for_o they_o m._n simp._n our_o question_n be_v about_o a_o external_a mean_n for_o you_o say_v that_o the_o work_n of_o creation_n be_v a_o sufficient_a mean_n as_o of_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n but_o about_o the_o external_a which_o god_n have_v give_v to_o discover_v christ_n m._n cranf_n that_o be_v mr._n goodwin_n argument_n because_o they_o have_v the_o meritorious_a cause_n of_o salvation_n therefore_o they_o have_v the_o external_a cause_n and_o mean_n of_o salvation_n also_o m._n simp._n i_o deny_v the_o minor_a proposition_n m._n good_n i_o prove_v it_o thus_o either_o christ_n give_v himself_o for_o the_o heathen_a who_o want_v the_o ministry_n of_o the_o gospel_n as_o well_o as_o for_o other_o or_o else_o he_o put_v a_o difference_n between_o these_o heathen_a and_o other_o in_o lay_v down_o the_o ransom_n of_o himself_o but_o he_o do_v not_o put_v a_o difference_n between_o heathen_a and_o heathen_a or_o man_n and_o man_n in_o lay_v down_o his_o life_n and_o give_v himself_o a_o ransom_n therefore_o he_o give_v himself_o a_o ransom_n as_o well_o for_o the_o one_o as_o for_o the_o other_o m._n simp._n i_o deny_v this_o proposition_n and_o say_v sufficient_a mean_n to_o believe_v unto_o salvation_n m._n simp._n you_o come_v not_o to_o the_o thing_n you_o promise_v the_o last_o meeting_n which_o be_v to_o prove_v that_o rain_n and_o fruitful_a season_n do_v preach_v the_o gospel_n mr._n good_n be_v there_o not_o a_o question_n state_v and_o agree_v upon_o do_v not_o you_o give_v your_o sense_n of_o it_o and_o i_o i_o and_o yet_o now_o will_v you_o find_v fault_n and_o take_v offence_n that_o i_o answer_v not_o to_o another_o question_n which_o be_v essential_o and_o notorious_o different_a from_o it_o for_o it_o be_v not_o there_o may_v be_v other_o mean_n beside_o this_o ministry_n of_o the_o gospel_n by_o man_n which_o the_o heathen_a may_v enjoy_v and_o second_o by_o sufficient_a mean_n to_o believe_v to_o salvation_n you_o state_v sufficiency_n proximè_fw-la &_o remotè_fw-la near_o and_o remote_a mediate_a and_o immediate_a and_o you_o assert_v that_o the_o heathen_a have_v such_o mean_n which_o i_o undertake_v to_o prove_v that_o a_o sufficiency_n of_o mean_n they_o have_v vouchsafe_v unto_o they_o by_o god_n for_o that_o end_n mr._n simp._n sir_n if_o you_o will_v prove_v that_o rain_n and_o fruitful_a season_n be_v sufficient_a to_o preach_v the_o gospel_n do_v for_o till_o this_o be_v do_v you_o frustrate_v the_o expectation_n of_o the_o congregation_n mr._n cranf_n i_o desire_v that_o the_o disputation_n may_v proceed_v you_o only_o maintain_v then_o in_o the_o general_a that_o the_o heathen_a have_v sufficient_a mean_n to_o believe_v

mean_v any_o thing_n else_o it_o be_v not_o to_o the_o point_n i_o be_o to_o prove_v that_o there_o be_v no_o reprobation_n from_o eternity_n now_o if_o there_o be_v no_o object_n from_o eternity_n than_o there_o can_v be_v no_o such_o act_n from_o eternity_n but_o the_o time_n be_v past_a and_o i_o have_v spend_v myself_o and_o fear_v that_o i_o have_v incur_v some_o inconvenience_n in_o my_o health_n yet_o notwithstanding_o i_o have_v be_v free_o willing_a to_o give_v testimony_n to_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n which_o will_v be_v witness_v at_o the_o great_a day_n of_o his_o appear_v and_o till_o then_o i_o shall_v be_v willing_a to_o lie_v under_o what_o reproach_n either_o you_o or_o whosoever_o else_o shall_v cast_v upon_o i_o i_o have_v stand_v up_o here_o as_o you_o see_v and_o deny_v myself_o many_o way_n in_o the_o thing_n and_o shall_v now_o refer_v both_o my_o cause_n and_o you_o to_o the_o righteous_a judgement_n of_o god_n who_o we_o be_v sure_o here_o present_a but_o be_v capable_a of_o it_o and_o can_v carry_v it_o away_o namely_o that_o there_o can_v be_v no_o decree_n of_o reprobation_n from_o eternity_n because_o there_o be_v no_o object_n of_o reprobation_n only_a god_n himself_o which_o be_v as_o much_o as_o to_o say_v i_o can_v determine_v what_o i_o will_v do_v with_o any_o work_n which_o i_o purpose_v to_o make_v hereafter_o because_o that_o work_n be_v not_o yet_o in_o be_v take_v election_n and_o reprobation_n for_o the_o decree_n of_o god_n how_o he_o will_v dispose_v of_o such_o creature_n when_o they_o shall_v have_v a_o be_v this_o may_v be_v from_o eternity_n though_o the_o creature_n themselves_o have_v not_o then_o a_o actual_a be_v but_o if_o you_o take_v election_n and_o reprobation_n as_o
