always_o as_o sure_o that_o we_o shall_v have_v power_n to_o do_v this_o as_o we_o be_v that_o we_o sincere_o endeavour_v it_o that_o we_o hardly_o once_o consider_v that_o we_o be_v in_o any_o danger_n of_o lose_v it_o sure_o it_o will_v be_v grant_v by_o all_o that_o a_o bless_a life_n for_o ever_o in_o heaven_n after_o this_o very_a short_a and_o very_o troublesome_a life_n on_o earth_n shall_v be_v at_o a_o end_n be_v a_o very_a desirable_a thing_n and_o such_o as_o one_o can_v but_o desire_n when_o he_o have_v well_o consider_v that_o there_o it_o may_v be_v have_v but_o here_o it_o can_v and_o though_o there_o may_v be_v some_o who_o do_v not_o yet_o believe_v that_o such_o a_o life_n of_o eternal_a blessedness_n be_v to_o be_v have_v in_o heaven_n after_o death_n yet_o i_o dare_v say_v that_o even_o these_o seeing_z they_o know_v they_o must_v short_o die_v can_v hearty_o wish_v it_o may_v be_v so_o i_o can_v easy_o be_v persuade_v to_o think_v that_o any_o one_o can_v we_o may_v walk_v and_o neither_o go_v to_o life_n nor_o distraction_n the_o broad_a way_n be_v that_o of_o man_n lust_n wherein_o there_o be_v latitude_n enough_o and_o the_o narrow_a way_n be_v the_o way_n of_o god_n commandment_n and_o a_o man_n must_v be_v very_o strict_a and_o upright_a in_o his_o walk_v therein_o and_o must_v not_o swerve_v either_o to_o the_o right-hand_a or_o to_o the_o left_a if_o he_o have_v a_o mind_n to_o be_v safe_a it_o seem_v i_o must_v needs_o say_v one_o of_o the_o strange_a thing_n in_o the_o world_n to_o i_o that_o we_o all_o shall_v be_v so_o exceed_o concern_v as_o at_o every_o turn_n we_o show_v ourselves_o to_o be_v about_o our_o live_n safe_o and_o comfortable_o in_o this_o present_a world_n so_o that_o we_o can_v hear_v the_o least_o ill_a news_n but_o it_o put_v we_o quite_o out_o of_o humour_n and_o we_o be_v all_o in_o fear_n what_o will_v become_v of_o we_o and_o yet_o so_o very_a few_o among_o we_o seem_v to_o have_v any_o concernment_n at_o all_o upon_o they_o what_o shall_v become_v of_o they_o when_o they_o die_v i_o confess_v if_o man_n can_v be_v any_o way_n assure_v that_o there_o be_v nothing_o at_o all_o to_o be_v expect_v after_o death_n i_o shall_v the_o less_o wonder_n that_o their_o whole_a concern_n shall_v be_v for_o this_o life_n because_o i_o know_v nothing_o else_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v seem_v to_o be_v how_o it_o shall_v go_v with_o we_o for_o evermore_o whence_o can_v this_o proceed_v but_o from_o inconsideration_n or_o want_v of_o think_v on_o thing_n as_o man_n shall_v do_v if_o we_o do_v real_o think_v in_o earnest_n what_o we_o be_v whence_o we_o come_v what_o we_o have_v here_o to_o do_v how_o soon_o we_o may_v and_o must_v go_v hence_o whither_o we_o be_v to_o go_v and_o of_o their_o worldly_a business_n and_o whilst_o they_o be_v as_o busy_a as_o the_o bee_n in_o gather_v for_o old_a age_n how_o many_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o their_o mirth_n and_o jollity_n yea_o in_o the_o very_a act_n of_o sin_n in_o their_o drunkenness_n and_o gluttony_n their_o fornication_n and_o adultery_n their_o theft_n and_o robbery_n their_o anger_n and_o revenge_v how_o many_o in_o the_o height_n of_o their_o security_n and_o confidence_n sleep_v in_o their_o bed_n ride_v merry_o on_o the_o road_n go_v busy_o about_o their_o common_a affair_n