not_o the_o least_o reason_n for_o this_o consequence_n for_o though_o baptism_n have_v be_v as_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n as_o we_o conceive_v it_o to_o be_v yet_o there_o have_v be_v no_o need_n of_o mention_v it_o here_o see_v he_o who_o do_v not_o believe_v can_v be_v capable_a of_o baptism_n and_o therefore_o must_v be_v responsible_a as_o well_o for_o want_v of_o baptism_n as_o of_o faith_n and_o therefore_o the_o desert_n of_o the_o sentence_n of_o damnation_n may_v be_v ground_v on_o both_o yet_o so_o as_o that_o there_o be_v no_o need_n of_o mention_v any_o more_o than_o the_o want_n of_o belief_n because_o the_o whole_a guilt_n of_o the_o want_n of_o baptism_n in_o that_o case_n be_v to_o be_v charge_v on_o the_o want_n of_o faith_n as_o the_o cause_n of_o it_o but_o whatever_o may_v be_v think_v of_o the_o actual_a damnation_n of_o person_n who_o inevitable_o want_v it_o yet_o when_o our_o saviour_n reckon_v it_o among_o the_o requisite_n of_o salvation_n certain_o the_o least_o he_o can_v mean_v by_o it_o be_v that_o he_o will_v not_o encourage_v any_o to_o be_v confident_a of_o his_o salvation_n on_o his_o belief_n alone_o if_o he_o want_v baptism_n which_o will_v at_o least_o make_v baptism_n necessary_a as_o a_o ordinary_a mean_n of_o assurance_n of_o salvation_n if_o not_o as_o a_o mean_n of_o salvation_n itself_o and_o this_o necessity_n of_o it_o for_o our_o assurance_n of_o salvation_n be_v alone_o sufficient_a for_o my_o purpose_n i_o may_v also_o reduce_v to_o this_o topick_n the_o passage_n of_o st._n john_n but_o because_o i_o have_v already_o prevent_v myself_o concern_v it_o 5_o joh._n iii._o 5_o i_o say_v no_o more_o of_o it_o at_o present_a §_o xl_o and_o if_o baptism_n be_v thus_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n thus_o much_o at_o least_o will_v follow_v that_o they_o who_o want_v the_o benefit_n of_o baptism_n must_v want_v the_o benefit_n of_o salvation_n unless_o this_o want_n be_v supply_v by_o other_o mean_n as_o available_a for_o this_o purpose_n as_o baptism_n itself_o but_o that_o there_o be_v no_o such_o other_o mean_n ordinary_o to_o be_v expect_v antecedent_o to_o baptism_n appear_v from_o hence_o that_o it_o be_v reckon_v as_o the_o ordinary_a effect_n of_o baptism_n and_o man_n be_v then_o say_v to_o be_v save_v when_o they_o be_v baptize_v which_o must_v certain_o suppose_v they_o before_o baptism_n out_o of_o the_o ordinary_a way_n of_o salvation_n and_o this_o be_v the_o rather_o credible_a because_o it_o be_v not_o speak_v of_o particular_a person_n as_o consider_v in_o particular_a circumstance_n but_o general_o as_o the_o benefit_n presume_v to_o be_v need_v by_o all_o that_o come_v to_o it_o chap._n xvi_o salvation_n not_o ordinary_o to_o be_v expect_v without_o external_a communicate_v in_o the_o lord_n supper_n the_o content_n §_o i_o thing_n to_o be_v premise_v §_o i._o 1._o that_o this_o dependence_n on_o the_o episcopal_a communion_n for_o a_o valid_a baptism_n will_v alone_o suffice_v so_o far_o for_o my_o purpose_n as_o to_o discourage_v the_o perpetuate_a any_o opposite_a communion_n §_o two_o iii_o iu_o inference_n 1._o that_o if_o this_o be_v grant_v even_o the_o abstain_v of_o pious_a person_n from_o the_o lawful_a communion_n will_v be_v very_o rare_a §_o v._o inf._n 2._o that_o even_o those_o few_o pious_a person_n who_o after_o all_o diligence_n use_v to_o inform_v themselves_o and_o all_o lawful_a condescension_n can_v not_o submit_v to_o the_o term_n of_o the_o lawful_a communion_n will_v yet_o never_o perpetuate_v so_o much_o as_o their_o non-communion_n §_o vi_o vii_o 2._o premisal_n that_o it_o can_v be_v expect_v that_o this_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n shall_v be_v as_o necessary_a as_o that_o of_o baptism_n §_o viii_o the_o necessity_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n to_o salvation_n prove_v
