god_n and_o according_o apply_v the_o touchstone_n of_o the_o scripture_n i_o be_o confident_a by_o the_o sign_n and_o evidence_n of_o grace_n that_o be_v in_o the_o scripture_n people_n may_v come_v to_o discern_v their_o own_o heart_n not_o by_o any_o virtue_n or_o skill_n of_o their_o own_o but_o by_o the_o virtue_n and_o skill_n of_o god_n who_o power_n go_v along_o with_o his_o word_n it_o be_v true_a a_o hypocrite_n may_v deceive_v the_o quickest-eyed_n minister_n in_o the_o world_n if_o he_o will_v not_o open_o lay_v his_o heart_n before_o he_o and_o therefore_o good_a minister_n sin_n shall_v not_o have_v dominion_n over_o you_o for_o you_o be_v not_o under_o the_o law_n but_o under_o grace_n sin_n indeed_o it_o have_v a_o be_v in_o believer_n but_o yet_o notwithstanding_o it_o can_v so_o act_v and_o command_v they_o as_o it_o do_v former_o they_o do_v not_o transgress_v the_o law_n of_o god_n with_o resolution_n with_o love_n with_o delight_n the_o transgression_n of_o our_o oh_o wretched_a man_n that_o i_o be_o who_o shall_v deliver_v i_o from_o the_o body_n of_o this_o death_n that_o be_v from_o the_o power_n of_o sin_n that_o be_v in_o i_o who_o shall_v deliver_v i_o from_o that_o original_a corruption_n whereby_o i_o be_o make_v to_o commit_v iniquity_n and_o to_o transgress_v god_n law_n he_o presendy_a subjoin_v i_o thank_v god_n through_o jesus_fw-la christ_n my_o lord_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v i_o thank_v god_n jesus_n christ_n have_v deliver_v i_o we_o have_v a_o title_n to_o perfect_a deliverance_n from_o all_o transgression_n and_o we_o christ_n have_v also_o deliver_v they_o from_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n as_o he_o have_v in_o a_o great_a part_n deliver_v they_o from_o the_o act_n of_o sin_n this_o be_v that_o you_o have_v eph._n 1._o 7._o in_o who_o we_o have_v redemption_n through_o his_o blood_n the_o forgiveness_n of_o our_o sin_n where_o sin_n be_v forgive_v there_o all_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n be_v remove_v by_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n believer_n have_v their_o sin_n forgive_v therefore_o the_o guilt_n of_o their_o sin_n be_v take_v away_o so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o guilt_n of_o any_o sin_n commit_v by_o a_o believer_n that_o lie_v upon_o he_o but_o he_o be_v as_o perfect_o free_a from_o the_o guilt_n of_o any_o sin_n whatsoever_o he_o have_v commit_v as_o a_o man_n be_v free_v from_o debt_n by_o a_o discharge_n from_o the_o creditor_n three_o christ_n have_v also_o redeem_v believer_n from_o the_o punishment_n of_o all_o iniquity_n so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o punishment_n of_o iniquity_n can_v fall_v upon_o any_o believer_n see_v this_o in_o rom._n 8._o 1._o there_o be_v therefore_o now_o no_o condemnation_n to_o they_o that_o be_v in_o christ_n jesus_fw-la that_o be_v to_o believer_n christ_n have_v redeem_v they_o from_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n therefore_o from_o all_o punishment_n that_o belong_v to_o the_o break_n of_o the_o law_n this_o the_o apostle_n excellent_o set_v forth_o in_o rom._n 5._o 18._o where_o as_o say_v he_o by_o the_o offence_n of_o one_o that_o be_v the_o first_o adam_n judgement_n come_v upon_o all_o man_n to_o condemnation_n so_o by_o the_o righteousness_n of_o one_o that_o be_v of_o jesus_n christ_n the_o free_a gift_n come_v upon_o all_o man_n to_o justification_n of_o life_n observe_v it_o all_o that_o be_v in_o christ_n they_o have_v a_o free_a gift_n of_o justification_n they_o be_v acquit_v and_o discharge_v from_o all_o punishment_n of_o sin_n whatsoever_o indeed_o i_o be_o not_o of_o their_o mind_n that_o say_v that_o god_n never_o punish_v his_o child_n for_o sin_n it_o be_v a_o abominable_a doctrine_n and_o contrary_a to_o the_o whole_a course_n of_o the_o