it_o be_v no_o news_n to_o hear_v of_o sudden_a and_o unexpected_a death_n of_o many_o sort_n and_o less_o strange_a can_v it_o be_v to_o any_o one_o to_o see_v those_o young_a people_n cut_v off_o by_o death_n who_o think_v it_o too_o soon_o to_o become_v good_a and_o serious_a and_o be_v unwilling_a to_o mar_v their_o juvenile_a pleasure_n with_o many_o thought_n of_o piety_n and_o religion_n let_v we_o but_o think_v how_o many_o be_v already_o dead_a who_o delay_v their_o repentance_n with_o as_o much_o confidence_n as_o we_o can_v do_v to_o repent_v hereafter_o till_o they_o have_v no_o time_n leave_v they_o to_o repent_v in_o and_o how_o fruitless_o they_o now_o lament_v their_o folly_n in_o do_v so_o think_v but_o what_o they_o will_v now_o be_v content_a to_o give_v that_o they_o may_v have_v their_o life_n to_o begin_v again_o on_o earth_n and_o whether_o they_o will_v be_v that_o grant_v they_o venture_v again_o to_o delay_v their_o repentance_n and_o hazard_v another_o sudden_a fall_n into_o those_o intolerable_a torment_n which_o now_o they_o feel_v o_o let_v we_o not_o stay_v till_o think_v of_o this_o will_v do_v we_o no_o good_a let_v we_o not_o go_v on_o till_o we_o fall_v into_o their_o condition_n and_o experience_n the_o torment_n of_o vain_a and_o fruitless_a wish_n let_v we_o not_o indulge_v our_o infidelity_n as_o to_o these_o thing_n till_o some_o come_v from_o the_o dead_a to_o make_v we_o believe_v lest_o we_o be_v make_v before_o we_o fear_v it_o to_o see_v and_o feel_v what_o we_o make_v no_o more_o haste_n to_o escape_v we_o say_v still_o we_o will_v repent_v and_o become_v new_a man_n to_o morrow_n but_o alas_o we_o know_v not_o yet_o whether_o we_o shall_v live_v till_o then_o nay_o we_o know_v not_o but_o that_o our_o body_n may_v be_v in_o the_o grave_a and_o our_o soul_n in_o hell_n to_o morrow_n and_o for_o this_o very_a reason_n because_o we_o repent_v not_o to_o day_n who_o then_o that_o be_v wise_a will_v venture_v one_o moment_n long_o on_o such_o a_o uncertainty_n but_o suppose_v we_o may_v live_v and_o have_v the_o time_n we_o at_o present_a presume_v so_o groundless_o upon_o we_o may_v not_o be_v one_o jot_n the_o better_a for_o it_o when_o we_o have_v it_o we_o be_v to_o consider_v yet_o far_o how_o many_o thing_n may_v happen_v to_o we_o at_o that_o time_n or_o before_o which_o may_v as_o much_o disable_v we_o to_o repent_v as_o death_n itself_o we_o may_v live_v and_o yet_o be_v as_o good_a as_o dead_a unto_o all_o manner_n of_o religious_a duty_n and_o exercise_n we_o may_v be_v we_o know_v not_o how_o soon_o in_o such_o a_o condition_n as_o we_o may_v not_o be_v able_a either_o to_o reflect_v on_o what_o be_v past_a or_o understand_v what_o be_v present_a or_o consider_v what_o be_v to_o come_v we_o can_v be_v ignorant_a how_o many_o disease_n sudden_o surprise_v man_n which_o though_o they_o do_v not_o immediate_o deprive_v they_o of_o life_n yet_o destroy_v their_o memory_n and_o understanding_n and_o reason_n or_o so_o weaken_v they_o that_o they_o can_v be_v of_o little_a use_n for_o the_o exercise_n of_o repentance_n may_v we_o not_o be_v sudden_o take_v with_o a_o apoplexy_n or_o a_o lethargy_n with_o a_o frenzy_n or_o melancholy_a or_o dotage_n may_v we_o not_o become_v mad_a or_o foolish_a and_o so_o distract_a and_o craze_v in_o our_o head_n that_o we_o can_v at_o