life_n the_o thief_n be_v repentance_n be_v as_o late_o as_o it_o be_v possible_a that_o of_o the_o most_o loiter_v of_o we_o all_o can_v be_v even_o as_o late_o as_o death_n itself_o yet_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o time_n when_o he_o come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n it_o be_v very_o early_o even_o as_o early_o as_o faith_n begin_v he_o no_o soon_o behold_v the_o glory_n of_o christ_n majesty_n but_o he_o humble_v himself_o under_o the_o sense_n of_o his_o own_o vileness_n so_o soon_o as_o he_o know_v god_n he_o renounce_v the_o world_n and_o in_o a_o penitential_a confession_n that_o there_o be_v nothing_o but_o vanity_n danger_n and_o uncertainty_n in_o a_o future_a repentance_n from_o the_o very_a first_o to_o the_o last_o circumstance_n of_o it_o i_o shall_v far_o make_v appear_v in_o these_o follow_a consideration_n first_o what_o certainty_n can_v there_o be_v in_o that_o which_o depend_v upon_o so_o uncertain_a a_o foundation_n as_o the_o life_n of_o man_n or_o rather_o let_v the_o quaere_fw-la go_v thus_o with_o what_o wisdom_n shall_v any_o man_n depend_v upon_o the_o certainty_n of_o that_o which_o be_v not_o now_o and_o which_o that_o it_o ever_o be_v must_v depend_v upon_o the_o certainty_n of_o our_o time_n to_o come_v in_o this_o world_n which_o may_v never_o be_v who_o as_o we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o add_v one_o cubit_n to_o our_o stature_n the_o only_a comfort_n it_o can_v afford_v we_o in_o this_o life_n be_v to_o refresh_v and_o sweeten_v our_o conscience_n upon_o our_o bed_n of_o sickness_n can_v sickness_n be_v the_o proper_a season_n for_o repentance_n which_o require_v a_o calm_a and_o sedate_v soul_n a_o free_a and_o apprehensive_a understanding_n that_o may_v either_o occasion_n such_o heat_n as_o will_v distract_v
