that_o he_o be_v a_o hypocrite_n that_o live_v so_o long_a time_n under_o the_o gospel_n under_o the_o power_n of_o one_o corruption_n have_v no_o power_n against_o it_o have_v no_o grace_n to_o balance_v his_o corruption_n and_o though_o the_o corruption_n may_v act_v yet_o a_o soul_n may_v see_v there_o be_v other_o glorious_a grace_n beside_o and_o do_v you_o think_v that_o complain_v of_o your_o corruption_n can_v that_o serve_v your_o turn_n you_o will_v come_v to_o a_o minister_n or_o a_o serious_a saint_n and_o say_v thou_o be_v trouble_v for_o thy_o sin_n or_o corruption_n be_v thou_o trouble_v with_o thy_o corruption_n then_o thy_o trouble_n will_v be_v know_v the_o very_a bowel_n of_o thou_o will_v be_v see_v work_v out_o one_o way_n or_o other_o thou_o will_v never_o let_v christ_n rest_v but_o get_v pardon_n and_o power_n to_o kill_v thy_o corruption_n and_o if_o it_o shall_v break_v out_o it_o will_v be_v the_o constant_a shame_n of_o thy_o soul_n night_n and_o day_n before_o all_o the_o saint_n never_o tell_v i_o of_o religion_n if_o it_o lie_v not_o in_o the_o vital_n of_o man_n and_o kill_v the_o vital_a corruption_n and_o actuate_v the_o soul_n into_o the_o eternal_a working_n and_o a_o man_n may_v be_v find_v to_o be_v a_o hypocrite_n for_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v thou_o trouble_v with_o a_o corruption_n and_o complain_v of_o it_o can_v thou_o be_v quiet_a with_o complain_v can_v any_o word_n comfort_v thou_o but_o the_o death_n of_o it_o and_o the_o sense_n of_o the_o death_n of_o it_o every_o day_n can_v any_o promise_n comfort_v thou_o but_o as_o they_o tend_v direct_o to_o destroy_v thy_o corruption_n be_v it_o possible_a if_o a_o soul_n have_v any_o reality_n of_o grace_n in_o his_o own_o heart_n i_o have_v rather_o say_v a_o gracious_a heart_n say_v a_o poor_a sincere_a soul_n go_v to_o the_o funeral_n of_o that_o corruption_n and_o see_v it_o bury_v than_o be_v the_o great_a emperor_n of_o the_o world_n or_o in_o the_o glorious_a frame_n in_o the_o world_n be_v it_o pride_n passion_n lust_n or_o whatever_o it_o be_v in_o a_o man_n soul_n but_o this_o be_v the_o misery_n of_o man_n take_v up_o with_o mere_a complain_n of_o all_o professor_n this_o sort_n go_v on_o most_o cunning_o for_o we_o common_o judge_v of_o man_n by_o their_o sense_n and_o sight_n of_o sin_n and_o think_v they_o be_v in_o the_o most_o fundamental_a way_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o they_o have_v the_o root_n of_o the_o matter_n and_o god_n have_v touch_v they_o indeed_o and_o yet_o god_n have_v do_v nothing_o for_o all_o this_o second_o there_o be_v another_o sort_n that_o lie_v under_o terror_n sharp_o flame_a terror_n and_o be_v scorch_v in_o their_o conscience_n for_o some_o special_a sin_n and_o mighty_a violent_a in_o duty_n they_o will_v run_v here_o and_o there_o and_o say_v i_o be_o damn_v i_o be_o damn_v what_o shall_v i_o do_v i_o be_o lose_v for_o ever_o they_o will_v come_v with_o such_o hideous_a noise_n and_o cry_v to_o man_n and_o run_v any_o where_o the_o flame_n be_v so_o hot_a yet_o all_o this_o while_o sin_v not_o discover_v nor_o the_o sense_n of_o christ_n take_v in_o upon_o the_o but_o live_v quiet_o he_o desire_v no_o more_o so_o i_o have_v know_v some_o professor_n that_o have_v be_v in_o mighty_a terror_n for_o one_o half_a year_n and_o the_o other_o half_a year_n be_v as_o joyful_a as_o can_v be_v go_v to_o other_o say_v pity_v i_o save_v i_o do_v any_o thing_n with_o i_o and_o save_v i_o and_o when_o god_n have_v withdraw_v the_o violence_n again_o from_o they_o when_o christ_n or_o the_o manifestation_n of_o his_o love_n but_o as_o for_o this_o terrify_a hypocrite_n he_o will_v snatch_v at_o any_o thing_n as_o soon_o as_o christ_n