the_o nature_n of_o the_o thing_n the_o five_o direction_n labour_n to_o have_v a_o lively_a feeling_n on_o thy_o heart_n of_o the_o evil_a and_o weight_n of_o that_o sin_n which_o thou_o be_v guilty_a of_o and_o of_o the_o misery_n into_o which_o it_o have_v bring_v thou_o and_o will_v further_o bring_v thou_o if_o thou_o be_v not_o deliver_v and_o so_o to_o feel_v the_o need_n of_o a_o deliverer_n this_o must_v prepare_v thou_o to_o partake_v of_o christ_n now_o and_o if_o thou_o partake_v not_o of_o he_o now_o thou_o can_v not_o be_v save_v by_o he_o then_o it_o be_v these_o soul_n in_o the_o gospel_n thy_o sin_n be_v not_o uncurable_a or_o unpardonable_a nor_o thy_o misery_n remediless_a god_n have_v provide_v a_o remedy_n in_o his_o son_n christ_n and_o bring_v it_o so_o soul_n as_o the_o law_n of_o his_o father_n which_o occasion_v his_o suffering_n require_v perfect_a obedience_n or_o suffer_v so_o his_o own_o law_n which_o he_o have_v make_v for_o the_o conveyance_n of_o his_o benefit_n do_v require_v yet_o true_a faith_n and_o repentance_n of_o man_n themselves_o before_o they_o shall_v be_v pardon_v by_o he_o and_o sincere_a obedience_n and_o unbelieving_a unconverted_a sinner_n remember_v what_o i_o say_v before_o that_o it_o be_v not_o a_o verbal_a accusation_n but_o a_o open_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o cause_n to_o the_o view_n of_o ourselves_o and_o other_o that_o god_n will_v then_o perform_v nor_o can_v any_o think_v it_o unworthy_a of_o god_n to_o be_v man_n accuser_n by_o such_o a_o disclosure_n it_o be_v no_o dishonour_n to_o the_o pure_a light_n to_o reveal_v a_o dunghill_n or_o to_o the_o great_a prince_n to_o accuse_v a_o traitor_n nor_o be_v it_o unmeet_a that_o god_n shall_v be_v both_o accuser_n and_o judge_n see_v he_o be_v both_o absolute_a lord_n and_o so_o far_o beyond_o all_o suspicion_n of_o injustice_n his_o law_n also_o do_v virtual_o accuse_v john_n 5.45_o but_o of_o this_o by_o itself_o v._o for_o the_o five_o particular_a how_o will_v the_o sinner_n be_v call_v to_o the_o bar_n answ._n god_n will_v not_o stand_v to_o send_v they_o a_o citation_n nor_o require_v he_o to_o make_v his_o voluntary_a appearance_n but_o willing_a or_o unwilling_a he_o will_v bring_v they_o in_o 1._o before_o each_o man_n particular_a judgement_n he_o send_v death_n to_o call_v away_o his_o soul_n a_o surly_a sergeant_n that_o will_v have_v no_o nay_o how_o dear_a so_o ever_o this_o world_n may_v be_v to_o man_n and_o how_o loath_a soever_o they_o be_v to_o depart_v away_o they_o must_v and_o worldling_n will_v remember_v the_o business_n which_o he_o prefer_v before_o the_o service_n of_o god_n the_o worldly_a matter_n which_o have_v more_o of_o his_o heart_n than_o his_o maker_n and_o redeemer_n have_v the_o work_n which_o he_o be_v do_v when_o he_o shall_v have_v be_v pray_v or_o read_v or_o catechise_v his_o family_n or_o think_v sober_o of_o his_o latter_a end_n a_o thousand_o of_o these_o will_v then_o come_v into_o his_o mind_n and_o be_v as_o so_o many_o evidence_n against_o he_o to_o his_o condemnation_n 3._o the_o very_a effect_n also_o of_o man_n sin_n will_v be_v a_o evidence_n against_o they_o the_o wife_n and_o child_n of_o a_o drunkard_n be_v impoverish_v by_o his_o sin_n his_o family_n and_o the_o neighbourhood_n be_v disquiet_v by_o he_o these_o will_v be_v so_o many_o evidence_n against_o he_o so_o will_v the_o abuse_n of_o his_o own_o reason_n the_o entice_n of_o other_o to_o the_o same_o sin_n and_o harden_v they_o by_o his_o example_n one_o covetous_a unmerciful_a landlord_n do_v keep_v a_o hundred_o or_o many_o hundred_o person_n or_o family_n in_o so_o great_a necessity_n and_o care_n and_o labour_n that_o they_o be_v tempt_v by_o it_o to_o