world_n to_o come_v and_o therefore_o god_n so_o often_o warn_v his_o people_n of_o israel_n 11._o that_o when_o they_o be_v once_o come_v into_o the_o land_n of_o canaan_n into_o that_o plentiful_a country_n which_o flow_v with_o milk_n and_o honey_n wherein_o shall_v be_v no_o dearth_n nor_o scarcenesse_n that_o then_o they_o shall_v not_o forget_v the_o lord_n their_o god_n that_o then_o their_o heart_n shall_v not_o be_v deceive_v that_o then_o they_o shall_v not_o go_v aside_o and_o serve_v other_o god_n and_o so_o his_o wrath_n and_o indignation_n wax_v hot_a upon_o they_o and_o therefore_o when_o fair_a promise_n &_o love_a kindness_n can_v win_v we_o to_o god_n then_o use_v he_o another_o way_n then_o do_v he_o appoint_v another_o mean_a then_o begin_v he_o to_o threaten_v and_o fear_v we_o and_o that_o of_o his_o rigour_n and_o justice_n and_o thus_o do_v he_o to_o our_o first_o father_n adam_n because_o he_o will_v not_o he_o shall_v transgress_v his_o commandment_n he_o threaten_v he_o 2._o and_o say_v in_o quocunque_fw-la die_fw-la comederis_fw-la ex_fw-la hoc_fw-la fructu_fw-la mortem_fw-la morieris_fw-la in_o whatever_o day_n thou_o shall_v taste_v of_o this_o fruit_n thou_o shall_v die_v the_o death_n so_o likewise_o god_n to_o the_o whole_a multitude_n of_o his_o people_n of_o israel_n say_v 28._o unless_o you_o give_v ear_n to_o the_o voice_n of_o the_o lord_n your_o god_n to_o do_v all_o his_o commandment_n and_o ordinance_n curse_a shall_v you_o be_v in_o the_o town_n and_o curse_a in_o the_o field_n curse_a shall_v thy_o basket_n be_v and_o thy_o store_n curse_a shall_v be_v the_o fruit_n of_o thy_o body_n &_o the_o fruit_n of_o thy_o land_n curse_v shall_v thou_o be_v in_o thy_o come_n in_o &_o in_o thy_o go_v out_o you_o shall_v call_v shall_v be_v as_o brass_n and_o the_o earth_n as_o iron_n the_o heaven_n shall_v give_v you_o no_o rain_n the_o earth_n shall_v bring_v you_o forth_o no_o fruit_n your_o travel_n and_o labour_n shall_v be_v lose_v your_o land_n shall_v not_o give_v she_o increase_v thus_o almighty_a god_n threaten_v his_o elect_a &_o choose_a people_n and_o all_o to_o keep_v they_o in_o awe_n and_o fear_n of_o he_o and_o so_o in_o another_o place_n he_o say_v 26._o i_o will_v set_v my_o face_n against_o you_o and_o you_o shall_v be_v slay_v before_o your_o enemy_n and_o they_o that_o hate_v you_o shall_v have_v dominion_n over_o you_o &_o you_o shall_v fly_v when_o no_o man_n chase_v you_o thus_o you_o see_v that_o it_o please_v almighty_a god_n oftentimes_o to_o use_v these_o and_o such_o like_a word_n of_o threaten_a to_o use_v such_o rigour_n to_o beat_v a_o terror_n into_o his_o people_n when_o fair_a promise_n and_o sweet_a word_n can_v do_v nothing_o and_o this_o do_v he_o of_o his_o great_a justice_n and_o therefore_o david_n in_o this_o place_n god_n be_v indeed_o say_v he_o a_o rightful_a judge_n and_o god_n be_v ever_o threaten_v if_o man_n will_v not_o turn_v he_o have_v whet_v his_o sword_n and_o have_v bend_v his_o bow_n and_o make_v it_o ready_a he_o have_v prepare_v he_o the_o weapon_n of_o death_n and_o ordain_v his_o arrow_n to_o destroy_v so_o mighty_a so_o omnipotent_a be_v god_n that_o he_o can_v punish_v and_o so_o righteous_a a_o judge_n be_v he_o that_o he_o will_v punish_v when_o it_o best_o please_v he_o but_o some_o man_n will_v here_o peradventure_o say_v if_o god_n be_v thus_o able_a to_o punish_v and_o will_v indeed_o punish_v when_o he_o be_v offend_v why_o then_o do_v he_o it_o not_o by_o and_o by_o why_o
