and_o examine_v themselves_o by_o it_o or_o through_o apprehension_n that_o god_n mercy_n reveal_v in_o his_o word_n will_v pardon_v they_o not_o consider_v that_o all_o his_o special_a mercy_n in_o pardon_v and_o save_v be_v through_o christ_n not_o consider_v that_o god_n be_v infinite_o just_a and_o righteous_a as_o well_o as_o merciful_a and_o that_o there_o be_v no_o room_n for_o the_o exercise_n of_o mercy_n towards_o sinner_n until_o justice_n be_v satisfy_v that_o god_n justice_n require_v a_o perfect_a righteousness_n otherwise_o there_o can_v be_v a_o perfect_a justification_n that_o there_o must_v be_v full_a satisfaction_n to_o god_n justice_n for_o the_o breach_n of_o god_n law_n otherwise_o there_o can_v be_v no_o clear_a remission_n and_o that_o there_o must_v be_v perfect_a righteousness_n make_v out_o some_o way_n otherwise_o we_o can_v be_v accept_v by_o god_n as_o righteous_a since_o therefore_o this_o satisfaction_n to_o god_n justice_n can_v be_v by_o ourselves_o because_o be_v finite_a we_o can_v make_v a_o infinite_a compensation_n which_o infinite_a justice_n do_v require_v and_o since_o perfect_a righteousness_n which_o must_v include_v both_o original_a and_o actual_a can_v be_v in_o we_o who_o be_v guilty_a both_o of_o original_n and_o actual_a sin_n and_o the_o least_o sin_n render_v for_o ever_o a_o personal_a perfect_a righteousness_n their_o own_o righteousness_n have_v not_o submit_v themselves_o to_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n for_o christ_n be_v the_o end_n of_o the_o law_n for_o righteouness_n unto_o every_o one_o that_o believe_v and_o as_o it_o be_v with_o the_o jew_n of_o old_a so_o it_o be_v with_o many_o nominal_a christian_n now_o who_o may_v be_v lead_v only_o by_o a_o blind_a zeal_n to_o work_v out_o their_o own_o salvation_n in_o a_o way_n of_o do_v and_o it_o be_v through_o their_o ignorance_n of_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n call_v here_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n either_o because_o it_o be_v the_o righteousness_n alone_o which_o god_n will_v accept_v or_o which_o god_n have_v find_v out_o and_o provide_v for_o man_n which_o sense_n it_o must_v have_v rom._n 3._o 21._o 22._o but_o now_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n without_o the_o law_n be_v manifest_a even_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n which_o be_v by_o faith_n in_o jesus_n christ_n etc._n etc._n that_o be_v the_o righteousness_n which_o god_n do_v accept_v and_o have_v appoint_v for_o our_o justification_n or_o it_o be_v call_v the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n because_o it_o be_v the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n who_o be_v god-man_n no_o other_o righteousness_n than_o of_o such_o a_o person_n be_v sufficient_a for_o man_n in_o his_o fall_a estate_n i_o say_v through_o the_o ignorance_n of_o this_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n many_o christian_n seek_v after_o a_o righteousness_n in_o order_n to_o their_o salvation_n they_o go_v about_o to_o establish_v their_o own_o righteousness_n that_o be_v a_o personal_a righteousness_n and_o endeavour_v the_o gain_n of_o heaven_n in_o a_o way_n of_o do_v and_o so_o do_v not_o submit_v themselves_o to_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n it_o be_v through_o pride_n so_o natural_a unto_o every_o one_o that_o they_o be_v loath_a to_o be_v behold_v whole_o unto_o another_o and_o therefore_o they_o will_v have_v something_o of_o their_o own_o to_o commend_v they_o unto_o god_n and_o therefore_o they_o do_v not_o submit_v unto_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n which_o god_n have_v provide_v for_o they_o therefore_o you_o must_v labour_v to_o be_v clear_a in_o your_o understanding_n what_o this_o righreousness_n of_o christ_n be_v there_o be_v two_o thing_n requisite_a and_o absolute_o necessary_a unto_o fall_v man_n the_o first_o be_v satisfaction_n unto_o god_n justice_n for_o his_o sin_n and_o without_o this_o there_o can_v be_v no_o escape_n of_o eternal_a death_n and_o misery_n because_o guilt_n do_v oblige_v unto_o punishment_n