all_o consider_v either_o what_o we_o do_v or_o what_o we_o shall_v do_v yea_o suppose_v none_o of_o these_o thing_n befall_v we_o yet_o be_v there_o other_o disease_n and_o pain_n whereunto_o we_o be_v subject_a and_o which_o we_o may_v labour_v under_o a_o very_a considerable_a time_n before_o they_o kill_v we_o by_o which_o yet_o we_o may_v be_v bring_v into_o such_o a_o condition_n as_o we_o shall_v find_v it_o very_o hard_a to_o perform_v any_o religious_a duty_n as_o we_o ought_v we_o may_v lie_v under_o such_o continual_a and_o even_o intolerable_a pain_n of_o body_n under_o such_o daily_a languish_n and_o faint_n and_o decay_v of_o strength_n and_o spirit_n that_o we_o shall_v have_v very_o little_a freedom_n or_o strength_n of_o mind_n leave_v we_o to_o consider_v and_o do_v all_o that_o be_v needful_a to_o repentance_n which_o till_o then_o have_v be_v delay_v why_o do_v not_o we_o think_v ourselves_o concern_v to_o prevent_v all_o these_o evil_n be_v we_o not_o sensible_a that_o such_o thing_n often_o befall_v man_n who_o as_o little_a fear_v they_o as_o we_o do_v and_o may_v they_o not_o for_o aught_o we_o
it_o and_o beg_v god_n pardon_n for_o it_o nothing_o of_o all_o this_o can_v be_v do_v too_o soon_o because_o it_o be_v our_o duty_n to_o do_v all_o this_o so_o soon_o as_o we_o have_v sin_v and_o we_o have_v always_o have_v sin_n to_o be_v hate_v confess_v resolve_v against_o pardon_v and_o forsake_v and_o yet_o be_v this_o all_o that_o be_v mean_v by_o repentance_n though_o we_o can_v not_o but_o confess_v it_o very_o reasonable_a that_o all_o this_o shall_v be_v do_v so_o soon_o as_o we_o be_v sensible_a that_o we_o be_v sinner_n yet_o i_o fear_v we_o shall_v not_o think_v it_o altogether_o necessary_a but_o will_v rather_o flatter_v ourselves_o that_o it_o will_v be_v enough_o to_o do_v it_o in_o our_o last_o sickness_n or_o some_o few_o day_n or_o hour_n before_o we_o die_v because_o all_o this_o if_o we_o have_v but_o so_o much_o time_n and_o so_o much_o sense_n and_o understanding_n leave_v we_o as_o to_o think_v of_o it_o may_v then_o be_v do_v and_o i_o doubt_v not_o but_o it_o be_v do_v by_o a_o great_a many_o who_o yet_o do_v not_o repent_v unto_o life_n as_o will_v be_v show_v anon_o but_o see_v repentance_n be_v all_o this_o and_o a_o great_a deal_n more_o than_o all_o this_o even_o a_o through_o change_n of_o life_n not_o for_o death_n but_o for_o a_o more_o holy_a life_n and_o that_o not_o in_o heaven_n but_o on_o earth_n see_v it_o be_v a_o let_v we_o first_o brief_o consider_v what_o the_o duty_n of_o repentance_n be_v as_o in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n it_o be_v describe_v unto_o we_o and_o second_o what_o time_n the_o same_o scripture_n direct_v we_o to_o for_o the_o do_v of_o it_o and_o by_o both_o we_o shall_v easy_o perceive_v that_o we_o can_v repent_v too_o soon_o because_o no_o soon_o than_o it_o be_v our_o duty_n however_o it_o be_v plain_a that_o it_o be_v our_o duty_n in_o all_o the_o several_a age_n of_o life_n and_o at_o all_o time_n whilst_o we_o live_v and_o therefore_o no_o point_n of_o our_o time_n can_v be_v too_o soon_o to_o begin_v it_o in_o but_o every_o moment_n that_o we_o wilful_o neglect_v it_o we_o add_v to_o our_o sin_n by_o lead_v so_o long_o a_o unholy_a life_n contrary_a to_o the_o command_n of_o god_n but_o this_o will_v more_o full_o