minute_n or_o less_o continuance_n at_o last_o and_o that_o he_o shall_v look_v for_o the_o honour_n and_o prize_n of_o the_o race_n or_o fight_v who_o have_v neither_o run_v nor_o fight_v when_o have_v escape_v death_n that_o day_n or_o hang_v long_o alive_a upon_o the_o cross_n who_o that_o common_a torment_n of_o the_o punishment_n make_v great_a by_o the_o break_n of_o his_o leg_n divert_v not_o from_o the_o thought_n of_o his_o own_o salvation_n nor_o the_o contemplation_n of_o his_o saviour_n and_o we_o have_v reason_n to_o think_v that_o if_o he_o have_v know_v the_o grace_n and_o pleasure_n in_o the_o death_n of_o the_o wicked_a but_o that_o the_o wicked_a turn_n from_o his_o way_n and_o live_v he_o that_o have_v ear_n to_o hear_v let_v he_o hear_v and_o turn_v to_o repentance_n if_o he_o desire_v to_o obtain_v mercy_n from_o the_o most_o high_a who_o heal_v the_o break_a in_o heart_n and_o bind_v up_o their_o wound_n by_o who_o grace_n assistance_n good_a will_n and_o pleasure_n we_o have_v write_v this_o practical_a rule_n of_o christian_a piety_n for_o the_o instruction_n of_o our_o fellow-christians_a hope_v that_o the_o meditation_n and_o study_n thereof_o may_v be_v useful_a to_o they_o for_o obtain_v salvation_n through_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n to_o who_o be_v honour_n and_o glory_n for_o ever_o and_o ever_o amen_n it_o have_v not_o word_n to_o accommodate_v this_o doctrine_n of_o piety_n to_o the_o capacity_n of_o all_o christian_n who_o may_v thereby_o more_o easy_o both_o learn_v and_o retain_v it_o it_o be_v our_o desire_n rather_o to_o deliver_v and_o teach_v useful_a and_o good_a sense_n than_o gay_a and_o paint_a word_n now_o the_o sum_n of_o all_o that_o have_v be_v say_v be_v short_o this_o that_o extraordinary_a and_o supernatural_a gift_n and_o grace_n be_v promise_v to_o all_o man_n who_o will_v believe_v and_o accept_v the_o same_o not_o only_o in_o this_o life_n but_o also_o more_o especial_o in_o that_o which_o be_v to_o come_v and_o the_o same_o purchase_a and_o convey_v to_o they_o by_o the_o virtue_n and_o efficacy_n of_o that_o wonderful_a mystery_n of_o the_o conception_n birth_n death_n and_o resurrection_n of_o jesus_n christ_n the_o son_n of_o god_n who_o be_v ready_a to_o bestow_v they_o on_o every_o one_o who_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n obey_v the_o holy_a dictate_v and_o precept_n of_o the_o law_n and_o be_v diligent_a and_o sincere_a in_o the_o practice_n of_o brotherly-love_n and_o charity_n for_o god_n require_v that_o man_n shall_v fear_v obey_v worship_n and_o serve_v he_o and_o upon_o these_o condition_n give_v we_o his_o promise_n to_o the_o performance_n of_o which_o he_o oblige_v himself_o out_o of_o mere_a grace_n and_o bounty_n and_o this_o be_v the_o duty_n which_o every_o christian_a whether_o high_a or_o low_o learned_a or_o unlearned_a aught_o to_o know_v and_o practice_v but_o for_o all_o other_o thing_n which_o man_n may_v desire_v to_o know_v and_o learn_v relate_v either_o to_o their_o private_a capacity_n or_o to_o the_o rank_n and_o quality_n which_o they_o bear_v among_o man_n and_o wherein_o they_o may_v be_v deceive_v mistake_v and_o err_v since_o all_o man_n be_v not_o competent_a judge_n of_o such_o thing_n we_o have_v purposely_o omit_v they_o exhort_v all_o and_o every_o one_o that_o have_v diligent_o consider_v and_o observe_v the_o abovemention_v three_o head_n they_o will_v keep_v that_o station_n wherein_o by_o right_n and_o law_n they_o be_v place_v not_o decline_v to_o the_o right_n or_o to_o the_o left_a from_o their_o common_a duty_n which_o be_v faithful_o perform_v god_n of_o his_o goodness_n will_v impart_v to_o all_o what_o be_v necessary_a to_o be_v know_v and_o practise_v by_o every_o one_o in_o the_o place_n and_o degree_n that_o he_o be_v call_v to_o in_o society_n now_o if_o any_o thing_n appear_v unseemly_a and_o not_o altogether_o so_o justifiable_a in_o the_o action_n and_o conduct_n of_o other_o it_o be_v not_o the_o part_n of_o any_o private_a man_n to_o judge_n and_o censure_v it_o or_o to_o endeavour_v any_o change_n or_o alteration_n in_o the_o duty_n and_o office_n of_o other_o but_o to_o leave_v the_o care_n of_o that_o to_o the_o lawful_a minister_n and_o magistrate_n and_o to_o pray_v the_o lord_n of_o the_o vineyard_n that_o he_o will_v send_v fit_a labourer_n into_o his_o vineyard_n and_o that_o he_o will_v advance_v protect_v and_o defend_v his_o own_o harvest_n without_o doubt_n the_o lord_n will_v have_v pity_n on_o his_o inheritance_n and_o take_v care_n of_o the_o welfare_n and_o prosperity_n of_o his_o people_n and_o will_v high_o approve_v that_o no_o man_n for_o the_o fault_n or_o error_n of_o another_o withdraw_v himself_o from_o the_o unity_n and_o concord_n of_o the_o establish_a church_n and_o government_n but_o that_o every_o man_n mind_n not_o what_o other_o people_n do_v but_o what_o be_v aught_o to_o do_v and_o perform_v himself_o and_o with_o heart_n and_o soul_n set_v about_o it_o finis_fw-la