scripture_n but_o yet_o this_o i_o desire_v you_o to_o observe_v that_o though_o god_n punish_v believer_n for_o their_o sin_n yet_o there_o be_v no_o believer_n that_o have_v the_o punishment_n of_o sin_n for_o you_o must_v know_v that_o there_o be_v a_o punishment_n for_o sin_n and_o a_o punishment_n of_o sin_n the_o punishment_n of_o sin_n that_o begin_v in_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n and_o end_v in_o eternal_a damnation_n now_o no_o believer_n have_v this_o punishment_n indeed_o for_o their_o sin_n they_o be_v punish_v but_o not_o with_o a_o punishment_n of_o sin_n neither_o come_v their_o punishment_n from_o wrath_n neither_o do_v it_o end_n in_o hell_n but_o all_o the_o punishment_n they_o have_v for_o sin_n be_v a_o fatherly_a correcton_n it_o be_v sueh_a a_o punishment_n as_o whereby_o god_n clear_v his_o justice_n to_o the_o world_n and_o make_v it_o appear_v that_o he_o be_v no_o cocker_a father_n it_o be_v such_o a_o punishment_n whereby_o they_o be_v train_v fit_v and_o educate_v for_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n to_o which_o christ_n have_v redeem_v they_o so_o that_o though_o god_n punish_v they_o for_o sin_n yet_o he_o never_o lay_v upon_o they_o the_o complete_a punishment_n of_o sin_n christ_n have_v redeem_v they_o from_o the_o fruit_n of_o iniquity_n
because_o through_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n it_o be_v transitory_a to_o all_o believer_n 4._o last_o it_o be_v call_v a_o body_n because_o as_o our_o body_n be_v make_v up_o of_o many_o integral_n and_o consist_v of_o several_a member_n by_o which_o they_o act_n and_o exercise_v several_a function_n so_o also_o original_a corruption_n be_v one_o thing_n consist_v of_o many_o particular_a sin_n as_o so_o many_o integrall_a part_n or_o several_a member_n whereby_o it_o put_v forth_o itself_o in_o several_a operation_n for_o these_o and_o such_o like_a reason_n original_a corruption_n be_v call_v a_o body_n thus_o you_o see_v what_o be_v here_o mean_v by_o body_n and_o now_o it_o be_v more_o easy_a to_o understand_v what_o be_v mean_v by_o the_o spirit_n the_o spirit_n be_v life_n because_o of_o righteousness_n for_o if_o by_o the_o body_n be_v mean_v original_a corruption_n then_o by_o the_o spirit_n must_v be_v mean_v original_a righteousness_n that_o which_o be_v elsewhere_o in_o the_o scripture_n call_v the_o divine_a nature_n or_o the_o seed_n of_o god_n or_o grace_n or_o holiness_n or_o the_o like_a original_a holiness_n or_o righteousness_n be_v that_o which_o i_o take_v it_o be_v here_o mean_v by_o the_o spirit_n it_o be_v so_o call_v john_n 3.6_o that_o which_o be_v bear_v of_o the_o spirit_n be_v spirit_n and_o so_o in_o many_o other_o place_n now_o this_o same_o habit_n of_o holiness_n be_v call_v the_o spirit_n 1._o to_o show_v the_o excellency_n of_o it_o that_o as_o a_o spirit_n be_v a_o excellent_a thing_n far_o above_o all_o bodily_a substance_n so_o be_v holiness_n the_o excellent_a of_o god_n creature_n for_o grace_n be_v also_o a_o creature_n as_o other_o thing_n 2._o to_o show_v the_o durableness_n of_o it_o though_o sin_n shall_v die_v in_o the_o saint_n and_o be_v utter_o destroy_v yet_o grace_n shall_v never_o be_v destroy_v stroy_v nor_o cease_v in_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n 3._o it_o be_v call_v the_o spirit_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o object_n of_o it_o for_o the_o object_n of_o this_o grace_n be_v spiritual_a thing_n 4._o in_o regard_n of_o the_o author_n of_o it_o it_o be_v the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o god_n that_o beget_v and_o work_v it_o in_o people_n therefore_o as_o the_o child_n bear_v the_o name_n of_o the_o father_n so_o do_v this_o of_o the_o spirit_n thus_o you_o see_v what_o be_v mean_v by_o sin_n namely_o the_o transgression_n of_o god_n law_n either_o in_o