be_v prove_v afterward_o second_o observe_v what_o time_n the_o same_o scripture_n direct_v we_o to_o for_o the_o set_n upon_o this_o duty_n yet_o say_v the_o man_n of_o full-growth_n my_o strength_n be_v but_o just_a come_v and_o fit_v i_o for_o manlike_o exercise_n and_o the_o business_n of_o the_o world_n these_o be_v the_o thing_n it_o now_o become_v man_n of_o my_o strength_n and_o vigour_n to_o be_v whole_o employ_v in_o i_o must_v not_o yet_o unfit_a myself_o for_o the_o management_n of_o worldly_a affair_n by_o entertain_v the_o melancholy_a thought_n of_o prepare_v myself_o to_o go_v out_o of_o the_o world_n what_o trade_n can_v a_o man_n drive_v on_o thriving_o in_o this_o world_n if_o he_o make_v his_o conscience_n too_o soon_o tender_a and_o delicate_a my_o head_n be_v yet_o too_o full_a of_o care_n say_v the_o old_a sinner_n and_o i_o must_v not_o neglect_v the_o present_a opportunity_n of_o make_v all_o sure_a to_o posterity_n see_v i_o have_v one_o foot_n already_o in_o the_o grave_a so_o soon_o as_o i_o have_v set_v all_o straight_a for_o this_o world_n which_o i_o now_o make_v haste_n to_o do_v i_o will_v as_o exhort_v a_o ignorant_a man_n to_o consider_v any_o thing_n at_o present_a but_o his_o ignorance_n consideration_n be_v the_o exercise_n of_o knowledge_n and_o the_o improve_n of_o it_o to_o practice_n but_o no_o man_n can_v exercise_v what_o he_o have_v not_o a_o brutish_a man_n know_v not_o neither_o do_v a_o fool_n understand_v this_o psal._n 92.6_o therefore_o the_o way_n of_o a_o fool_n be_v right_a in_o his_o own_o eye_n prov._n 12.15_o because_o he_o know_v no_o better_a ignorance_n therefore_o must_v be_v remove_v in_o the_o first_o place_n that_o a_o man_n may_v be_v near_o concern_v to_o do_v it_o because_o we_o can_v never_o be_v safe_a nor_o enjoy_v any_o true_a comfort_n till_o it_o be_v do_v and_o therefore_o again_o if_o it_o be_v delay_v at_o all_o it_o come_v late_a than_o we_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o it_o and_o that_o be_v too_o late_a in_o respect_n to_o our_o own_o welfare_n god_n all_o the_o time_n we_o delay_v it_o want_v his_o right_n the_o honour_n due_a unto_o he_o and_o we_o all_o the_o while_n lose_v much_o good_a our_o safety_n and_o comfort_n and_o so_o in_o both_o respect_v it_o be_v too_o late_o if_o it_o be_v at_o all_o delay_v but_o now_o it_o may_v be_v be_v too_o late_o too_o i_o will_v not_o say_v in_o a_o worse_o but_o to_o we_o in_o a_o sad_a sense_n that_o be_v we_o may_v drive_v it_o off_o so_o long_o that_o it_o will_v be_v too_o late_o to_o repent_v at_o all_o and_o till_o there_o be_v neither_o time_n nor_o power_n leave_v we_o to_o
repent_v and_o what_o will_v become_v of_o we_o then_o how_o long_o any_o one_o may_v delay_v his_o repentance_n before_o it_o be_v too_o late_o in_o this_o sense_n no_o man_n live_a can_v tell_v he_o and_o therefore_o whoso_o be_v wise_a will_v not_o delay_v his_o repentance_n at_o all_o of_o this_o i_o shall_v say_v more_o afterward_o at_o present_a i_o shall_v endeavour_v to_o make_v we_o all_o contrive_n it_o seem_v i_o say_v the_o make_n of_o a_o new_a gospel_n for_o ourselves_o and_o a_o new_a way_n to_o blessedness_n which_o god_n never_o approve_v of_o nor_o allow_v and_o be_v not_o this_o as_o absurd_a as_o to_o set_v ourselves_o in_o our_o saviour_n stead_n and_o a_o take_n upon_o we_o