strike_v and_o so_o the_o three_o hour_n begin_v at_o twelve_o new_o over_o which_o be_v the_o sixth_o hour_n in_o the_o jew_n lesser_a hour_n and_o this_o he_o will_v easy_o grant_v to_o be_v true_a who_o consider_v that_o the_o first_o hour_n that_o ever_o time_n measure_v be_v not_o or_o can_v not_o be_v one_o or_o the_o first_o hour_n till_o a_o hour_n be_v run_v and_o then_o that_o may_v be_v call_v the_o first_o hour_n or_o one_o not_o before_o and_o as_o that_o take_v his_o beginning_n with_o time_n run_v on_o till_o it_o make_v a_o twelve_o part_n of_o the_o day_n and_o then_o take_v his_o name_n according_a to_o his_o order_n so_o must_v the_o three_o great_a hour_n needs_o take_v his_o beginning_n at_o twelve_o and_o end_n at_o his_o time_n appoint_v now_o saint_n john_n on_o the_o other_o side_n reckon_v not_o by_o the_o great_a but_o by_o the_o lesser_a hour_n therefore_o the_o beginning_n of_o the_o three_o great_a hour_n with_o s._n mark_v must_v needs_o be_v the_o sixth_o lesser_o hour_n with_o s_n john_n because_o no_o soon_o this_o do_n but_o that_o begin_v and_o this_o the_o rather_o because_o saint_n john_n reckon_v from_o our_o saviour_n condemnation_n which_o must_v needs_o be_v a_o little_a before_o the_o three_o great_a hour_n in_o which_o he_o be_v crucify_v for_o he_o be_v condemn_v a_o good_a pretty_a while_n before_o he_o suffer_v therefore_o it_o can_v not_o be_v so_o forward_o as_o s._n mark_n set_v it_o but_o within_o the_o sixth_o hour_n yet_o that_o be_v not_o full_a or_o at_o least_o but_o twelve_o with_o we_o when_o christ_n be_v may_v note_v out_o of_o the_o former_a figure_n namely_o whence_o their_o error_n have_v his_o beginning_n who_o think_v that_o our_o saviour_n be_v crucify_v in_o the_o morning_n at_o nine_o and_o die_v not_o till_o three_o whereas_o indeed_o he_o be_v crucify_v at_o twelve_o and_o so_o hang_v but_o three_o hour_n upon_o the_o cross_n for_o he_o be_v dead_a at_o the_o nine_o hour_n by_o the_o jew_n lesser_a hour_n which_o be_v our_o three_o in_o the_o afternoon_n this_o error_n rise_v because_o they_o think_v christ_n to_o have_v be_v condemn_v at_o six_o a_o clock_n by_o the_o roman_a account_n which_o be_v all_o one_o with_o we_o and_o crucify_v at_o three_o by_o the_o jew_n common_a reckon_n in_o the_o little_a hour_n which_o be_v our_o nine_o and_o so_o they_o reconcile_v the_o time_n but_o this_o opinion_n be_v it_o speak_v with_o reverence_n of_o their_o person_n can_v stand_v for_o saint_n john_n speak_v not_o of_o our_o or_o the_o roman_a hour_n but_o of_o those_o which_o go_v for_o common_a among_o the_o jew_n beside_o the_o story_n of_o christ_n suffering_n which_o be_v after_o the_o day_n be_v abroad_o i_o mean_v his_o arraign_v before_o pilate_n his_o whip_n aray_v with_o purple_a crown_v with_o thorn_n mock_v &_o beat_v by_o the_o soldier_n after_o he_o be_v examine_v also_o his_o send_n to_o herod_n in_o the_o other_o side_n of_o the_o city_n his_o stay_n there_o and_o his_o return_n again_o his_o second_o trial_n and_o final_a condemnation_n before_o pilate_n all_o these_o and_o other_o i_o name_v not_o can_v not_o possible_o be_v do_v betwixt_o day_n and_o nine_o a_o clock_n last_o it_o be_v hardly_o agreeable_a to_o reason_n that_o our_o lord_n body_n shall_v be_v six_o hour_n together_o in_o pain_n so_o unsufferable_a be_v of_o so_o feel_v and_o tender_a a_o composition_n for_o though_o his_o godhead_n can_v have_v uphold_v it_o yet_o his_o humane_a nature_n have_v our_o infirmity_n upon_o it_o soon_o see_v mar._n 15.44_o
