according_a to_o law_n and_o the_o say_v humble_a petition_n and_o advice_n with_o all_o hearty_a and_o humble_a affection_n beseech_v the_o lord_n by_o who_o prince_n rule_n to_o bless_v he_o with_o long_a life_n and_o these_o nation_n with_o peace_n and_o happiness_n under_o his_o government_n this_o proclamation_n be_v sign_v by_o the_o lord_n mayor_n of_o london_n the_o member_n of_o the_o privy_a counsel_n and_o most_o of_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o army_n and_o be_v afterward_o proclaim_v in_o the_o palace-yard_n westminster_n at_o cheapside_n the_o royal-exchange_n in_o cornhill_n and_o so_o in_o order_n throughout_o all_o the_o dominion_n of_o england_n scotland_n and_o ireland_n proclamation_n be_v thus_o make_v the_o lord_n mayor_n and_o court_n of_o alderman_n in_o their_o formality_n come_v in_o the_o afternoon_n to_o condole_v the_o death_n of_o his_o late_a highness_n to_o congratulate_v his_o highness_n advancement_n to_o the_o protectorship_n and_o to_o surrender_v up_o into_o his_o hand_n the_o sword_n of_o the_o city_n they_o be_v receive_v with_o the_o accustom_a ceremony_n and_o the_o lord_n mayor_n have_v deliver_v up_o his_o sword_n receive_v it_o again_o from_o his_o highness_n hand_n and_o after_o some_o other_o ceremony_n perform_v as_o usual_a and_o dr_n goodwin_n have_v pray_v for_o a_o blessing_n upon_o his_o highness_n person_n his_o government_n his_o force_n by_o sea_n and_o land_n and_o upon_o all_o the_o people_n of_o these_o nation_n nathaniel_n fines_n one_o of_o the_o lord_n commissioner_n of_o the_o great_a seal_n and_o one_o of_o his_o highness_n privy_a counsel_n administer_v the_o same_o oath_n to_o his_o highness_n which_o have_v be_v former_o administer_v to_o his_o father_n upon_o his_o instalment_n after_o the_o oath_n administer_v his_o highness_n first_o address_v himself_o to_o the_o lord_n mayor_n and_o alderman_n thank_v they_o for_o they_o and_o the_o city_n fidelity_n and_o good_a affection_n towards_o he_o and_o then_o have_v return_v the_o like_a thanks_o to_o the_o address_n of_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o army_n he_o dismiss_v they_o and_o then_o pass_v a_o proclamation_n for_o continuance_n of_o all_o such_o as_o be_v in_o any_o office_n of_o government_n at_o his_o father_n death_n till_o further_a direction_n from_o his_o highness_n the_o six_o of_o september_n by_o his_o highness_n order_n the_o imbargo_n make_v upon_o his_o father_n death_n on_o all_o ship_n and_o vessel_n in_o the_o port_n of_o england_n and_o wales_n be_v take_v off_o and_o sr_n oliver_n fleming_n master_n of_o the_o ceremony_n be_v order_v to_o acquaint_v the_o minister_n of_o all_o foreign_a prince_n of_o the_o death_n of_o oliver_n lord_n protector_n and_o that_o both_o that_o title_n and_o the_o government_n of_o these_o three_o nation_n be_v devolve_v and_o establish_v on_o his_o elder_a son_n richard_n cromwell_n the_o lord_n newport_n who_o be_v come_v over_o as_o ambassador_n extraordinary_a from_o the_o state_n of_o holland_n to_o the_o protector_n father_n but_o first_o by_o reason_n of_o his_o indisposedness_n be_v retard_v his_o audience_n and_o afterward_o by_o reason_n of_o his_o death_n his_o ambassage_n prove_v ineffectual_a he_o have_v receive_v new_a letter_n from_o his_o master_n order_v he_o to_o condole_v his_o late_a highness_n death_n and_o compliment_v his_o present_a highness_n for_o his_o advancement_n to_o the_o government_n hope_v that_o the_o same_o firm_a league_n and_o peace_n may_v be_v continue_v between_o his_o highness_n and_o those_o state_n as_o have_v be_v between_o they_o and_o his_o princely_a father_n deliver_v his_o message_n in_o a_o public_a audience_n before_o his_o highness_n and_o receive_v a_o answer_n conformable_a to_o his_o desire_n several_a address_n protest_v both_o love_n and_o obedience_n to_o his_o highness_n be_v present_v both_o by_o the_o army_n city_n of_o london_n and_o most_o of_o the_o country_n the_o whole_a nation_n be_v seem_o content_a and_o satisfy_v with_o his_o advancement_n to_o the_o government_n of_o these_o kingdom_n nor_o be_v the_o officer_n of_o the_o army_n even_o those_o who_o afterward_o show_v themselves_o most_o active_a in_o deprive_v he_o of_o his_o government_n backward_o but_o every_o particular_a regiment_n give_v in_o their_o address_n condole_v his_o father_n death_n and_o protest_v their_o willingness_n nay_o joy_n in_o become_v obedient_a to_o he_o but_o among_o all_o those_o address_n i_o can_v omit_v one_o passage_n in_o that_o present_v by_o major_a general_n john_n disborow_n and_o his_o regiment_n in_o which_o condole_v his_o father_n death_n they_o add_v thus_o viz._n your_o highness_n your_o army_n and_o people_n reap_v the_o benefit_n of_o his_o prayer_n and_o success_n but_o alas_o this_o our_o moses_n your_o dear_a and_o bless_a father_n the_o servant_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v dead_a and_o shall_v we_o not_o weep_v though_o we_o weep_v not_o for_o he_o we_o can_v but_o weep_v for_o ourselves_o we_o can_v but_o look_v after_o he_o crying_z our_o father_n our_o father_n the_o chariot_n of_o israel_n and_o the_o horseman_n thereof_o the_o fiery_a chariot_n indeed_o of_o england_n who_o fury_n and_o ambition_n have_v set_v the_o whole_a nation_n in_o flame_n and_o combustion_n nor_o be_v the_o rest_n of_o those_o foreign_a minister_n which_o be_v then_o in_o england_n viz._n the_o ambassador_n of_o france_n and_o sweden_n and_o portugal_n the_o agent_n for_o the_o hans-town_n florence_n venice_n and_o be_v maintain_v and_o grant_v by_o he_o to_o which_o the_o lord_n protector_n return_v answer_v that_o there_o can_v not_o be_v any_o great_a argument_n use_v for_o his_o continuance_n offriendship_n with_o any_o kingdom_n or_o commonwealth_n then_o by_o tell_v he_o that_o his_o father_n have_v contract_v it_o nor_o be_v scotland_n or_o ireland_n less_o compliant_a to_o his_o desire_n than_o england_n have_v be_v they_o thence_o send_v their_o address_n and_o promise_n of_o obedience_n so_o that_o his_o government_n seem_v every_o where_o to_o begin_v with_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o serenity_n and_o fair_a promise_n of_o a_o long_a continuance_n in_o scotland_n likewise_o general_n monk_n who_o continue_v vicegerent_n there_o publish_v a_o declaration_n for_o the_o better_a