to_o make_v for_o ourselves_o a_o new_a and_o easy_a way_n to_o heaven_n that_o i_o may_v not_o seem_v to_o say_v this_o without_o good_a reason_n let_v it_o serious_o be_v consider_v that_o repentance_n be_v not_o only_o a_o duty_n but_o the_o special_a privilege_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o good_a news_n which_o the_o angel_n bring_v from_o heaven_n be_v that_o god_n have_v send_v we_o the_o saviour_n who_o he_o have_v in_o the_o beginning_n promise_v to_o sinner_n and_o the_o good_a news_n that_o our_o saviour_n bring_v we_o be_v that_o god_n will_v for_o his_o sake_n accept_v of_o the_o sinner_n repentance_n and_o faith_n in_o he_o and_o this_o be_v bless_a tiding_n indeed_o to_o a_o sinful_a world_n tell_v it_o be_v true_a before_o in_o the_o old_a testament_n and_o shadow_v forth_o in_o the_o law_n but_o now_o most_o full_o declare_v and_o glorious_o confirm_v by_o jesus_n christ_n in_o the_o new_a testament_n the_o law_n of_o innocence_n and_o covenant_n of_o work_n make_v with_o adam_n allow_v of_o no_o such_o thing_n as_o repentance_n all_o it_o say_v be_v this_o do_v this_o and_o live_v do_v it_o not_o and_o die_v in_o the_o day_n thou_o eat_v thereo_n thou_o shall_v sure_o die_v gen._n ii_o 17._o the_o first_o break_v of_o the_o law_n be_v mitigate_v the_o rigour_n of_o the_o law_n and_o be_v please_v to_o accept_v henceforward_o of_o a_o sincere_a obedience_n to_o it_o instead_o of_o a_o perfect_a fulfil_n of_o it_o hearty_o a_o man_n must_v endeavour_v to_o do_v the_o whole_a will_n of_o god_n and_o whatever_o fail_n he_o find_v in_o himself_o he_o must_v as_o hearty_o repent_v of_o they_o and_o believe_v that_o god_n for_o christ_n his_o sake_n will_v not_o only_o forgive_v he_o his_o repent_a fail_n but_o also_o reward_v his_o sincere_a obedience_n with_o eternal_a life_n this_o be_v the_o grace_n of_o the_o gospel_n but_o this_o admit_v of_o no_o delay_n of_o our_o sincere_a obedience_n or_o of_o our_o repentance_n but_o make_v it_o our_o duty_n every_o day_n sincere_o to_o obey_v and_o unfeigned_o to_o repent_v and_o he_o that_o do_v not_o so_o daily_o sin_v against_o the_o gospel_n of_o grace_n and_o he_o that_o hope_v for_o salvation_n whilst_o he_o thus_o daily_o sin_v against_o the_o gospel_n of_o grace_n must_v needs_o frame_v to_o himself_o in_o his_o imagination_n some_o other_o gospel_n than_o that_o which_o christ_n have_v preach_v as_o the_o foundation_n of_o his_o hope_n the_o gospel_n shall_v be_v ashamed_a of_o it_o when_o we_o have_v say_v all_o we_o can_v for_o ourselves_o our_o conscience_n if_o ever_o they_o awake_v will_v tell_v we_o that_o we_o have_v no_o regard_n either_o his_o rational_a creature_n whilst_o we_o delay_v our_o repentance_n but_o that_o all_o our_o delight_n be_v to_o live_v like_o beast_n and_o all_o that_o we_o value_v be_v earthly_a and_o vile_a and_o all_o our_o care_n be_v how_o to_o feed_v our_o swinish_a lust_n and_o to_o humour_n corruption_n and_o can_v a_o man_n perceive_v this_o to_o be_v his_o own_o temper_n and_o not_o be_v ashamed_a of_o himself_o yea_o can_v any_o one_o choose_v but_o see_v that_o what_o he_o do_v must_v needs_o be_v altogether_o as_o odious_a and_o abominable_a to_o god_n as_o it_o be_v base_a and_o reproachful_a to_o himself_o in_o the_o first_o place_n how_o shall_v a_o man_n be_v able_a to_o pardon_v himself_o