you_o professor_n of_o england_n be_v it_o not_o enough_o that_o my_o faithful_a minister_n &_o labourer_n shall_v be_v reproach_v and_o scorn_v and_o trample_v on_o by_o the_o profane_a wicked_a the_o truth_n deliver_v and_o this_o not_o to_o satisfy_v yourselves_o in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o truth_n it_o have_v not_o be_v that_o you_o may_v know_v love_n and_o obey_v truth_n but_o to_o the_o lord_n and_o many_o of_o you_o present_a he_o be_v to_o many_o of_o you_o a_o faithful_a pastor_n and_o teacher_n who_o labour_v among_o you_o in_o the_o word_n and_o doctrine_n and_o mind_n what_o the_o prophet_n say_v zech._n 13.7_o smite_v the_o shepherd_n and_o the_o sheep_n shall_v be_v scatter_v etc._n etc._n if_o the_o lord_n prevent_v not_o now_o the_o shepherd_n be_v smite_v you_o will_v be_v scatter_v for_o it_o will_v be_v hard_a to_o find_v a_o person_n so_o ready_a to_o venture_v life_n and_o liberty_n to_o feed_v you_o as_o undoubted_o have_v god_n spare_v he_o he_o will_v have_v be_v and_o beside_o to_o many_o of_o you_o he_o may_v be_v a_o spiritual_a father_n a_o father_n in_o christ_n a_o mean_n of_o your_o conviction_n and_o conversion_n and_o oh_o what_o hard_a heart_n have_v you_o if_o you_o can_v mourn_v over_o a_o dead_a father_n a_o dead_a shepherd_n a_o faithful_a pastor_n when_o take_v from_o you_o &_o c_o but_o four_o consider_v those_o bless_a qualification_n wherewith_o this_o servant_n of_o christ_n be_v bespangle_v and_o whereby_o he_o be_v enable_v to_o serve_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o your_o soul_n as_o first_o he_o be_v one_o a_o member_n that_o he_o do_v in_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o church_n give_v the_o right_a hand_n of_o fellowship_n unto_o but_o he_o do_v acquaint_v they_o with_o this_o his_o principle_n tell_v they_o that_o union_n with_o christ_n be_v the_o ground_n of_o communion_n among_o the_o saint_n and_o the_o reason_n of_o their_o admission_n be_v not_o their_o be_v of_o this_o or_o that_o opinion_n but_o for_o that_o they_o be_v judge_v person_n interest_v in_o christ_n and_o such_o who_o by_o virtue_n of_o christ_n purchase_n be_v heir_n of_o that_o glory_n above_o that_o must_v receive_v all_o saint_n not_o as_o presbyter_n or_o independent_o or_o anabaptist_n etc._n etc._n but_o as_o saint_n into_o its_o everlasting_a habitation_n second_o he_o have_v great_a light_n in_o the_o doctrine_n of_o free_a grace_n he_o have_v cast_v anchorwithin_o the_o vail_n and_o understand_v much_o of_o that_o great_a mystery_n of_o the_o mercy_n seat_n and_o indeed_o here_o lie_v the_o glory_n of_o his_o ministry_n in_o hold_v forth_o the_o riches_n of_o god_n grace_n by_o jesus_n christ_n in_o the_o preach_n of_o this_o doctrine_n he_o be_v a_o mystery_n to_o this_o blind_a world_n they_o can_v not_o understand_v he_o and_o therefore_o hardly_o know_v by_o what_o name_n to_o call_v he_o and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o he_o be_v a_o offence_n to_o many_o professor_n for_o they_o not_o be_v able_a to_o reach_v he_o do_v judge_v that_o he_o intend_v liberty_n to_o sin_n notwithstanding_o he_o do_v often_o mention_v those_o caution_n lay_v down_o by_o the_o apostle_n rom._n 6.1.2.15_o gal._n 2.17_o and_o as_o at_o many_o other_o time_n so_o bless_a be_v god_n a_o little_a before_o his_o imprisonment_n preach_v from_o that_o text_n rev._n 3.15.16_o etc._n etc._n he_o do_v so_o charge_n professor_n with_o their_o lukewarmness_n and_o hypocrisy_n and_o neglect_v of_o closet_n duty_n and_o family_n duty_n and_o church_n duty_n that_o he_o leave_v a_o sussicient_a testimony_n behind_o he_o for_o the_o stop_n of_o such_o mouth_n for_o ever_o but_o in_o this_o the_o servant_n be_v not_o above_o his_o lord_n for_o the_o pharisee_n do_v thus_o charge_n christ_n they_o do_v charge_v he_o with_o be_v a_o friend_n to_o publican_n and_o sinner_n 11.19_o sinner_n mat._n 11.19_o something_o of_o truth_n there_o be_v in_o this_o charge_n for_o christ_n he_o be_v the_o sinner_n friend_n but_o undoubted_o the_o intent_n of_o that_o charge_n be_v to_o accuse_v christ_n with_o be_v a_o friend_n to_o sin_n and_o with_o indulge_v sin_n and_o wickedness_n more_o straighten_v and_o discompose_v but_o when_o he_o come_v to_o speak_v of_o the_o unsearchable_a riches_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o christ_n he_o be_v as_o a_o angel_n of_o god_n lift_v up_o above_o himself_o he_o have_v a_o flood_n of_o word_n and_o yet_o seem_v to_o want_v word_n to_o express_v what_o he_o do_v know_v and_o what_o he_o do_v enjoy_v of_o divine_a grace_n and_o favour_n this_o be_v true_a as_o those_o that_o do_v live_v under_o his_o ministry_n know_v it_o to_o be_v the_o loss_n must_v needs_o be_v great_a to_o lose_v a_o pure_a gospel_n preacher_n be_v a_o great_a loss_n eternity_n depend_v upon_o a_o right_a understanding_n of_o the_o great_a doctrine_n of_o justification_n by_o christ_n eternity_n depend_v not_o upon_o be_v baptize_v once_o or_o twice_o upon_o this_o or_o the_o other_o form_n we_o may_v be_v guilty_a of_o mistake_n about_o the_o circumstance_n of_o worship_n and_o yet_o be_v happy_a but_o if_o we_o mistake_v about_o the_o greatmatter_v of_o our_o justification_n by_o christ_n we_o be_v lose_v for_o ever_o and_o beside_o this_o doctrine_n give_v in_o the_o best_a comfort_n in_o the_o worst_a time_n give_v peace_n in_o trouble_n and_o joy_n in_o sorrow_n and_o life_n in_o death_n etc._n etc._n when_o there_o be_v trouble_n without_o and_o fear_n within_o it_o be_v the_o consideration_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n alone_o that_o can_v establish_v and_o settle_v the_o heart_n of_o a_o true_a believer_n it_o be_v not_o so_o much_o the_o soul_n look_v to_o the_o light_n within_o or_o to_o its_o own_o qualification_n as_o to_o that_o perfect_a satisfaction_n that_o christ_n make_v to_o divine_a justice_n for_o
and_o teach_v to_o rule_v i_o say_v not_o as_o lord_n over_o your_o conscience_n but_o according_a to_o the_o bless_a direction_n of_o scripture-canon_n that_o so_o you_o may_v be_v able_a to_o