overpass_v the_o service_n of_o god_n as_o have_v scarce_o time_n for_o it_o or_o any_o room_n for_o it_o in_o their_o trouble_a thought_n all_o these_o miserable_a family_n and_o person_n and_o all_o the_o soul_n that_o be_v undo_v by_o this_o temptation_n will_v be_v so_o many_o evidence_n against_o such_o oppressor_n yea_o the_o poor_a who_o they_o have_v neglect_v to_o relieve_v when_o they_o may_v the_o sick_a who_o they_o have_v neglect_v to_o visit_v when_o they_o may_v will_v all_o witness_n then_o against_o the_o unmerciful_a matth._n 25._o the_o many_o ignorant_a worldly_a careless_a sinner_n that_o have_v perish_v under_o a_o idle_a unfaithful_a minister_n will_v be_v so_o many_o witness_n against_o he_o to_o his_o condemnation_n they_o may_v then_o cry_v out_o against_o he_o to_o his_o face_n i_o be_v ignorant_a lord_n and_o he_o never_o do_v so_o much_o as_o teach_v i_o catechise_v i_o nor_o tell_v i_o of_o these_o thing_n i_o be_v careless_a and_o mind_v death_n do_v not_o god_n also_o threaten_v you_o with_o everlasting_a death_n if_o you_o be_v not_o rule_v by_o he_o and_o who_o threaten_v shall_v you_o have_v chief_o fear_v be_v man_n more_o dreadful_a than_o god_n be_v death_n more_o terrible_a than_o hell_n do_v not_o christ_n bid_v you_o fear_v not_o they_o that_o can_v kill_v the_o body_n and_o after_o that_o can_v do_v no_o more_o inclination_n that_o lead_v they_o to_o it_o and_o shall_v man_n be_v imitate_v be_v they_o many_o or_o be_v they_o few_o in_o such_o a_o course_n as_o this_o the_o twelve_o excuse_n i_o see_v so_o many_o fault_n in_o those_o that_o be_v account_v godly_a and_o see_v so_o much_o division_n among_o they_o that_o i_o think_v they_o be_v as_o bad_a as_o other_o and_o among_o so_o many_o opinion_n i_o know_v not_o what_o religion_n to_o be_v of_o answ._n 1._o a_o spot_n be_v soon_o see_v in_o the_o fair_a cloth_n and_o the_o malicious_a world_n use_v to_o make_v such_o far_o worse_a than_o they_o be_v 2._o but_o suppose_v all_o be_v true_a that_o malice_n say_v of_o some_o you_o can_v not_o say_v the_o like_a by_o other_o 3._o or_o if_o you_o can_v yet_o it_o be_v god_n law_n and_o not_o man_n fault_n that_o be_v make_v the_o rule_n for_o you_o to_o live_v by_o will_v it_o excuse_v you_o that_o other_o be_v bad_a 4._o and_o for_o their_o diverse_a opinion_n you_o shall_v have_v take_v counsel_n at_o god_n word_n which_o be_v right_a do_v you_o first_o search_v the_o scripture_n impartial_o as_o willing_a to_o know_v the_o truth_n that_o you_o may_v obey_v it_o and_o do_v you_o pray_v daily_o that_o god_n will_v lead_v you_o into_o the_o truth_n and_o do_v you_o obey_v as_o much_o as_o you_o know_v do_v you_o join_v with_o the_o godly_a so_o far_o as_o they_o be_v these_o thing_n be_v not_o indifferent_a but_o of_o flat_a necessity_n the_o ten_o direction_n do_v all_o your_o work_n as_o man_n that_o must_v be_v judge_v for_o they_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o at_o least_o in_o point_n of_o duty_n and_o comfort_n that_o you_o judge_v this_o preparation_n in_o general_n to_o be_v the_o main_a business_n of_o your_o life_n but_o you_o shall_v also_o order_v your_o particular_a action_n by_o these_o thought_n and_o measure_v they_o by_o their_o respect_n to_o this_o approach_a day_n before_o you_o venture_v on_o they_o inquire_v whether_o they_o will_v bear_v weight_n in_o judgement_n and_o be_v sweet_a or_o bitter_a when_o they_o be_v bring_v to_o trial_n both_o for_o matter_n and_o manner_n this_o must_v be_v observe_v oh_o that_o you_o will_v remember_v your_o trial_n when_o you_o be_v tempt_v to_o be_v drink_v or_o to_o spend_v your_o precious_a time_n in_o alehouse_n or_o vain_a unprofitable_a company_n or_o at_o card_n or_o die_n or_o any_o