for_o deal_v so_o base_o with_o his_o own_o soul_n as_o for_o a_o great_a part_n shall_v delay_v to_o have_v christ_n form_v in_o we_o to_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o a_o divine_a nature_n in_o holiness_n do_v not_o god_n in_o jesus_n christ_n most_o gracious_o invite_v we_o to_o this_o high_a honour_n have_v he_o not_o open_v unto_o we_o a_o fountain_n for_o sin_n and_o for_o uncleanness_n wherein_o the_o foul_a sinner_n may_v wash_v free_o and_o become_v as_o white_a as_o snow_n what_o a_o vile_a degeneracy_n be_v this_o that_o we_o be_v sink_v into_o that_o we_o shall_v fall_v so_o deep_o in_o love_n with_o our_o own_o dishonour_n as_o to_o be_v loath_a to_o part_v with_o it_o we_o love_v our_o sickness_n more_o than_o our_o health_n our_o filthiness_n more_o than_o purity_n our_o weakness_n more_o than_o strength_n our_o deformity_n more_o than_o beauty_n our_o chain_n of_o slavery_n to_o the_o devil_n more_o than_o the_o liberty_n of_o the_o child_n of_o
and_o to_o corrupt_v all_o his_o neighbour_n and_o make_v all_o about_o he_o as_o much_o as_o in_o he_o lie_v fit_a object_n of_o god_n just_a wrath_n and_o indignation_n this_o be_v all_o the_o respect_n that_o the_o delay_a sinner_n have_v to_o the_o good_a of_o mankind_n that_o rather_o than_o want_v the_o vile_a pleasure_n of_o sin_n as_o long_o as_o he_o be_v able_a to_o serve_v his_o lust_n he_o be_v resolve_v never_o to_o regard_v what_o evil_n any_o number_n of_o man_n fall_v under_o and_o endure_v and_o what_o great_a baseness_n of_o mind_n and_o temper_n can_v there_o be_v in_o any_o one_o than_o this_o yes_o last_o the_o delay_a sinner_n be_v come_v to_o a_o degree_n of_o baseness_n far_o exceed_v all_o that_o have_v yet_o be_v say_v of_o he_o for_o by_o his_o delay_n to_o keep_v god_n commandment_n he_o declare_v that_o he_o have_v as_o little_a sense_n of_o god_n honour_n and_o of_o his_o own_o manifold_a obligation_n to_o god_n as_o of_o his_o own_o primitive_a dignity_n or_o of_o the_o world_n happiness_n to_o delay_v our_o repentance_n after_o that_o god_n have_v be_v gracious_o please_v in_o the_o great_a wonder_n of_o mercy_n by_o his_o only_a belove_a son_n to_o call_v we_o to_o it_o and_o by_o he_o to_o open_v unto_o we_o a_o new_a door_n to_o salvation_n after_o that_o sin_n have_v wall_v up_o the_o old_a one_o against_o we_o what_o less_o can_v his_o merchandise_n before_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n we_o can_v but_o be_v sensible_a how_o great_a a_o baseness_n it_o be_v to_o deal_v as_o delay_v sinner_n do_v with_o almighty_a god_n when_o we_o shall_v have_v well_o consider_v the_o condition_n wherein_o his_o mercy_n overtake_v we_o we_o can_v but_o confess_v that_o as_o his_o creature_n we_o be_v natural_o oblige_v to_o be_v entire_o obedient_a to_o his_o will_n in_o all_o thing_n and_o that_o as_o sinner_n who_o have_v disobey_v his_o will_n he_o may_v just_o punish_v we_o as_o he_o please_v and_o we_o know_v that_o for_o sin_n we_o all_o lie_n under_o the_o curse_n of_o death_n and_o it_o be_v justice_n in_o god_n to_o execute_v the_o sentence_n of_o death_n upon_o we_o at_o any_o time_n when_o he_o think_v it_o fit_a but_o instead_o of_o do_v so_o he_o be_v please_v in_o much_o goodness_n to_o offer_v we_o a_o pardon_n and_o that_o upon_o such_o term_n as_o have_v all_o be_v leave_v to_o