sight_n which_o have_v not_o only_o the_o same_o light_n of_o nature_n which_o they_o have_v and_o withal_o the_o whole_a law_n &_o the_o prophet_n unto_o the_o which_o if_o we_o will_v give_v heed_n as_o saint_n peter_n exhort_v 19_o 2._o pet._n 1_o 19_o we_o it_o will_v shine_v unto_o we_o as_o a_o light_n out_o of_o a_o dark_a place_n but_o also_o we_o have_v have_v and_o bless_a bee_n god_n darkness_n of_o egypt_n ignorance_n or_o want_n of_o knowledge_n sure_o in_o many_o sin_n want_v of_o knowledge_n the_o cause_n of_o sin_n be_v the_o cause_n that_o they_o can_v see_v to_o walk_v in_o the_o step_n of_o virtue_n but_o yet_o i_o do_v not_o so_o much_o lament_v to_o see_v the_o ignorance_n of_o some_o though_o it_o be_v lamentable_a to_o see_v so_o many_o continue_v still_o in_o ignorance_n &_o the_o word_n of_o god_n so_o plentiful_o preach_v honesty_n the_o ignorant_a that_o live_v in_o some_o civility_n a_o great_a deal_n better_o than_o they_o that_o boast_v of_o knowledge_n but_o be_v void_a of_o common_a honesty_n as_o it_o be_v as_o i_o do_v bewail_v the_o state_n and_o condition_n of_o other_o that_o make_v show_v to_o the_o world_n of_o great_a knowledge_n and_o understanding_n of_o the_o scripture_n yea_o and_o will_v seem_v to_o talk_v reason_n &_o dispute_v of_o it_o oftentimes_o as_o though_o there_o be_v nothing_o in_o they_o but_o religion_n &_o holiness_n but_o when_o their_o word_n be_v past_a &_o their_o talk_n end_v if_o for_o their_o great_a word_n we_o look_v for_o some_o deed_n and_o for_o long_o talk_v expect_v honest_a walk_n than_o we_o shall_v see_v the_o case_n very_o much_o alter_v they_o which_o seem_v to_o be_v

timely_a physic_n be_v in_o great_a danger_n of_o death_n by_o sickness_n &_o so_o be_v the_o soul_n of_o man_n by_o sin_n regard_v much_o money_n give_v for_o health_n of_o body_n but_o physic_n for_o the_o soul_n be_v little_o regard_v the_o body_n oftentimes_o be_v recover_v when_o physic_n be_v apply_v and_o so_o be_v the_o soul_n of_o man_n if_o she_o receive_v that_o physic_n which_o be_v appoint_v for_o she_o only_o herein_o be_v a_o difference_n when_o we_o be_v sick_a in_o our_o body_n by_o disease_n we_o will_v give_v any_o money_n to_o have_v health_n but_o will_v suffer_v our_o soul_n to_o be_v very_o extreme_o sick_a and_o almost_o at_o point_n of_o death_n with_o sin_n and_o never_o care_v to_o seek_v for_o health_n nay_o we_o will_v scarce_o receive_v physic_n for_o our_o soul_n though_o it_o be_v bring_v home_o unto_o we_o free_o without_o money_n without_o penny_n or_o penny_n worth_a even_o as_o the_o prophet_n esaie_n complain_v of_o the_o jew_n that_o refuse_v to_o receive_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n which_o 55.1.2_o esay_n 55.1.2_o be_v offer_v unto_o they_o free_o without_o money_n but_o be_v willing_a to_o lay_v out_o their_o silver_n for_o that_o which_o be_v nought_o worth_a &_o wherewith_o they_o can_v not_o be_v satisfy_v what_o marvel_v then_o be_v it_o that_o the_o sinful_a soul_n of_o man_n be_v so_o distemper_a and_o out_o of_o order_n insomuch_o that_o the_o beat_n of_o her_o pulse_n may_v be_v perceive_v with_o out_o feel_v now_o of_o all_o sickness_n the_o sickness_n of_o intemperancy_n be_v the_o worst_a for_o it_o great_o anoy_v &_o in_o time_n destroy_v soul_n intemperancy_n a_o dangerous_a disease_n of_o the_o soul_n both_o the_o health_n of_o soul_n and_o body_n it_o also_o make_v the_o body_n unapt_a for_o any_o labour_n and_o it_o hinder_v the_o soul_n from_o all_o virtue_n whereof_o we_o have_v but_o too_o many_o example_n s._n peter_n therefore_o know_v the_o great_a hurt_n which_o come_v unto_o man_n by_o intemperancy_n exhort_v we_o to_o make_v much_o of_o the_o virtue_n contrary_a thereunto_o call_v temperance_n or_o sobriety_n and_o to_o the_o end_n we_o shall_v regard_v it_o the_o better_a he_o link_v the_o same_o to_o his_o chain_n say_v join_v with_o your_o faith_n virtue_n with_o virtue_n knowledge_n with_o knowledge_n temperance_n temperance_n therefore_o without_o all_o and_o even_o as_o in_o tune_n or_o similitude_n a_o similitude_n sing_v without_o the_o mean_a there_o can_v be_v no_o good_a melody_n so_o in_o the_o government_n of_o our_o life_n without_o sobriety_n or_o temperance_n every_o thing_n will_v be_v disorder_v where_o temperance_n rule_v not_o there_o be_v gluttony_n surfeit_v drunkenness_n luxuriousness_n and_o all_o kind_n of_o wickedness_n where_o temperance_n bear_v sway_n there_o the_o health_n of_o the_o body_n be_v preserve_v there_o also_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n be_v at_o liberty_n to_o read_v to_o pray_v to_o study_v to_o meditate_v to_o take_v counsel_n virtue_n temperance_n a_o worthy_a virtue_n to_o give_v counsel_n to_o govern_v all_o the_o affayer_n of_o this_o life_n where_o temperance_n be_v there_o be_v shamefastness_n there_o be_v honesty_n there_o be_v chastity_n there_o be_v modesty_n there_o be_v humility_n there_o be_v moderation_n and_o good_a order_n keep_v in_o discern_v what_o ought_v to_o be_v do_v how_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v do_v and_o what_o ought_v to_o be_v leave_v undo_v by_o temperance_n we_o avoid_v many_o sickness_n of_o the_o body_n and_o many_o disease_n of_o the_o soul_n who_o then_o will_v not_o be_v in_o love_n with_o temperance_n temperance_n say_v one_o be_v a_o noble_a virtue_n and_o chief_o appertain_v to_o the_o honourable_a state_n of_o mankind_n whereby_o the_o princely_a governor_n reason_n which_o reign_v as_o king_n in_o man_n be_v know_v to_o bear_v sway_n in_o man_n whereby_o all_o his_o thing_n be_v temper_v and_o order_v and_o thereby_o differ_v from_o brute_n beast_n temperance_n be_v a_o enemy_n to_o lust_n and_o lust_n be_v a_o wait_a servant_n unto_o bodily_a pleasure_n temperance_n call_v a_o man_n back_o srom_o all_o wicked_a lust_n and_o miserable_a and_o the_o more_o delicate_o the_o body_n be_v handle_v the_o more_o stubborne_o it_o wrestle_v against_o the_o mind_n and_o do_v cast_v it_o of_o even_o as_o a_o horse_n too_o well_o cherish_v use_v to_o cast_v off_o his_o rider_n if_o we_o can_v therefore_o consider_v the_o excellency_n of_o man_n
