and_o yet_o do_v not_o all_o man_n so_o by_o nature_n 1_o corinth_n 2.14_o three_o the_o blind_a know_v not_o whither_o to_o go_v or_o which_o way_n to_o turn_v they_o so_o we_o in_o the_o undertake_n any_o thing_n out_o of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n we_o know_v not_o what_o to_o do_v aright_o thence_o especial_o in_o religion_n we_o be_v apt_a to_o wander_v and_o to_o turn_v into_o one_o by-path_n either_o of_o false_a doctrine_n superstition_n tradition_n or_o bad_a manner_n beside_o our_o stumble_n and_o falter_v in_o our_o pace_n and_o our_o oft_o fall_v do_v argue_v our_o great_a blindness_n so_o that_o we_o need_v not_o deny_v it_o it_o be_v as_o palpable_a in_o we_o as_o in_o the_o man_n of_o sodom_n who_o be_v smite_v with_o blindness_n they_o can_v not_o find_v the_o door_n so_o neither_o we_o the_o door_n of_o heaven_n for_o conclusion_n of_o all_o sin_n take_v heed_n of_o the_o contempt_n of_o the_o gospel_n for_o as_o a_o company_n of_o his_o majesty_n subject_n rise_v up_o in_o rebellion_n the_o king_n shall_v gracious_o offer_v they_o pardon_n if_o they_o will_v true_o submit_v themselves_o if_o they_o shall_v proud_o disdain_v this_o pardon_n many_o capital_a error_n through_o the_o church_n while_o the_o apostle_n themselves_o be_v alive_a teach_v as_o aecum●n_o write_v that_o sin_n be_v indifferent_a deny_v the_o lord_n judas_n the_o apostle_n to_o who_o with_o the_o other_o eleven_o belong_v the_o joint_a ear_n of_o the_o church_n determine_v to_o oppose_v against_o these_o man_n and_o to_o guard_v the_o faithful_a with_o some_o aid_n least_o unaware_o they_o shall_v fall_v into_o the_o devil_n snare_n be_v circumvent_v by_o he_o the_o apostle_n therefore_o make_v this_o the_o drift_n of_o his_o epistle_n to_o encourage_v and_o instruct_v the_o faithful_a how_o to_o fight_v for_o the_o maintenance_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o doctrine_n of_o faith_n least_o by_o hear_v wretched_a man_n they_o be_v cast_v from_o their_o station_n and_o that_o this_o exhortation_n may_v have_v more_o force_n with_o they_o he_o use_v a_o most_o forceable_a reason_n after_o this_o manner_n from_o what_o thing_n there_o be_v great_a danger_n lest_o we_o shall_v swerve_v and_o from_o which_o to_o swerve_v be_v a_o most_o grievous_a sin_n for_o that_o thing_n every_o one_o must_v earnest_o contend_v but_o there_o be_v great_a danger_n of_o fall_v from_o the_o faith_n and_o a_o grievous_a sin_n it_o be_v procure_v fearful_a punishment_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v most_o necessary_a to_o see_v to_o this_o the_o first_o part_n of_o the_o reason_n be_v plain_a and_o such_o as_o will_v be_v confess_v he_o confirm_v the_o second_o part_n first_o of_o all_o show_v the_o danger_n in_o the_o four_o verse_n that_o the_o enemy_n of_o the_o truth_n be_v su●h_o as_o will_v not_o open_o and_o direct_o oppose_v against_o the_o same_o but_o will_v sly_o seek_v to_o undermine_v it_o as_o subtle_a and_o close_a pyoneer_n second_o he_o show_v in_o 5_o 6_o and_o 7_o verse_n how_o heinous_o god_n take_v at_o any_o time_n the_o defection_n from_o the_o truth_n and_o turn_n to_o sin_n by_o woeful_a and_o evident_a example_n as_o of_o the_o israelite_n in_o the_o wilderness_n of_o the_o angel_n that_o keep_v not_o their_o first_o estate_n and_o of_o sodom_n and_o gomorrha_n in_o that_o they_o regard_v not_o the_o admonition_n of_o lot_n now_o because_o man_n be_v more_o sensible_a of_o the_o grievous_a punishment_n of_o defection_n than_o they_o be_v of_o the_o danger_n of_o fall_v fear_v more_o the_o punishment_n than_o sin_n the_o cause_n therefore_o the_o apostle_n pull_v back_o his_o foot_n again_o and_o betake_v himself_o to_o a_o more_o lively_a and_o large_a demonstration_n of_o the_o danger_n and_o therefore_o from_o the_o 8_o verse_n to_o the_o 20._o do_v set_v down_o a_o most_o full_a description_n of_o the_o wicked_a the_o show_n whereof_o and_o kind_n be_v paint_v forth_o so_o terrible_o that_o worthy_o it_o may_v awake_v any_o to_o circumspection_n what_o these_o man_n speak_v what_o they_o meditate_v and_o what_o mischief_n they_o nourish_v in_o their_o secret_a heart_n he_o bring_v forth_o to_o light_n and_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v do_v so_o plain_o and_o particular_o that_o none_o can_v but_o marvel_v at_o as_o well_o the_o diligence_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n as_o his_o care_n of_o we_o in_o that_o he_o have_v so_o mark_v and_o brand_v these_o wicked_a man_n in_o the_o forehead_n that_o every_o one_o may_v know_v they_o and_o avoid_v they_o and_o that_o none_o may_v wonder_v that_o such_o swarm_n of_o wicked_a man_n shall_v arise_v at_o the_o light_n of_o the_o gospel_n he_o show_v that_o this_o be_v no_o other_o thing_n then_o such_o as_o be_v long_o since_o foretold_v by_o enoch_n of_o these_o last_o time_n and_o late_o also_o by_o some_o of_o his_o fellow_n apostle_n st._n paul_n and_o st._n peter_n so_o then_o the_o greatness_n both_o of_o the_o danger_n from_o these_o evil_a man_n as_o also_o of_o the_o sin_n of_o defection_n be_v open_v sufficient_o in_o this_o 20_o verse_n and_o follow_v he_o conclude_v his_o exhortation_n but_o the_o very_a conclusion_n be_v not_o