our_o own_o choice_n we_o ourselves_o can_v not_o reasonable_o have_v desire_v easy_a though_o one_o will_v think_v no_o term_n of_o salvation_n shall_v seem_v hard_a to_o those_o who_o be_v under_o a_o condemnation_n to_o eternal_a torment_n all_o that_o our_o good_a god_n require_v of_o we_o be_v but_o to_o repent_v of_o our_o sin_n and_o to_o come_v in_o at_o the_o hear_n of_o his_o gracious_a proclamation_n and_o to_o submit_v ourselves_o to_o the_o government_n of_o that_o bless_a saviour_n who_o in_o his_o love_n have_v provide_v for_o we_o and_o to_o conclude_v ourselves_o safe_a whilst_o we_o continue_v under_o his_o conduct_n and_o this_o be_v it_o that_o the_o delay_a sinner_n think_v it_o not_o yet_o time_n to_o accept_v of_o now_o if_o any_o of_o we_o be_v of_o this_o mind_n pray_v let_v we_o well_o consider_v what_o it_o be_v that_o we_o do_v our_o offend_a god_n be_v willing_a not_o only_o to_o pardon_v we_o and_o rid_v we_o of_o the_o fear_n and_o danger_n of_o eternal_a misery_n but_o also_o to_o reward_v we_o with_o eternal_a blessedness_n on_o condition_n that_o we_o will_v come_v in_o at_o his_o call_n and_o take_v the_o easy_a yoke_n and_o light_a burden_n of_o jesus_n christ_n upon_o we_o but_o we_o will_v not_o yet_o be_v not_o this_o then_o as_o much_o as_o to_o say_v thus_o unto_o god_n good_a god_n be_v content_a and_o have_v patience_n awhile_o long_o there_o be_v no_o such_o haste_n thou_o may_v be_v sure_a we_o have_v no_o mind_n to_o perish_v and_o therefore_o need_v not_o to_o question_v it_o but_o one_o time_n or_o other_o before_o we_o die_v we_o will_v come_v and_o accept_v of_o thy_o kindness_n be_v not_o then_o so_o hasty_a with_o we_o but_o let_v we_o alone_o awhile_o to_o mind_v our_o own_o business_n that_o we_o have_v set_v ourselves_o to_o do_v this_o must_v not_o be_v the_o secret_a language_n of_o every_o one_o heart_n that_o wilful_o delay_v to_o repent_v and_o keep_v god_n commandment_n i_o know_v there_o may_v be_v many_o cause_n of_o life_n that_o they_o never_o think_v to_o any_o purpose_n or_o serious_o and_o concerned_o of_o any_o such_o thing_n and_o we_o must_v needs_o confess_v this_o to_o be_v a_o most_o horrid_a indignity_n offer_v to_o god_n as_o well_o as_o a_o most_o stupid_a senselesness_n of_o our_o own_o good_a or_o evil_n some_o may_v have_v foolish_o persuade_v themselves_o either_o that_o repentance_n be_v a_o far_o slight_a thing_n than_o real_o it_o be_v or_o that_o there_o be_v no_o such_o indispensable_a necessity_n of_o it_o as_o be_v pretend_v and_o how_o can_v we_o excuse_v such_o as_o these_o for_o the_o affront_n they_o put_v upon_o god_n in_o not_o believe_v his_o word_n or_o in_o take_v so_o little_a pain_n to_o understand_v it_o but_o whatever_o cause_n may_v be_v assign_v why_o some_o man_n repent_v not_o this_o be_v certain_a that_o whosoever_o be_v convince_v that_o repentance_n be_v a_o duty_n without_o which_o he_o can_v be_v save_v nor_o god_n honour_v by_o he_o and_o yet_o delay_v it_o delay_v it_o for_o this_o reason_n that_o he_o be_v in_o love_n with_o some_o sin_n or_o other_o which_o he_o be_v not_o yet_o willing_a to_o part_v with_o the_o and_o honour_v he_o as_o his_o love_n to_o sin_n now_o do_v to_o disobey_v and_o dishonour_v he_o how_o long_o have_v god_n already_o wait_v to_o be_v gracious_a how_o much_o patience_n have_v he_o