omission_n or_o commission_n what_o by_o righteousness_n the_o observation_n of_o god_n law_n in_o the_o duty_n of_o the_o first_o and_o second_o table_n what_o by_o the_o body_n original_a corruption_n what_o by_o the_o spirit_n the_o habit_n of_o holiness_n or_o original_a righteousness_n now_o than_o the_o whole_a amount_v to_o this_o that_o if_o so_o be_v the_o lord_n christ_n be_v in_o people_n than_o there_o be_v a_o death_n of_o sin_n in_o they_o and_o a_o life_n of_o righteousness_n thus_o much_o be_v mean_v by_o the_o word_n let_v they_o be_v take_v any_o way_n which_o way_n soever_o expositor_n can_v carry_v they_o this_o must_v be_v the_o sense_n of_o they_o and_o therefore_o we_o need_v not_o spend_v further_a time_n in_o the_o exposition_n but_o will_v fall_v direct_o upon_o the_o doctrine_n which_o be_v this_o in_o whosoever_o christ_n be_v there_o be_v a_o death_n of_o sin_n and_o a_o life_n of_o righteousness_n the_o point_n be_v very_o evident_a and_o express_a in_o the_o text_n be_v the_o main_a matter_n scope_n and_o drift_n thereof_o as_o well_o as_o in_o other_o place_n of_o scripture_n for_o the_o prove_v of_o it_o not_o to_o trouble_v you_o with_o many_o other_o scripture_n you_o may_v consider_v these_o thing_n first_o the_o end_n and_o the_o office_n of_o christ_n which_o the_o apostle_n paul_n express_v tit._n 2.14_o christ_n give_v himself_o for_o we_o that_o he_o may_v redeem_v we_o from_o all_o iniquity_n and_o purify_v unto_o himself_o a_o peculiar_a people_n zealous_a of_o good_a work_n the_o main_a end_n of_o christ_n be_v the_o redemption_n of_o a_o people_n from_o all_o iniquity_n which_o impli_v not_o only_o the_o removal_n of_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n but_o the_o destroy_n of_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n therefore_o 1_o joh._n 3.8_o it_o be_v say_v that_o for_o this_o purpose_n the_o son_n of_o god_n be_v manifest_v that_o he_o may_v destroy_v the_o work_n of_o the_o devil_n not_o only_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n but_o the_o power_n and_o dominion_n of_o sin_n be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o devil_n now_o therefore_o for_o this_o purpose_n say_v the_o text_n the_o son_n of_o god_n be_v manifest_v that_o he_o may_v free_v we_o from_o the_o guilt_n yea_o and_o from_o the_o dominion_n and_o life_n and_o power_n of_o sin_n there_o be_v one_o end_n another_o end_n of_o christ_n give_v himself_n be_v to_o purify_v we_o therefore_o he_o must_v put_v sin_n to_o death_n in_o we_o for_o to_o purify_v be_v that_o the_o end_n of_o christ_n be_v the_o put_n of_o sin_n to_o death_n and_o bring_v in_o the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n moreover_o christ_n be_v to_o be_v the_o second_o adam_n and_o he_o be_v so_o call_v 1_o cor._n 15.45_o and_o to_o speak_v the_o truth_n the_o first_o adam_n be_v a_o type_n of_o christ_n as_o it_o be_v rom._n 5.14_o who_o be_v the_o figure_n or_o type_n of_o he_o that_o be_v to_o come_v for_o not_o only_o the_o ceremony_n among_o the_o jew_n be_v type_n of_o christ_n but_o even_o adam_n in_o his_o fall_n in_o his_o undo_n the_o world_n in_o his_o overthrow_v of_o mankind_n be_v a_o type_n and_o figure_n of_o christ_n also_o only_o other_o type_n do_v figure_n out_o christ_n by_o way_n of_o similitude_n but_o adam_n by_o way_n of_o dissimilitude_n and_o contrariety_n for_o look_v what_o adam_n do_v the_o contrary_a to_o that_o christ_n be_v to_o do_v now_o adam_n do_v cause_n to_o all_o in_o who_o he_o be_v as_o the_o parent_n be_v in_o the_o child_n a_o death_n of_o righteousness_n and_o a_o life_n of_o sin_n therefore_o the_o contrary_a the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n must_v work_v in_o all_o those_o in_o who_o he_o be_v a_o death_n of_o sin_n and_o a_o life_n of_o righteousness_n second_o this_o point_n be_v also_o