they_o be_v guilty_a of_o death_n for_o that_o sin_n and_o that_o there_o be_v no_o way_n but_o by_o christ_n to_o obtain_v deliverance_n but_o because_o all_o this_o must_v be_v acknowledge_v by_o the_o righteous_a themselves_o as_o well_o as_o by_o the_o wicked_a therefore_o christ_n do_v not_o mention_v this_o but_o that_o only_o which_o be_v the_o turn_a point_n or_o cause_n in_o the_o judgement_n for_o it_o be_v not_o all_o sinner_n that_o shall_v be_v final_o condemn_v but_o all_o impenitent_a unbelieving_a sinner_n who_o have_v rebel_v final_o against_o their_o redeemer_n 2._o or_o almost_o all_o do_v believe_v it_o even_o those_o nation_n where_o the_o gospel_n never_o come_v and_o have_v nothing_o but_o what_o they_o have_v by_o nature_n even_o the_o most_o barbarous_a indian_n acknowledge_v some_o life_n after_o this_o and_o a_o difference_n of_o man_n according_a as_o they_o be_v here_o therefore_o you_o must_v believe_v thus_o much_o or_o renounce_v your_o common_a reason_n and_o humanity_n as_o well_o as_o your_o christianity_n let_v i_o therefore_o persuade_v you_o all_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n to_o confirm_v your_o soul_n in_o the_o belief_n will_v or_o not_o a_o poor_a despair_a soul_n can_v forget_v it_o he_o think_v which_o way_n ever_o he_o go_v he_o be_v ready_a to_o be_v judge_v oh_o therefore_o belove_v fix_v these_o thought_n as_o talk_v and_o begin_v to_o make_v nothing_o of_o it_o this_o be_v their_o thanks_o to_o god_n for_o his_o patience_n because_o his_o sentence_n be_v not_o execute_v speedy_o therefore_o their_o heart_n to_o stand_v before_o his_o maker_n and_o redeemer_n to_o be_v judge_v to_o everlasting_a joy_n or_o torment_n alas_o all_o the_o matter_n of_o this_o world_n be_v play_n and_o toy_n and_o dream_n they_o do_v at_o first_o excuse_v it_o he_o will_v leave_v they_o speechless_a yea_o and_o condemn_v themselves_o before_o they_o have_v do_v oh_o what_o a_o difference_n between_o their_o language_n now_o and_o then_o now_o we_o can_v tell_v they_o of_o their_o sin_n and_o misery_n but_o they_o either_o tell_v we_o of_o our_o own_o fault_n or_o bid_v we_o look_v to_o ourselves_o or_o deny_v or_o all_o we_o let_v they_o know_v the_o deceitfulness_n of_o their_o heart_n and_o the_o need_n of_o a_o close_a and_o faithful_a examination_n but_o they_o will_v not_o bestow_v a_o hour_n in_o such_o man_n will_v not_o hear_v and_o there_o be_v no_o remedy_n who_o can_v help_v it_o christ_n himself_o come_v not_o into_o the_o world_n to_o condemn_v man_n but_o to_o save_v they_o and_o yet_o he_o will_v condemn_v those_o that_o will_v not_o yield_v to_o his_o save_a work_n â—od_n take_v no_o pleasure_n in_o the_o death_n of_o a_o sinner_n but_o rather_o that_o he_o repent_v and_o return_v here_o the_o seven_o and_o twenty_o excuse_n god_n may_v have_v hinder_v my_o sin_n and_o damnation_n if_o he_o will_v answ._n and_o will_v you_o wilful_o sin_n and_o think_v to_o escape_v because_o according_a to_o that_o word_n will_v the_o judgement_n pass_v the_o three_o direction_n see_v that_o you_o take_v it_o as_o the_o very_a business_n of_o your_o life_n to_o make_v ready_a for_o that_o day_n understand_v that_o you_o have_v no_o other_o business_n in_o this_o world_n but_o what_o do_v necessary_o depend_v on_o this_o what_o else_o have_v you_o to_o do_v but_o to_o provide_v for_o everlasting_a and_o to_o use_v mean_n to_o sustain_v your_o own_o body_n and_o other_o of_o purpose_n for_o this_o work_n till_o it_o be_v happy_o do_v live_v therefore_o as_o man_n that_o make_v this_o the_o main_a scope_n and_o care_n of_o their_o life_n and_o let_v all_o thing_n else_o come_v in_o but_o on_o the_o by_o remember_v every_o morning_n when_o you_o awake_v that_o you_o must_v spend_v that_o day_n in_o preparation_n for_o your_o account_n and_o that_o god_n do_v give_v it_o you_o for_o that_o end_n when_o you_o go_v to_o bed_n examine_v your_o heart_n what_o you_o have_v do_v that_o day_n in_o preparation_n for_o your_o last_o day_n and_o take_v that_o time_n as_o lose_v which_o do_v nothing_o to_o this_o end_n the_o four_o direction_n use_v frequent_o to_o think_v of_o the_o certainty_n nearness_n and_o dreadfulness_n of_o that_o day_n to_o keep_v life_n in_o your_o affection_n and_o endeavour_n lest_o by_o inconsiderateness_n your_o soul_n grow_v stupid_a and_o negligent_a otherwise_o because_o it_o be_v out_o of_o sight_n the_o heart_n will_v be_v apt_a to_o grow_v harden_v and_o secure_a and_o do_v not_o think_v of_o it_o slight_o as_o a_o common_a thing_n but_o purposely_o set_v yourselves_o to_o think_v of_o