after_o he_o say_v it_o be_v good_a i_o depart_v for_o otherways_o you_o shall_v not_o get_v the_o comforter_n so_o i_o say_v the_o spirit_n have_v great_a force_n now_o than_o he_o have_v then_o because_o the_o lord_n be_v in_o his_o full_a glory_n in_o the_o heaven_n brethren_n all_o this_o consolation_n we_o have_v by_o the_o holy_a spirit_n now_o shall_v be_v nothing_o in_o comparison_n experience_n tell_v we_o that_o all_o the_o sense_n of_o love_n that_o be_v in_o the_o father_n be_v all_o through_o the_o son_n never_o man_n yet_o get_v a_o sight_n or_o sense_n of_o the_o love_n of_o the_o father_n but_o by_o the_o son_n he_o who_o never_o see_v the_o lord_n jesus_n see_v never_o the_o love_n of_o god_n because_o he_o be_v the_o splendour_n of_o his_o glory_n and_o the_o image_n of_o the_o invisible_a god_n the_o jew_n may_v strive_v to_o see_v the_o father_n but_o never_o shall_v they_o see_v he_o till_o they_o turn_v they_o to_o the_o son_n what_o man_n be_v he_o that_o ever_o feel_v the_o love_n of_o god_n without_o christ_n and_o what_o dough_n a_o sinner_n without_o a_o sense_n of_o love_n and_o mercy_n look_v if_o it_o will_v not_o pass_v thy_o power_n to_o have_v any_o sense_n of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n without_o jesus_n christ_n but_o when_o the_o heart_n be_v draw_v to_o look_v to_o he_o by_o faith_n in_o christ_n than_o thou_o shall_v get_v give_v some_o to_o be_v his_o apostle_n some_o to_o be_v evangelist_n some_o to_o be_v pastor_n and_o some_o to_o be_v doctor_n the_o ground_n of_o all_o be_v this_o the_o father_n have_v give_v all_o power_n in_o heaven_n and_o in_o earth_n to_o the_o son_n thou_o shall_v understand_v this_o well_o what_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n he_o be_v the_o treasure-house_n of_o all_o the_o grace_n and_o or_o no_o and_o if_o he_o find_v that_o he_o be_v separate_v from_o the_o world_n then_o with_o the_o better_a conscience_n he_o may_v speak_v of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o then_o he_o may_v put_v out_o his_o hand_n to_o miserable_a man_n and_o draw_v they_o piece_n and_o piece_n out_o of_o this_o sinful_a world_n otherways_o he_o can_v have_v no_o boldness_n now_o let_v we_o come_v to_o the_o second_o argument_n the_o second_o argument_n which_o he_o use_v be_v from_o the_o end_n of_o his_o sanctification_n for_o their_o sake_n i_o have_v sanctify_v myself_o to_o what_o end_n that_o they_o may_v be_v sanctify_v through_o thy_o truth_n i_o have_v sanctify_v myself_o that_o be_v i_o have_v consecrate_v myself_o to_o the_o death_n to_o be_v a_o sacrifice_n that_o by_o my_o death_n and_o through_o it_o they_o shall_v be_v make_v holy_a and_o that_o by_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o cross_n the_o ground_n of_o all_o our_o sanctification_n be_v the_o cross_n and_o death_n of_o jesus_n christ_n it_o be_v that_o blood_n and_o that_o sacrifice_n that_o make_v we_o holy_a and_o which_o be_v that_o meritorious_a cause_n that_o have_v procure_v holiness_n to_o every_o one_o of_o us._n well_o brethren_n as_o little_a as_o man_n will_v count_v of_o holiness_n our_o holiness_n be_v dear_a buy_v there_o be_v not_o one_o that_o have_v a_o sponke_n of_o holiness_n little_a or_o much_o but_o it_o must_v sanctify_v and_o separate_v thou_o from_o the_o world_n and_o make_v thou_o a_o heir_n of_o life_n look_v how_o you_o shall_v have_v a_o sight_n of_o the_o cross_n of_o christ_n think_v it_o not_o enough_o that_o christ_n suffer_v and_o die_v for_o sinner_n except_o