plain_a from_o the_o consideration_n of_o those_o respect_n in_o which_o christ_n be_v say_v to_o be_v in_o people_n those_o be_v as_o you_o hear_v before_o first_o in_o regard_n of_o his_o spirit_n second_o in_o regard_n of_o his_o virtue_n influence_n and_o sap_n that_o be_v in_o they_o now_o where_o ever_o these_o be_v there_o must_v be_v a_o death_n of_o sin_n and_o a_o life_n of_o righteousness_n for_o the_o former_a even_o as_o fire_n do_v purge_v away_o dross_n and_o rust_n so_o the_o holy_a ghost_n work_v out_o corruption_n and_o put_v sin_n to_o death_n where_o ever_o he_o come_v and_o as_o light_n expel_v darkness_n even_o so_o do_v he_o expel_v unrighteousness_n and_o sin_n because_o he_o be_v the_o holy_a spirit_n again_o for_o the_o virtue_n and_o life_n of_o christ_n you_o know_v it_o be_v the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n therefore_o wherever_o this_o be_v there_o must_v be_v a_o life_n of_o righteousness_n in_o that_o man_n last_o of_o all_o the_o truth_n of_o this_o will_v appear_v from_o the_o consideration_n of_o that_o communion_n with_o christ_n and_o conformity_n to_o he_o that_o all_o those_o must_v have_v which_o be_v in_o christ_n and_o christ_n in_o they_o wherein_o they_o must_v have_v a_o communion_n with_o and_o a_o conformity_n to_o christ_n saint_n paul_n show_v rom._n 6._o from_o the_o three_o verse_n to_o the_o twelve_o in_o the_o three_o verse_n he_o lay_v down_o that_o union_n by_o faith_n which_o all_o justify_v person_n have_v with_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o from_o this_o he_o infer_v a_o communion_n with_o he_o and_o a_o conformity_n unto_o he_o but_o in_o what_o in_o his_o death_n and_o in_o his_o resurrection_n if_o we_o have_v be_v plant_v together_o say_v he_o v._o 5._o in_o the_o likeness_n of_o his_o death_n mark_v not_o in_o the_o same_o death_n but_o in_o the_o likeness_n thereof_o we_o shall_v be_v also_o in_o the_o likeness_n of_o his_o resurrection_n where_o the_o apostle_n declare_v that_o like_o as_o there_o be_v in_o christ_n a_o bodily_a death_n and_o a_o bodily_a resurrection_n so_o there_o be_v in_o
remembrance_n of_o that_o original_a corruption_n that_o be_v in_o his_o soul_n and_o can_v never_o be_v root_v out_o this_o make_v he_o to_o cry_v out_o for_o deliverance_n again_o four_o wheresoever_o there_o be_v the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n there_o be_v a_o discover_v and_o discern_v of_o the_o several_a particular_n of_o sin_n and_o of_o unrighteousness_n light_v it_o do_v discover_v all_o thing_n that_o be_v foul_a and_o be_v amiss_o and_o life_n do_v oftentimes_o discover_v weakness_n and_o illnesse_n and_o straightness_n we_o know_v discover_v crookedness_n so_o where_o ever_o there_o be_v the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n there_o be_v a_o discern_a of_o that_o inward_a contrariety_n of_o unrighteousness_n that_o be_v in_o that_o heart_n i_o know_v that_o no_o man_n can_v discern_v all_o the_o evil_n that_o be_v in_o his_o soul_n because_o the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n be_v not_o perfect_a but_o imperfect_a in_o this_o world_n but_o yet_o notwithstanding_o he_o that_o have_v the_o life_n or_o righteousness_n he_o do_v in_o part_n discover_v every_o corruption_n in_o his_o soul_n he_o do_v see_v in_o himself_o the_o corruption_n that_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o whole_a frame_n of_o righteousness_n he_o do_v see_v in_o himself_o the_o iniquity_n that_o be_v the_o transgression_n of_o the_o whole_a law_n of_o god_n hence_o it_o be_v that_o the_o child_n of_o god_n be_v so_o humble_v for_o a_o child_n of_o god_n one_o that_o have_v the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n in_o he_o can_v be_v proud_a for_o he_o have_v a_o life_n of_o righteousness_n come_v to_o see_v the_o death_n of_o sin_n in_o