverse_a desire_a of_o i_o that_o i_o shall_v geve_v it_o they_o write_v or_o else_o put_v it_o forth_o in_o print_n the_o which_o thing_n to_o grant_v as_o i_o can_v not_o for_o i_o have_v not_o write_v it_o so_o i_o tell_v they_o that_o have_v so_o earnest_o desire_v it_o but_o when_o no_o nay_o will_v serve_v but_o i_o must_v promise_v they_o to_o write_v it_o as_o i_o can_v i_o consent_v to_o their_o request_n that_o they_o shall_v have_v it_o at_o my_o leisure_n this_o leisure_n i_o prolong_v so_o long_o that_o as_o i_o ween_v &_o offend_v they_o so_o do_v i_o please_v myself_o as_o one_o more_o glad_a to_o read_v other_o man_n write_n then_o in_o such_o sort_n to_o publish_v my_o own_o for_o other_o man_n to_o read_v not_o that_o i_o will_v other_o not_o to_o profit_v by_o i_o but_o that_o i_o know_v how_o slender_a my_o score_n be_v will_v be_v loath_a for_o the_o enemy_n to_o have_v just_a occasion_n of_o evil_n speak_v and_o wrest_v that_o which_o simple_o be_v speak_v but_o when_o i_o consider_v this_o present_a time_n to_o occasion_n man_n now_o to_o look_v upon_o all-thing_n in_o such_o sort_n as_o may_v move_v they_o to_o godliness_n rather_o than_o to_o any_o curious_a question_n i_o for_o the_o satisfy_n of_o my_o promise_n and_o profit_v of_o the_o simple_a ignorant_a and_o rude_a have_v now_o cause_v this_o sermon_n to_o be_v print_v the_o which_o i_o beseech_v god_n for_o his_o christ_n sake_n to_o salvation_n or_o damnation_n heaven_n or_o hell_n of_o which_o thing_n in_o that_o we_o be_v most_o careless_a and_o very_a fool_n for_o we_o alas_o be_v the_o same_o to_o day_n we_o be_v yesterday_o and_o not_o better_o or_o near_o to_o god_n hut_a rather_o near_o to_o hell_n satan_n and_o perdition_n be_v covetous_a idle_a carnal_a secure_a negligent_a proud_a etc_n etc_n i_o think_v my_o labour_n can_v be_v better_o bestow_v then_o with_o the_o baptist_n christ_n jesus_n and_o his_o apostle_n to_o harp_n on_o this_o string_n which_o of_o all_o other_o be_v most_o necessary_a and_o that_o in_o these_o day_n most_o special_o what_o string_n be_v that_o say_v one_o forsooth_o brother_n the_o string_n of_o repentance_n the_o which_o christ_n our_o saviour_n do_v use_v first_o in_o his_o ministry_n and_o as_o his_o minister_n at_o this_o present_a i_o will_v use_v unto_o you_o all_o repent_v for_o the_o kingdom_n 4._o of_o heaven_n be_v at_o hand_n this_o sentence_n thus_o pronounce_v &_o preach_v by_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n as_o it_o do_v command_v we_o to_o repent_v so_o to_o the_o do_v of_o the_o same_o it_o show_v we_o a_o sufficient_a cause_n to_o stir_v ministry_n of_o preach_v do_v appertain_v can_v be_v partaker_n but_o such_o as_o repent_v &_o do_v penance_n therefore_o dear_o belove_v if_o you_o regard_v the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n in_o that_o you_o can_v enter_v therein_o except_o you_o repent_v i_o beseech_v you_o all_o of_o every_o estate_n as_o you_o will_v your_o own_o weal_n to_o repent_v and_o do_v penance_n the_o which_o thing_n that_o be_v righteousness_n holiness_n innocency_n and_o immortality_n but_o also_o to_o be_v a_o stain_n sacrifice_n for_o our_o sin_n to_o satisfy_v his_o justice_n to_o convert_v or_o turue_a death_n in_o to_o life_n our_o sin_v into_o righteousness_n hell_n into_o heaven_n misery_n into_o felicity_n for_o we_o what_o a_o mercy_n be_v this_o that_o god_n will_v raise_v up_o this_o his_o son_n christ_n not_o only_o to_o justify_v and_o regenerate_v we_o but_o also_o in_o his_o person_n to_o demonstrate_v unto_o we_o our_o state_n which_o we_o shall_v have_v â–ª_o for_o in_o his_o come_n we_o shall_v be_v like_a unto_o he_o oh_o wonderful_a mercy_n of_o god_n which_o will_v assume_v this_o his_o christ_n even_o in_o humane_a body_n into_o the_o heaven_n to_o take_v and_o keep_v their_o possession_n for_o we_o to_o lead_v our_o captivity_n captive_a to_o appear_v before_o he_o always_o pray_v for_o we_o to_o make_v the_o throne_n of_o justice_n a_o throne_n of_o mercy_n the_o seat_n of_o glory_n a_o seat_n of_o