they_o with_o the_o frequent_a comfort_n of_o his_o promise_n and_o presence_n beside_o converse_v with_o the_o faithful_a and_o establish_v christian_n and_o all_o this_o the_o soon_o if_o they_o do_v propound_v their_o doubt_n and_o by_o ask_v the_o way_n seek_v daily_a derection_n especial_o if_o they_o resign_v over_o their_o soul_n to_o the_o ministry_n of_o some_o faithful_a and_o be_v in_o inclination_n or_o evil_a motion_n before_o it_o come_v to_o that_o high_a degree_n of_o flame_a or_o consent_v and_o it_o be_v well_o call_v evil_a concupiscence_n for_o there_o be_v a_o good_a concupiscence_n both_o natural_a concupiscence_n there_o be_v a_o threefold_a good_a concupiscence_n and_o civil_a and_o spiritual_a natural_a after_o meat_n sleep_n procreation_n etc._n etc._n civil_a which_o be_v a_o ordinate_a desire_n after_o lawful_a profit_n and_o pleasure_n spiritual_a and_o that_o be_v a_o lust_n for_o and_o after_o heavenly_a thing_n and_o so_o the_o spirit_n lust_n against_o the_o flesh_n now_o that_o we_o may_v know_v the_o apostle_n have_v great_a reason_n to_o counsel_v man_n to_o to_o mortify_v evil_a thought_n though_o they_o never_o come_v to_o consent_v these_o reason_n may_v show_v first_o concupiscence_n in_o the_o very_a inclination_n and_o first_o thought_n be_v a_o breeder_n it_o be_v the_o mother_n of_o all_o sort_n of_o wickedness_n if_o it_o be_v not_o betimes_o kill_v in_o the_o conception_n 1.14.15_o jam._n 1.14.15_o the_o apostle_n james_n show_v that_o concupiscence_n will_v be_v quick_o entice_v yea_o it_o will_v entice_v and_o draw_v away_o a_o man_n though_o from_o without_o it_o be_v allure_v with_o no_o object_n and_o when_o it_o have_v draw_v a_o man_n aside_o it_o will_v conceive_v and_o breed_v with_o very_o great_a mercy_n it_o will_v bring_v forth_o bring_v forth_o i_o say_v a_o birth_n of_o some_o notable_a external_a evil_a action_n and_o when_o it_o have_v go_v so_o far_o like_o a_o impudent_a beldame_n it_o will_v egg_n on_o still_o unto_o the_o finish_n of_o sin_n by_o custom_n in_o the_o practice_n and_o so_o indeed_o of_o itself_o it_o will_v never_o leave_v till_o it_o have_v bring_v forth_o as_o a_o second_o birth_n death_n and_o that_o both_o spiritual_a and_o eternal_a death_n and_o sometime_o a_o temporal_a death_n too_o second_o if_o these_o lust_n go_v no_o further_o than_o the_o inward_a man_n yet_o sin_n may_v reign_v even_o in_o these_o there_o may_v be_v a_o world_n of_o wickedness_n in_o a_o man_n though_o he_o never_o speak_v filthy_a word_n or_o commit_v filthy_a action_n there_o be_v a_o converse_v with_o the_o very_a inward_a lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n 2.3_o flesh_n eph._n 2.3_o which_o may_v prove_v a_o man_n to_o be_v mere_o carnal_a and_o without_o grace_n