he_o and_o to_o disscern_v in_o himself_o a_o universal_a contrariety_n in_o part_n to_o the_o whole_a law_n of_o god_n hence_o it_o be_v also_o that_o they_o think_v worse_o of_o themselves_o then_o of_o any_o other_o because_o by_o the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n they_o discern_v the_o remnant_n of_o a_o universal_a contrariety_n that_o be_v in_o they_o to_o the_o whole_a law_n of_o god_n last_o the_o five_o effect_n of_o the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n it_o be_v this_o where_o ever_o there_o be_v the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n there_o be_v all_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o some_o part_n and_o in_o some_o measure_n begin_v in_o they_o the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n it_o be_v not_o the_o spring_a up_o of_o one_o grace_n but_o it_o be_v the_o quicken_n of_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o grace_n in_o we_o the_o whole_a frame_n of_o holiness_n it_o be_v begin_v in_o they_o that_o have_v the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n there_o be_v all_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o be_v find_v in_o that_o soul_n what_o they_o be_v you_o may_v read_v in_o gal._n 5.22_o love_n joy_n peace_n long-suffering_a gentleness_n faith_n meekness_n temperance_n etc._n etc._n i_o say_v there_o be_v all_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n begin_v in_o that_o soul_n so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o grace_n that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n call_v for_o that_o christ_n have_v that_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n ever_o show_v forth_o but_o he_o that_o have_v the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n can_v discern_v it_o in_o some_o measure_n begin_v or_o beginning_n in_o himself_o take_v the_o low_a and_o mean_a christian_a of_o all_o other_o if_o he_o have_v the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n he_o can_v find_v in_o himself_o if_o he_o do_v not_o judge_v false_o at_o least_o the_o budding_n and_o blossoming_n of_o the_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n of_o that_o which_o god_n require_v of_o his_o child_n by_o the_o beginning_n and_o budding_n of_o grace_n i_o mean_v first_o a_o discern_a of_o the_o want_n of_o grace_n for_o usual_o the_o first_o work_n of_o grace_n be_v a_o discern_a of_o the_o want_n of_o grace_n the_o first_o work_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o humility_n be_v a_o discern_a of_o the_o want_n of_o humility_n the_o first_o work_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o faith_n be_v a_o discern_a of_o the_o want_n of_o faith_n etc._n etc._n so_o that_o there_o be_v i_o say_v a_o discern_a of_o the_o want_n of_o such_o and_o such_o grace_n but_o that_o be_v not_o all_o hypocrite_n may_v sometime_o see_v the_o want_n of_o grace_n but_o there_o be_v together_o with_o a_o discern_a of_o the_o want_n of_o grace_n a_o apprehension_n of_o the_o excellency_n of_o grace_n a_o hunger_a and_o thirst_v after_o the_o get_n of_o it_o a_o high_a value_v of_o those_o that_o have_v it_o and_o a_o constant_a use_n of_o the_o ordinance_n for_o the_o obtain_n of_o it_o and_o to_o all_o these_o effect_n of_o the_o life_n of_o righteousness_n as_o to_o the_o former_a effect_n of_o the_o death_n of_o sin_n you_o must_v add_v that_o property_n that_o it_o be_v last_v it_o be_v a_o never-dying_a life_n when_o this_o life_n of_o righteousness_n be_v quicken_v and_o begin_v in_o any_o it_o increase_v and_o grow_v up_o it_o never_o die_v and_o be_v final_o extinguish_v thus_o i_o have_v as_o brief_o as_o i_o can_v show_v you_o how_o you_o may_v try_v yourselves_o whether_o you_o have_v this_o death_n of_o sin_n and_o life_n of_o righteousness_n that_o be_v in_o all_o those_o in_o