grace_n so_o that_o with_o boldness_n we_o may_v come_v and_o appear_v before_o god_n to_o ask_v and_o find_v grace_n in_o time_n convenient_a again_o what_o a_o verity_n and_o constant_a truth_n in_o god_n be_v this_o that_o he_o will_v accord_v to_o his_o promise_n make_v first_o to_o adam_n and_o so_o to_o abraham_n and_o other_o in_o his_o time_n accomplish_v it_o by_o send_v his_o son_n so_o gracious_o who_o will_v doubt_v hereafter_o of_o any_o thing_n that_o he_o have_v promise_v and_o as_o for_o christ_n love_n oh_o who_o heart_n can_v be_v able_a to_o think_v of_o it_o any_o thing_n as_o it_o deserve_v he_o be_v god_n will_v become_v man_n he_o be_v rich_a will_v become_v poor_a he_o be_v lord_n of_o all_o the_o world_n become_v a_o servant_n to_o we_o all_o he_o be_v immortal_a will_v become_v mortal_a miserable_a and_o fast_o of_o all_o god_n curse_n yea_o even_o of_o hell_n it_o seife_z for_o we_o his_o blood_n be_v nothing_o to_o dear_a his_o life_n he_o nothing_o consider_v to_o bring_v we_o from_o death_n to_o life_n but_o this_o his_o love_n need_v more_o hearty_a weigh_v than_o many_o word_n speak_v and_o therefore_o i_o omit_v and_o leave_v it_o to_o your_o consideration_n so_o that_o in_o the_o receive_n of_o this_o supper_n as_o i_o will_v you_o will_v tremble_v at_o god_n wrath_n for_o sin_v so_o will_v i_o have_v you_o to_o couple_n to_o that_o terror_n and_o fear_n true_a faith_n by_o which_o you_o may_v be_v assure_v lie_v persuade_v of_o god_n mercy_n towards_o you_o &_o christ_n love_n though_o all_o thing_n else_o preach_v the_o contrary_n do_v every_o of_o you_o sure_o think_v when_o you_o hear_v these_o word_n take_v eat_v this_o be_v my_o body_n break_v for_o your_o sin_n drink_n this_o be_v my_o blood_n shed_v for_o your_o sin_n that_o god_n the_o eternal_a father_n embrace_v you_o christ_n call_v and_o clep_v you_o most_o love_o make_v himself_o one_o with_o you_o and_o you_o one_o with_o he_o and_o one_o with_o another_o amongst_o yourselves_o you_o ought_v no_o less_o to_o be_v certain_a now_o that_o god_n love_v you_o pardon_v your_o sin_n and_o that_o christ_n be_v all_o you_o then_o if_o you_o do_v hear_v a_o angel_n out_o of_o heaven_n speak_v so_o unto_o you_o and_o therefore_o rejoice_v and_o be_v glad_a and_o make_v this_o supper_n receive_v christ_n as_o he_o give_v we_o hand_n to_o receive_v the_o element_n symbol_n and_o visible_a sacrament_n god_n grant_v we_o not_o to_o prepare_v our_o tooth_n and_o belly_n as_o saint_n augustine_n say_v but_o rather_o of_o his_o mercy_n he_o prepare_v and_o geve_v we_o true_a and_o lyvely_a faith_n to_o use_v this_o and_o all_o other_o his_o ordinance_n to_o his_o glory_n &_o our_o comfort_n he_o sweep_v the_o house_n of_o our_o heart_n &_o make_v they_o clean_o that_o they_o may_v be_v a_o worthy_a harborough_n and_o lodging_n for_o the_o lord_n amen_o now_o let_v we_o come_v and_o look_v on_o institute_v the_o three_o and_o last_o thing_n namely_o wherefore_o the_o lord_n do_v institute_v this_o sacrament_n our_o nature_n be_v very_o oblivious_a of_o god_n and_o of_o all_o his_o benefit_n and_o again_o it_o be_v very_o full_a of_o dubitation_n and_o doubt_v of_o god_n love_n &_o of_o his_o kindness_n therefore_o to_o the_o end_n these_o two_o thing_n may_v be_v talk_n in_o actual_a do_n unhonest_o with_o our_o neighbour_n wife_n daughter_n servant_n etc_n etc_n but_o also_o not_o to_o be_v chaste_a sober_a temperate_a in_o heart_n look_n tongue_n apparel_n deed_n &_o to_o help_v other_o thereunto_o according_o etc_n etc_n in_o god_n law_n we_o see_v it_o be_v a_o foul_a spot_n to_o our_o soul_n not_o only_o in_o heart_n to_o covet_v in_o look_n or_o word_n to_o flatter_v lie_v colour_n etc_n etc_n in_o deed_n to_o take_v away_o any_o thing_n which_o pertain_v to_o another_o but_o also_o in_o heart_n countenance_n word_n &_o deed_n not_o to_o keep_v save_v &_o defend_v that_o which_o pertain_v to_o thy_o neighbour_n as_o thou_o will_v thine_o own_o in_o god_n law_n we_o may_v see_v it_o a_o foul_a spot_n not_o only_o to_o lie_v or_o bear_v