it_o that_o it_o may_v rouse_v you_o up_o to_o such_o affection_n and_o endeavour_n as_o in_o some_o measure_n be_v answerable_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o thing_n the_o five_o direction_n labour_n to_o have_v a_o lively_a feeling_n on_o thy_o heart_n of_o the_o evil_a and_o weight_n of_o that_o sin_n which_o thou_o be_v guilty_a of_o and_o of_o the_o misery_n into_o which_o it_o have_v bring_v thou_o and_o will_v further_o bring_v thou_o if_o thou_o be_v not_o deliver_v and_o so_o to_o feel_v the_o need_n of_o a_o deliverer_n this_o must_v prepare_v thou_o to_o partake_v of_o christ_n now_o and_o if_o thou_o partake_v not_o of_o he_o now_o thou_o can_v not_o be_v save_v by_o he_o then_o it_o be_v these_o soul_n that_o now_o make_v light_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o misery_n that_o must_v then_o feel_v they_o so_o heavy_a as_o to_o be_v press_v by_o they_o into_o the_o infernal_a flame_n and_o those_o that_o now_o feel_v little_a need_n of_o a_o saviour_n they_o shall_v then_o have_v none_o to_o save_v they_o when_o they_o feel_v their_o need_n the_o six_o direction_n understand_v and_o believe_v the_o sufficiency_n of_o that_o ransom_n and_o satisfaction_n to_o justice_n which_o christ_n have_v make_v for_o thy_o sin_n and_o for_o the_o world_n and_o how_o free_o and_o universal_o it_o be_v offer_v in_o the_o gospel_n thy_o sin_n be_v not_o uncurable_a or_o unpardonable_a nor_o thy_o misery_n remediless_a god_n have_v provide_v a_o remedy_n in_o his_o son_n christ_n and_o bring_v it_o so_o perseverance_n before_o they_o shall_v be_v glorify_v the_o eight_o direction_n rest_v not_o therefore_o in_o a_o unrenewed_a unsanctified_a state_n that_o be_v till_o this_o faith_n and_o satan_n which_o will_v not_o be_v end_v till_o thy_o life_n do_v end_n if_o any_o thing_n destroy_v thou_o by_o draw_v away_o thy_o heart_n from_o god_n it_o will_v be_v thy_o carnal_a self_n thy_o fleshly_a desire_n and_o the_o allurement_n of_o this_o world_n which_o be_v the_o matter_n that_o they_o feed_v upon_o this_o therefore_o must_v be_v the_o earnest_a work_n of_o thy_o life_n to_o subdue_v this_o flesh_n and_o set_a light_n by_o this_o world_n and_o resist_v the_o devil_n that_o by_o these_o will_v destroy_v thou_o it_o be_v the_o common_a case_n of_o miserable_a hypocrite_n that_o at_o first_o they_o list_v themselves_o under_o christ_n as_o for_o a_o fight_n but_o they_o present_o forget_v their_o state_n and_o work_n and_o when_o they_o be_v once_o in_o their_o own_o conceit_n regenerate_v they_o think_v themselves_o so_o safe_a that_o there_o be_v no_o further_a danger_n and_o thereupon_o do_v lay_v down_o their_o arm_n and_o take_v that_o which_o they_o miscall_v their_o christian_a liberty_n and_o indulge_v and_o please_v that_o flesh_n which_o they_o promise_v to_o mortify_v and_o close_o with_o the_o world_n which_o they_o promise_v to_o contemn_v and_o so_o give_v up_o themselves_o to_o the_o devil_n who_o they_o promise_v to_o fight_v against_o if_o once_o you_o apprehend_v that_o all_o your_o religion_n lie_v in_o mere_a believe_v that_o all_o shall_v go_v well_o with_o you_o and_o that_o the_o bitterness_n of_o death_n be_v past_a and_o in_o a_o forbearance_n of_o some_o disgraceful_a sin_n and_o be_v much_o in_o the_o exercise_n of_o your_o gift_n and_o in_o external_a way_n of_o duty_n and_o give_v god_n a_o cheap_a and_o plausible_a obedience_n in_o those_o thing_n only_o which_o the_o flesh_n can_v spare_v you_o be_v then_o fall_v into_o that_o deceitful_a hypocrisy_n which_o will_v as_o sure_o condemn_v you_o as_o open_a profaneness_n if_o you_o get_v not_o out_o of_o it_o you_o must_v live_v as_o in_o a_o fight_n or_o you_o can_v overcome_v you_o must_v live_v loose_a from_o all_o thing_n in_o this_o world_n if_o you_o will_v be_v ready_a for_o another_o you_o must_v not_o live_v after_o the_o flesh_n but_o mortify_v it_o by_o the_o spirit_n if_o you_o will_v not_o die_v but_o live_v for_o ever_o rom._n 8.13_o

end_n of_o his_o work_n of_o redemption_n and_o the_o blessedness_n of_o his_o saint_n and_o that_o himself_o be_v as_o mediator_n but_o the_o way_n to_o the_o father_n it_o be_v the_o father_n that_o prepare_v the_o kingdom_n for_o they_o and_o from_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o world_n prepare_v it_o both_o for_o they_o as_o choose_v one_o and_o for_o they_o as_o future_a believer_n and_o have_v add_v to_o our_o faith_n virtue_n and_o have_v improve_v our_o talent_n and_o have_v love_v christ_n to_o the_o hazard_n of_o all_o or_o his_o sake_n for_o it_o be_v not_o only_o or_o
