if_o the_o spiritual_a principle_n have_v power_n in_o you_o so_o as_o to_o subdue_v the_o irregular_a inclination_n of_o the_o flesh_n you_o shall_v live_v i._n e._n be_v quicken_v and_o renew_v by_o their_o occasion_n but_o whether_o outward_a or_o inward_a they_o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o flesh_n they_o be_v the_o same_o sin_n whether_o purpose_v and_o commit_v or_o whether_o never_o commit_v but_o only_o purpose_v and_o determine_v in_o the_o heart_n these_o we_o be_v to_o mortify_v say_v my_o text_n to_o mortify_v that_o be_v to_o kill_v they_o to_o put_v they_o to_o death_n or_o which_o be_v equivalent_a yea_o much_o better_a to_o keep_v they_o from_o ever_o come_v to_o life_n this_o mortify_n of_o sin_n be_v the_o proper_a work_n and_o business_n of_o repentance_n now_o can_v never_o be_v otherwise_o without_o daily_a and_o earnest_a prayer_n unto_o god_n but_o then_o pray_v be_v not_o all_o you_o must_v also_o do_v what_o you_o can_v you_o can_v choose_v whether_o you_o will_v go_v to_o the_o house_n of_o prayer_n at_o prayer-time_n or_o whether_o you_o will_v sit_v at_o home_n or_o visit_v or_o walk_v the_o field_n at_o home_n you_o can_v choose_v whether_o you_o will_v pray_v or_o read_v a_o book_n that_o may_v profit_v you_o or_o whether_o you_o will_v do_v that_o which_o may_v hurt_v or_o which_o can_v profit_v you_o you_o can_v choose_v whether_o you_o will_v give_v your_o mind_n to_o what_o you_o read_v or_o hear_v or_o whether_o you_o will_v divide_v it_o between_o sleep_n and_o talk_v and_o other_o matter_n you_o can_v if_o you_o please_v lay_v up_o what_o you_o learn_v you_o can_v think_v of_o it_o again_o in_o due_a time_n and_o so_o apply_v it_o that_o it_o may_v make_v some_o impression_n i_o do_v not_o say_v you_o can_v have_v faith_n when_o you_o please_v but_o st._n paul_n say_v faith_n come_v by_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o you_o may_v hear_v it_o when_o you_o please_v and_o god_n blessing_n be_v ready_a to_o shall_v lay_v to_o heart_n so_o as_o to_o make_v some_o impression_n that_o you_o shall_v heed_v it_o with_o the_o same_o concernment_n and_o with_o at_o least_o as_o much_o effect_n as_o you_o will_v do_v if_o your_o lawyer_n shall_v tell_v you_o of_o something_o which_o endanger_v your_o whole_a estate_n or_o if_o your_o physician_n shall_v warn_v you_o of_o some_o disease_n that_o if_o not_o prevent_v will_v shorten_v your_o life_n of_o his_o work_n chief_o of_o his_o judgement_n god_n expect_v you_o shall_v be_v a_o diligent_a observer_n first_o when_o you_o see_v other_o suffer_v for_o their_o sin_n which_o perhaps_o be_v also_o you_o you_o can_v but_o know_v that_o god_n have_v make_v they_o example_n to_o you_o and_o therefore_o whatsoever_o his_o end_n may_v be_v towards_o they_o you_o neglect_v all_o these_o method_n and_o mean_n of_o conversion_n what_o remain_v but_o a_o sad_a and_o fearful_a account_n a_o account_n that_o come_v slow_a but_o will_v be_v most_o sure_a first_o for_o your_o sin_n and_o then_o for_o your_o impenitence_n and_o then_o for_o your_o neglect_n of_o the_o mean_n of_o repentance_n this_o last_o will_v make_v you_o quite_o inexcusable_a when_o you_o be_v in_o hell_n whither_o you_o be_v go_v and_o must_v come_v without_o repentance_n it_o will_v be_v another_o hell_n to_o you_o to_o consider_v how_o possible_a it_o be_v for_o you_o by_o repent_v in_o this_o life_n to_o have_v prevent_v that_o misery_n which_o now_o you_o be_v for_o ever_o to_o endure_v and_o to_o have_v obtain_v that_o bliss_n from_o which_o you_o be_v now_o separate_v for_o ever_o whereas_o contrary_a wise_a if_o you_o lay_v hold_v on_o this_o opportunity_n if_o you_o make_v use_v of_o these_o mean_n that_o use_v for_o which_o they_o be_v intend_v of_o god_n you_o will_v soon_o find_v a_o sensible_a benefit_n in_o certain_a effect_n which_o deserve_v more_o time_n than_o i_o have_v now_o to_o consider_v they_o first_o you_o will_v find_v the_o god_n will_v not_o the_o death_n of_o a_o sinner_n but_o rather_o that_o he_o shall_v be_v convert_v and_o live_v if_o long_a life_n therefore_o be_v needful_a to_o complete_a your_o conversion_n god_n will_v give_v it_o if_o not_o he_o will_v the_o soon_o perfect_v your_o conversion_n for_o he_o have_v declare_v in_o favour_n of_o such_o as_o you_o be_v that_o he_o will_v not_o quench_v the_o smoke_a flax_n nor_o break_v the_o bruise_a reed_n until_o he_o have_v bring_v forth_o judgement_n to_o victory_n till_o he_o have_v give_v you_o a_o full_a conquest_n of_o your_o sin_n but_o how_o
