saint_n do_v sometime_o fear_v death_n yet_o it_o be_v a_o mistake_n to_o think_v that_o therefore_o they_o be_v wicked_a for_o they_o may_v be_v afraid_a as_o consider_v they_o have_v a_o soul_n to_o save_v while_o the_o wicked_a may_v mock_v at_o death_n and_o step_v laugh_v into_o hell_n and_o godly_a man_n may_v get_v proof_n of_o their_o own_o weakness_n when_o god_n be_v to_o give_v they_o most_o notable_a proof_n of_o his_o grace_n and_o love_n but_o pass_v those_o mistake_n there_o be_v general_a sound_a truth_n here_o also_o as_o it_o relate_v to_o the_o wicked_a and_o 1._o wicked_a man_n may_v have_v their_o own_o confidence_n whereby_o they_o uphold_v their_o heart_n when_o many_o other_o thing_n fail_v they_o for_o so_o be_v here_o suppose_a that_o there_o be_v his_o the_o separation_n by_o death_n sad_a to_o they_o 5._o bitterness_n of_o mind_n be_v the_o sad_a of_o trouble_n as_o here_o it_o be_v instance_a as_o the_o sad_a lot_n of_o some_o of_o the_o wicked_a that_o they_o have_v bitterness_n of_o soul_n 6._o bitterness_n of_o soul_n will_v make_v all_o man_n necessary_a comfort_n and_o refreshment_n of_o body_n bitter_a to_o they_o for_o a_o man_n in_o such_o a_o frame_n even_o never_o eat_v with_o pleasure_n 7._o bitterness_n of_o soul_n just_o follow_v some_o wicked_a man_n not_o at_o some_o fit_v only_o but_o even_o to_o their_o grave_n for_o some_o die_n in_o the_o bitterness_n of_o their_o soul_n only_o unto_o all_o this_o it_o will_v be_v add_v that_o however_o this_o be_v the_o just_a lot_n of_o the_o wicked_a yet_o the_o godly_a may_v have_v some_o taste_n of_o this_o soul-bitterness_n as_o job_n own_o experience_n to_o name_n no_o other_o do_v teach_v chap._n 3.20_o 24._o and_o therefore_o 1._o we_o shall_v beware_v of_o pride_n and_o murmur_a which_o do_v embitter_v we_o we_o shall_v beware_v of_o feed_v or_o entertain_v our_o bitter_a humour_n or_o of_o provoke_v god_n by_o our_o dote_n upon_o time_n to_o embitter_v it_o and_o the_o rest_n of_o these_o evidence_n and_o argument_n prove_v that_o he_o be_v not_o a_o hypocrite_n they_o be_v thus_o to_o be_v understand_v that_o where_o those_o evidence_n be_v contrary_a to_o these_o character_n of_o the_o hypocrite_n they_o do_v infallible_o conclude_v a_o man_n not_o to_o be_v a_o hypocrite_n yet_o if_o some_o weak_a seeker_n of_o god_n find_v those_o want_v in_o some_o of_o their_o measure_n and_o degree_n and_o at_o some_o time_n it_o shall_v be_v remember_v that_o every_o real_a saint_n be_v not_o a_o job_n nor_o can_v produce_v such_o eminent_a work_n of_o grace_n and_o sincerity_n as_o he_o have_v nor_o wâ—ll_n real_a saint_n be_v measure_v by_o their_o infirmity_n or_o sit_v of_o weakness_n not_o by_o the_o emanation_n of_o their_o flesh_n if_o they_o renounce_v and_o mourn_v for_o they_o as_o on_o the_o contrary_a hypocrite_n will_v not_o be_v judge_v by_o that_o stupidity_n which_o they_o may_v have_v in_o trouble_n instead_o of_o faith_n and_o free_a of_o both_o and_o have_v purge_v himself_o of_o wickedness_n v._o 7._o he_o now_o come_v to_o purge_v himself_o of_o hypocrisy_n yea_o the_o name_n here_o give_v to_o the_o hypocrite_n signify_v also_o one_o that_o be_v profane_a to_o show_v that_o god_n look_v upon_o every_o hypocrite_n as_o such_o a_o one_o however_o he_o mask_v his_o wickedness_n 2._o hypocrisy_n and_o covetousness_n of_o love_v of_o gain_n be_v evil_n which_o frequent_o concur_v and_o go_v together_o for_o the_o hypocrite_n here_o be_v he_o that_o have_v gain_v not_o that_o every_o covetous_a wretch_n put_v on_o a_o mask_n of_o profession_n but_o that_o hypocrite_n make_v use_v of_o a_o cloak_n of_o religion_n only_o for_o their_o own_o advantage_n see_v matth._n 23.14_o 1_o tim._n 6.5_o 3._o god_n may_v let_v the_o covetous_a design_n of_o hypocrite_n succeed_v in_o their_o hand_n and_o so_o answer_v they_o according_a to_o the_o idol_n of_o their_o heart_n whereas_o he_o will_v famish_v these_o idol_n if_o godly_a man_n hanker_v after_o they_o for_o it_o be_v suppose_v here_o of_o the_o hypocrite_n that_o he_o have_v gain_v 4._o much_o of_o man_n contentment_n especial_o of_o godly_a man_n or_o these_o who_o pretend_v to_o godliness_n depend_v upon_o their_o hope_n for_o here_o hope_n be_v suppose_v so_o necessary_a to_o the_o son_n of_o man_n their_o present_a enjoyment_n be_v so_o empty_a especial_o to_o godly_a man_n that_o even_o hypocrite_n pretend_v to_o the_o hope_n of_o godly_a man_n as_o they_o pretend_v to_o their_o piety_n see_v 1_o cor._n 15.19_o 5._o the_o hypocrite_n may_v be_v so_o bolster_v up_o with_o prosperity_n that_o he_o may_v live_v in_o a_o presumptuous_a dream_n of_o hope_n even_o till_o his_o death_n which_o be_v a_o sad_a