give_v he_o but_o a_o promise_v tho_o it_o no_o more_o concern_v his_o condition_n than_o if_o it_o be_v never_o name_v yet_o he_o will_v have_v it_o as_o if_o it_o have_v be_v make_v for_o he_o he_o will_v be_v sure_a to_o catch_v at_o it_o if_o you_o can_v divert_v his_o thought_n it_o shall_v be_v as_o much_o to_o he_o as_o christ_n blood_n take_v off_o the_o strength_n of_o his_o terror_n he_o be_v please_v and_o the_o truth_n be_v most_o kind_a of_o hypocrite_n be_v under_o some_o kind_n of_o terror_n or_o other_o they_o will_v never_o have_v such_o twang_v of_o conscience_n as_o they_o have_v but_o that_o they_o be_v under_o some_o terror_n of_o conscience_n from_o god_n upon_o their_o soul_n but_o as_o for_o this_o kind_n of_o hypocrite_n he_o may_v be_v so_o carry_v on_o that_o he_o may_v do_v all_o duty_n with_o the_o most_o zeal_n and_o violence_n he_o may_v pray_v with_o great_a passion_n and_o bemoan_v his_o condition_n that_o it_o will_v make_v a_o man_n heartake_v if_o you_o can_v but_o hear_v he_o pray_v sometime_o if_o you_o can_v but_o be_v privy_a to_o his_o cry_n which_o sometime_o he_o make_v loud_a one_o and_o every_o man_n may_v hear_v he_o but_o still_o his_o conscience_n grow_v more_o insensible_a and_o his_o heart_n harden_v and_o grow_v common_a to_o he_o at_o last_o and_o such_o a_o hypocrite_n will_v live_v in_o the_o fire_n if_o he_o can_v but_o get_v off_o the_o violence_n of_o terror_n his_o heart_n shall_v be_v as_o black_a as_o hell_n with_o the_o very_a burn_n of_o corruption_n and_o certain_o that_o which_o the_o apostle_n say_v of_o a_o conscience_n sear_v with_o a_o hot_a iron_n may_v refer_v exceed_v much_o to_o this_o that_o god_n may_v with_o terror_n fear_v up_o a_o man_n heart_n for_o the_o devil_n be_v the_o great_a hypocrite_n and_o he_o live_v under_o the_o great_a terror_n the_o flame_n of_o wrath_n have_v harden_v his_o heart_n infinite_o against_o god_n that_o there_o can_v be_v no_o place_n of_o repentance_n so_o these_o hypocrite_n go_v on_o by_o degree_n and_o only_o in_o a_o general_a manner_n find_v the_o terror_n of_o god_n upon_o their_o conscience_n and_o never_o see_v the_o nature_n of_o sin_n and_o vileness_n be_o a_o hypocrite_n because_o i_o come_v not_o from_o the_o main_a principle_n therefore_o first_o know_v this_o as_o a_o rule_n that_o you_o may_v see_v this_o clear_a that_o simplicity_n of_o from_o the_o natural_a constitution_n of_o a_o person_n not_o from_o the_o goodness_n of_o his_o heart_n it_o may_v be_v i_o be_o not_o give_v so_o much_o to_o cunning_a and_o deceit_n as_o other_o man_n but_o have_v a_o plain_a natural_a constitution_n but_o if_o it_o come_v to_o a_o particular_a it_o may_v be_v i_o have_v as_o much_o in_o my_o intention_n if_o i_o be_v put_v to_o it_o as_o other_o four_o know_v this_o about_o intention_n and_o the_o sincerity_n of_o they_o that_o sincerity_n that_o will_v demonstrate_v a_o man_n to_o be_v a_o saint_n must_v flow_v from_o the_o pure_a and_o even_a working_n of_o principle_n towards_o their_o end_n sincerity_n must_v flow_v from_o the_o even_o act_v of_o faculty_n within_o towards_o their_o end_n i_o do_v not_o act_v sincere_o to_o god_n though_o i_o pray_v never_o so_o much_o in_o duty_n if_o i_o have_v not_o a_o divine_a spiritual_a spring_n of_o love_n to_o god_n a_o heart_n impulse_v move_v to_o god_n from_o the_o power_n of_o his_o own_o spirit_n if_o i_o have_v not_o grace_n act_v together_o in_o a_o harmony_n faith_n and_o love_n and_o all_o other_o grace_n pure_o and_o real_o work_v to_o god_n for_o sincerity_n as_o i_o may_v say_v be_v but_o the_o spiritual_a tune_n of_o the_o motion_n of_o all_o grace_n in_o a_o man_n soul_n it_o be_v no_o more_o but_o i_o will_v close_v up_o all_o there_o be_v many_o