who_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n be_v now_o then_o my_o brethren_n be_v exhort_v i_o beseech_v you_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n to_o put_v in_o practice_n and_o to_o make_v use_n of_o this_o touchstone_n and_o lookingglass_n it_o be_v of_o use_n to_o all_o of_o we_o not_o only_o to_o you_o that_o be_v the_o people_n of_o god_n but_o to_o you_o that_o be_v not_o not_o only_o to_o you_o that_o be_v not_o but_o to_o you_o that_o be_v the_o people_n of_o god_n these_o touchstone_n of_o the_o scripture_n these_o scale_n and_o weight_n of_o the_o sanctuary_n they_o be_v of_o use_n to_o all_o sort_n of_o people_n first_o to_o you_o that_o have_v the_o truth_n of_o grace_n in_o you_o it_o be_v of_o great_a use_n to_o you_o to_o try_v yourselves_o by_o for_o by_o often_o trial_n you_o come_v to_o be_v settle_v and_o assure_v of_o the_o truth_n of_o your_o grace_n and_o for_o want_v of_o this_o you_o want_v the_o comfort_n of_o your_o interest_n in_o the_o lord_n christ_n the_o comfort_n of_o your_o justification_n and_o of_o your_o sanctification_n and_o consequent_o of_o your_o salvation_n you_o can_v but_o want_v comfort_n so_o long_o as_o you_o want_v assure_v evidence_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o grace_n in_o you_o again_o you_o do_v not_o only_o want_v comfort_n but_o you_o be_v disenable_v to_o the_o service_n of_o god_n and_o growth_n in_o righteousness_n by_o discouragement_n discouragement_n be_v to_o the_o people_n of_o god_n as_o the_o cold_a wind_n and_o frost_n be_v to_o young_a bud_n and_o whence_o come_v discouragement_n only_o because_o you_o be_v not_o root_v in_o the_o certainty_n of_o the_o goodness_n of_o your_o estate_n therefore_o these_o trial_n be_v of_o use_n to_o you_o and_o much_o more_o to_o you_o that_o be_v not_o yet_o in_o the_o state_n of_o grace_n what_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o so_o many_o drop_n into_o hell_n and_o be_v tumble_v down_o into_o the_o pit_n of_o destruction_n notwithstanding_o they_o live_v under_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o preach_n of_o it_o it_o be_v because_o the_o devil_n have_v beget_v in_o they_o vain_a hope_n groundless_a persuasion_n of_o their_o part_n in_o christ_n of_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o salvation_n of_o their_o soul_n and_o so_o while_o they_o have_v vain_a and_o groundless_a hope_n hence_o it_o be_v that_o they_o go_v to_o hell_n with_o a_o dream_n and_o conceit_n that_o they_o go_v to_o heaven_n can_v we_o but_o once_o convince_v people_n that_o they_o be_v not_o yet_o in_o a_o right_a state_n and_o that_o all_o their_o vain_a hope_n and_o imaginary_a conceit_n be_v false_a and_o will_v prove_v deceitful_a there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o likelihood_n that_o they_o will_v obtain_v true_a grace_n and_o so_o consequent_o come_v to_o be_v everlasting_o save_v therefore_o i_o say_v it_o be_v of_o use_n to_o all_o sort_n i_o beseech_v you_o therefore_o make_v use_n of_o those_o sign_n that_o the_o scripture_n give_v you_o whereby_o you_o may_v try_v yourselves_o do_v not_o think_v that_o it_o be_v a_o irregular_a way_n to_o put_v people_n upon_o sign_n and_o trial_n i_o confess_v there_o be_v and_o be_v also_o justify_v abraham_n when_o he_o do_v believe_v be_v circumcise_v and_o that_o hinder_v not_o so_o those_o that_o be_v circumcise_v may_v believe_v and_o be_v justify_v that_o be_v the_o jew_n and_o the_o gentile_n have_v both_o liberty_n to_o come_v into_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o so_o also_o to_o be_v happy_a by_o that_o covenant_n as_o abraham_n be_v in_o the_o word_n therefore_o you_o have_v a_o application_n of_o the_o former_a pattern_n to_o the_o particular_a use_n of_o every_o faithful_a servant_n of_o god_n that_o look_v what_o good_a abraham_n
