hell_n and_o satan_n his_o work_n than_o which_o he_o have_v stir_v up_o will_v quail_v god_n will_v restore_v we_o politic_a peace_n right_o shall_v be_v right_a and_o have_v right_a god_n gospel_n shall_v tarry_v with_o we_o religion_n shall_v be_v cherish_v superstition_n suppress_v and_o so_o we_o yet_o something_o happy_a notwithstanding_o the_o great_a loss_n of_o our_o most_o gracious_a summer_n as_o i_o be_v abroad_o preach_v in_o the_o country_n my_o chance_n be_v to_o make_v a_o sermon_n of_o repentance_n the_o which_o be_v earnest_o of_o diverse_a desire_a of_o i_o that_o i_o shall_v geve_v it_o they_o write_v or_o else_o put_v it_o forth_o in_o print_n the_o which_o thing_n to_o grant_v as_o i_o can_v not_o for_o i_o have_v not_o write_v it_o so_o i_o tell_v they_o that_o have_v so_o earnest_o desire_v it_o but_o when_o no_o nay_o will_v serve_v but_o i_o must_v promise_v they_o to_o write_v it_o as_o i_o can_v i_o consent_v to_o their_o request_n that_o they_o shall_v have_v it_o at_o my_o leisure_n this_o leisure_n i_o prolong_v so_o long_o that_o as_o i_o ween_v &_o offend_v they_o so_o do_v i_o please_v myself_o as_o one_o more_o glad_a to_o read_v other_o man_n write_n then_o in_o such_o sort_n to_o publish_v my_o own_o for_o other_o man_n to_o read_v not_o that_o i_o will_v other_o not_o to_o profit_v by_o i_o but_o that_o i_o know_v how_o slender_a my_o score_n be_v will_v be_v loath_a for_o the_o enemy_n to_o have_v just_a occasion_n of_o evil_n speak_v and_o wrest_v that_o which_o simple_o be_v speak_v but_o when_o i_o consider_v this_o present_a time_n to_o occasion_n man_n now_o to_o look_v upon_o all-thing_n in_o such_o sort_n as_o may_v move_v they_o to_o godliness_n rather_o than_o to_o any_o curious_a question_n i_o for_o the_o satisfy_n of_o my_o promise_n and_o profit_v of_o the_o simple_a ignorant_a and_o rude_a have_v now_o cause_v this_o sermon_n to_o be_v print_v the_o which_o i_o beseech_v god_n for_o his_o christ_n sake_n to_o and_o not_o better_o or_o near_o to_o god_n hut_a rather_o near_o to_o hell_n satan_n and_o perdition_n be_v covetous_a idle_a carnal_a secure_a negligent_a proud_a etc_n etc_n i_o think_v my_o labour_n can_v be_v better_o bestow_v then_o with_o the_o baptist_n christ_n jesus_n and_o his_o apostle_n to_o harp_n on_o this_o string_n which_o of_o all_o other_o be_v most_o necessary_a and_o that_o in_o these_o day_n most_o special_o what_o string_n be_v that_o say_v one_o forsooth_o brother_n the_o string_n of_o repentance_n the_o which_o christ_n our_o saviour_n do_v use_v first_o in_o his_o ministry_n and_o as_o his_o minister_n at_o this_o present_a i_o will_v use_v unto_o you_o all_o repent_v for_o the_o kingdom_n 4._o of_o heaven_n be_v at_o hand_n this_o sentence_n thus_o pronounce_v &_o preach_v by_o our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n as_o it_o do_v command_v we_o to_o repent_v so_o to_o the_o do_v of_o the_o same_o it_o show_v we_o a_o sufficient_a cause_n to_o stir_v they_o have_v make_v satisfaction_n for_o restitution_n to_o manward_n of_o such_o good_n as_o wrongful_o be_v get_v the_o which_o true_a penance_n can_v be_v with_o out_o or_o if_o by_o satisfaction_n they_o have_v mean_v a_o new_a life_n to_o make_v amends_n to_o the_o congregation_n thereby_o as_o by_o their_o evil_n life_n they_o do_v offend_v the_o congregation_n in_o which_o sense_n the_o apostle_n seem_v to_o take_v that_o which_o he_o write_v in_o 2._o corin._n 7._o where_o the_o old_a interpreter_n call_v apologian_n satisfaction_n which_o rather_o signify_v a_o defence_n or_o answer_v again_o if_o i_o say_v they_o have_v take_v satisfaction_n any_o of_o these_o way_n than_o they_o have_v do_v well_o so_o that_o the_o satisfaction_n to_o god_n have_v be_v leave_v all_o only_a to_o christ_n again_o if_o they_o have_v make_v confession_n either_o for_o that_o which_o be_v to_o god_n private_a either_o for_o that_o which_o be_v to_o the_o congregation_n public_o either_o for_o that_o which_o be_v a_o free_a consolation_n with_o some_o one_o learned_a in_o god_n book_n &_o appoint_v thereunto_o as_o first_o it_o be_v use_v and_o i_o wish_v be_v now_o use_v amongst_o we_o either_o for_o that_o which_o be_v a_o reconciliation_n of_o one_o to_o another_o it_o have_v be_v something_o yea_o if_o they_o have_v make_v it_o for_o faith_n because_o it_o for_o the_o reformation_n and_o help_n of_o our_o oblivion_n of_o that_o which_o we_o shall_v never_o forget_v and_o of_o our_o dubitation_n of_o that_o whereof_o we_o ought_v to_o be_v most_o that_o we_o shall_v ve_fw-la certain_o of_o the_o remission_n &_o pardon_n of_o our_o sin_n the_o which_o thing_n we_o may_v also_o perceive_v by_o the_o cup_n in_o that_o it_o be_v call_v the_o cup_n institute_v to_o this_o end_n that_o he_o which_o worthy_o receive_v shall_v be_v certain_a of_o the_o remission_n &_o pardon_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o iniquity_n how_o many_o and_o great_a soever_o
