intimate_v yet_o neither_o will_v this_o relieve_v he_o for_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o the_o blot_n out_o of_o the_o sin_n of_o believer_n at_o the_o come_n of_o christ_n and_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o then_o the_o sentence_n by_o which_o they_o be_v now_o absolve_v will_v be_v publish_v before_o man_n and_o angel_n and_o they_o possess_v of_o the_o utmost_a advantage_n accrue_v to_o they_o by_o their_o pardon_n so_o then_o declarative_o they_o be_v forgive_v in_o another_o world_n but_o none_o have_v or_o can_v have_v a_o interest_n in_o this_o forgiveness_n but_o those_o that_o have_v prison_n etc._n etc._n it_o be_v a_o mere_a quibble_n for_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o they_o according_a to_o their_o present_a condition_n when_o he_o write_v this_o he_o do_v not_o say_v they_o be_v spirit_n in_o prison_n when_o preach_v to_o but_o that_o the_o spirit_n of_o thâ—se_a person_n be_v now_o in_o prison_n unto_o who_o noah_n preach_v while_o they_o live_v in_o the_o world_n and_o therefore_o that_o suggestion_n of_o mr._n collier_n be_v utter_o groundless_a that_o it_o be_v great_o doubtful_a whether_o this_o be_v it_o which_o be_v here_o intend_a but_o however_o if_o it_o necessary_o infer_v that_o christ_n in_o person_n descend_v into_o hell_n which_o be_v as_o absurd_a if_o not_o more_o 3._o and_o especial_o compare_v this_o with_o ch_z 4._o 6._o which_o seem_v to_o be_v the_o same_o with_o this_o for_o for_o this_o cause_n also_o be_v the_o gospel_n preach_v to_o they_o that_o be_v dead_a that_o they_o may_v be_v judge_v according_a to_o man_n in_o the_o flesh_n but_o live_v according_a to_o god_n in_o the_o spirit_n where_o the_o apostle_n state_n these_o thing_n 1._o that_o the_o gospel_n be_v preach_v to_o
but_o a_o metaphorical_a reconciliation_n for_o they_o never_o sin_v neither_o be_v god_n angry_a with_o they_o as_o breaker_n of_o his_o law_n which_o they_o be_v not_o make_v under_o indeed_o as_o god_n command_v that_o all_o that_o do_v belong_v to_o achan_n shall_v be_v destroy_v for_o his_o sin_n so_o we_o may_v conceive_v that_o the_o whole_a creation_n that_o be_v make_v for_o man_n use_n wonderful_a design_n of_o free_a grace_n to_o redeem_v and_o save_v to_o the_o utmost_a all_o the_o elect_n by_o jesus_n christ_n i_o adore_v and_o to_o own_o that_o there_o be_v any_o end_n or_o death_n of_o his_o son_n be_v thus_o universal_a to_o the_o whole_a world_n in_o this_o threefold_a sense_n as_o have_v be_v mention_v hence_o it_o be_v that_o the_o gospel_n must_v be_v preach_v to_o the_o whole_a creation_n etc._n etc._n he_o grant_v indeed_o p._n 16._o that_o it_o be_v especial_o to_o be_v publish_v to_o man_n who_o be_v concern_v in_o the_o sin_n and_o fall_v but_o it_o be_v story_n to_o this_o purpose_n and_o we_o may_v collect_v from_o thence_o what_o some_o of_o they_o thought_n in_o this_o matter_n and_o although_o all_o protestant_n deride_v their_o foppery_n that_o will_v not_o discourage_v mr._n c._n from_o join_v with_o they_o in_o this_o and_o other_o thing_n for_o he_o have_v observe_v as_o he_o tell_v we_o p._n 59_o that_o the_o protestant_n run_v themselves_o too_o much_o in_o both_o principle_n and_o practice_n beyond_o almost_o all_o work_n of_o charity_n among_o which_o perhaps_o he_o reckon_v preach_v to_o bird_n and_o beast_n stone_n and_o tree_n etc._n etc._n if_o i_o shall_v recite_v to_o mr._n c._n some_o of_o the_o story_n they_o tell_v of_o st._n francis_n his_o preach_v oft_o to_o the_o bird_n and_o how_o affectionate_o therefore_o here_o we_o may_v have_v expect_v some_o formidable_a argument_n to_o drive_v christian_n from_o that_o strong_a hold_n of_o their_o common_a faith_n that_o believe_v in_o christ_n be_v the_o only_a way_n to_o glory_n but_o how_o miserable_o he_o falter_v in_o his_o proof_n notwithstanding_o his_o strange_a confidence_n we_o shall_v immediate_o discern_v i_o desire_v the_o reader_n to_o bear_v in_o mind_n that_o person_n adult_n and_o endue_v with_o reason_n be_v the_o subject_n of_o this_o discourse_n mr._n c's_o drift_n than_o be_v to_o show_v that_o although_o it_o will_v grate_v upon_o this_o notion_n that_o all_o the_o world_n shall_v not_o hear_v of_o christ_n if_o there_o be_v no_o other_o way_n to_o be_v save_v by_o he_o but_o believe_v in_o he_o yet_o it_o be_v otherwise_o if_o many_o may_v be_v save_v by_o he_o without_o faith_n in_o he_o which_o they_o can_v not_o have_v but_o by_o hear_v and_o that_o many_o have_v and_o may_v be_v save_v without_o that_o shall_v die_v the_o second_o death_n for_o not_o believe_v which_o have_v not_o hear_v of_o christ_n but_o many_o that_o have_v not_o hear_v of_o he_o do_v die_v the_o second_o death_n ergo_fw-la many_o may_v be_v save_v without_o faith_n in_o he_o i_o hope_v by_o this_o kind_n of_o argue_v he_o will_v not_o infect_v many_o with_o his_o principle_n we_o have_v already_o say_v and_o prove_v that_o though_o disobedience_n to_o the_o gospel_n be_v not_o chargeable_a on_o those_o that_o never_o hear_v it_o yet_o be_v they_o under_o the_o curse_n of_o god_n holy_a law_n and_o must_v die_v the_o second_o death_n for_o their_o breach_n thereof_o see_v they_o remain_v stranger_n to_o the_o only_a remedy_n and_o in_o the_o discourse_n of_o the_o apostle_n cite_v by_o he_o he_o suppose_v