when_o thou_o hear_v this_o word_n of_o the_o cross_n thy_o heart_n griedilie_o gripe_v and_o draw_v christ_n in_o to_o thyself_o and_o this_o aye_o shall_v be_v our_o exercise_n in_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o word_n of_o the_o cross_n of_o jesus_n christ_n to_o get_v such_o a_o solid_a apprehension_n of_o the_o cross_n that_o thou_o may_v say_v the_o lord_n jesus_n die_v for_o i_o the_o great_a sinner_n in_o the_o world_n look_v that_o thou_o find_v the_o effect_n and_o fruit_n to_o flow_v of_o that_o cross_n to_o the_o sanctification_n of_o thy_o soul_n &_o mortification_n &_o slaughter_n of_o thy_o sinful_a nature_n day_n &_o night_n so_o hear_v not_o with_o the_o ear_n only_o but_o with_o the_o apprehension_n of_o the_o heart_n or_o else_o that_o cross_n shall_v never_o be_v effectual_a to_o save_v thou_o but_o for_o all_o this_o benefit_n of_o the_o word_n of_o the_o cross_n of_o jesus_n christ_n everlasting_a death_n and_o damnation_n shall_v be_v thy_o end_n be_v not_o secure_a in_o hear_v but_o draw_v in_o to_o thyself_o jesus_n christ_n and_o there_o shall_v follow_v such_o a_o a_o band_n of_o love_n if_o thou_o be_v not_o unite_v by_o that_o band_n with_o the_o member_n look_v for_o nothing_o but_o death_n then_o he_o set_v down_o the_o ground_n of_o our_o conjunction_n the_o head_n if_o thou_o be_v not_o join_v with_o the_o head_n the_o lord_n jesus_n by_o faith_n thou_o can_v not_o dwell_v with_o thy_o neighbour_n in_o love_n and_o charity_n he_o who_o be_v join_v with_o the_o church_fw-mi he_o must_v first_o be_v join_v with_o christ_n he_o come_v to_o the_o argument_n of_o this_o conjunction_n and_o the_o first_o be_v from_o the_o end_n which_o be_v this_o wicked_a man_n but_o to_o have_v come_v down_o from_o the_o father_n and_o to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n then_o brethren_n there_o be_v not_o a_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n no_o not_o a_o effect_n in_o the_o world_n where_o in_o that_o virtue_n of_o jesus_n christ_n appear_v more_o than_o in_o this_o conjunction_n of_o the_o member_n of_o the_o church_fw-mi in_o the_o earth_n so_o will_v thou_o show_v before_o the_o world_n that_o jesus_n be_v god_n equal_a with_o the_o father_n be_v at_o one_o with_o thy_o neighbour_n will_v thou_o glorify_v jesus_n christ_n and_o profess_v he_o before_o the_o world_n and_o honour_v he_o live_v in_o peace_n unity_n and_o concord_n will_v thou_o dishonour_v he_o and_o shame_v he_o before_o the_o world_n be_v at_o variance_n have_v no_o peace_n and_o no_o love_n if_o thou_o will_v set_v thyself_o to_o make_v the_o world_n think_v that_o jesus_n christ_n be_v not_o one_o with_o the_o father_n have_v no_o peace_n with_o thy_o neighbour_n this_o conjunction_n and_o make_v up_o of_o one_o body_n be_v no_o small_a effect_n of_o the_o virtue_n of_o jesus_n christ_n there_o be_v no_o power_n in_o heaven_n nor_o in_o earth_n but_o this_o power_n of_o god_n that_o will_v make_v up_o that_o band_n all_o the_o king_n in_o the_o earth_n will_v not_o make_v thou_o love_v thy_o neighbour_n true_o no_o power_n can_v make_v thou_o love_v thy_o wife_n true_o no_o not_o thy_o child_n but_o only_o that_o power_n that_o flow_v from_o jesus_n christ_n the_o infinite_a power_n of_o that_o godhead_n which_o flow_v from_o he_o to_o thy_o soul_n be_v able_a to_o turn_v thy_o hatred_n into_o love_n and_o to_o sanctify_v thou_o so_o will_v thou_o glorify_v christ_n in_o this_o world_n and_o live_v in_o this_o world_n to_o the_o glory_n of_o he_o
