covenant_n both_o he_o and_o we_o be_v party_n in_o the_o covenant_n he_o obey_v we_o obey_v and_o he_o sin_v we_o transgress_v what_o he_o do_v as_o in_o this_o public_a capacity_n be_v not_o alone_o his_o personal_a act_n but_o it_o be_v we_o also_o now_o what_o right_a adam_n have_v to_o indent_v for_o his_o posterity_n and_o to_o oblige_v they_o to_o the_o term_n of_o the_o covenant_n i_o therefore_o now_o it_o sink_v they_o and_o seek_v only_o to_o please_v its_o own_o carnal_a desire_n and_o appetite_n take_v the_o whole_a resolution_n of_o it_o in_o two_o or_o three_o word_n the_o nature_n of_o the_o soul_n make_v it_o prone_a and_o incline_v to_o act_n for_o it_o be_v a_o busy_a active_a creature_n and_o if_o it_o act_v it_o must_v sin_n because_o it_o have_v not_o the_o image_n of_o god_n to_o raise_v its_o action_n to_o a_o holy_a and_o divine_a conformity_n to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o now_o to_o be_v prone_a to_o act_n be_v to_o be_v prone_a to_o sin_n and_o this_o be_v the_o true_a ground_n of_o that_o strong_a propension_n that_o be_v in_o all_o man_n to_o that_o which_o be_v evil_a and_o sinful_a quest_n but_o you_o will_v say_v if_o this_o proneness_n to_o sin_n be_v from_o the_o loss_n of_o god_n image_n how_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v that_o those_o who_o be_v renew_v again_o according_a to_o the_o image_n of_o god_n do_v still_o complain_v of_o this_o strong_a proneness_n and_o propension_n to_o sin_n answ_n to_o this_o i_o answer_v that_o those_o of_o fall_v mankind_n to_o who_o god_n be_v please_v to_o restore_v his_o image_n in_o regeneration_n according_o as_o this_o image_n be_v more_o or_o less_o perfect_a so_o be_v this_o proneness_n to_o sin_v more_o or_o less_o strong_a but_o because_o the_o best_a be_v but_o in_o part_n renew_v therefore_o this_o sinful_a proneness_n be_v but_o in_o part_n destroy_v in_o the_o best_a grace_n weaken_v it_o but_o grace_n do_v not_o quite_o remove_v it_o and_o their_o time_n spend_v upon_o other_o matter_n like_o a_o heap_n of_o aunt_n that_o busy_o toil_v to_o gather_v in_o their_o provision_n not_o regard_v the_o foot_n that_o be_v ready_a to_o tread_v present_a world_n be_v fade_v and_o perish_v but_o your_o precious_a soul_n be_v ever_o live_v and_o immortal_a be_v not_o therefore_o unequal_o yoke_v join_v not_o your_o everliving_a soul_n to_o die_a comfort_n this_o be_v a_o tyranny_n worse_o than_o that_o which_o be_v exercise_v by_o those_o of_o old_a who_o tie_v live_v body_n to_o dead_a carcase_n oh_o what_o a_o sad_a part_a hour_n and_o the_o very_a next_o day_n allot_v to_o you_o unto_o eternity_n if_o it_o be_v not_o so_o it_o be_v more_o than_o any_o of_o we_o know_v and_o since_o we_o have_v no_o assurance_n of_o one_o in_o christ_n be_v no_o other_o than_o for_o god_n through_o the_o righteousness_n and_o obedience_n of_o christ_n impute_v to_o we_o to_o own_o and_o acknowledge_v we_o as_o have_v a_o right_a and_o title_n unto_o heaven_n and_o therefore_o we_o have_v mention_v make_v of_o pardon_n and_o a_o inheritance_n together_o as_o the_o full_a sum_n of_o our_o justification_n act_n 11.18_o that_o they_o may_v receive_v forgiveness_n of_o sin_n and_o a_o inheritance_n among_o those_o that_o be_v sanctify_v it_o be_v not_o therefore_o o_o soul_n a_o bare_a negative_a mercy_n that_o god_n intend_v grace_n go_v together_o whoever_o god_n pardon_n he_o do_v also_o in_o some_o measure_n sanctify_v he_o subdue_v our_o sin_n as_o well_o as_o blot_v they_o out_o he_o abate_v their_o power_n as_o sin_n be_v not_o of_o so_o high_a a_o nature_n nor_o so_o deep_a a_o stain_n as_o usual_o the_o sin_n of_o wicked_a man_n be_v his_o sin_n usual_o be_v such_o rather_o for_o the_o manner_n of_o they_o inseparable_a three_o pardon_v of_o sin_n be_v always_o conjoin_v with_o our_o adoption_n into_o the_o family_n of_o heaven_n herein_o be_v the_o love_n of_o god_n great_o see_v not_o only_o to_o pardon_v rebel_n but_o to_o make_v they_o his_o child_n not_o only_o to_o forgive_v debtor_n but_o to_o make_v they_o heir_n of_o his_o own_o estate_n the_o same_o precious_a blood_n that_o blot_v out_o our_o sin_n write_v we_o down_o heir_n of_o glory_n and_o coheir_n with_o jesus_n christ_n himself_o o_o infinite_a and_o unspeakable_a mercy_n of_o god_n thus_o rich_o and_o bountiful_a to_o give_v as_o well_o as_o free_o to_o forgive_v that_o he_o shall_v thus_o instate_v we_o at_o present_a in_o his_o love_n and_o favour_n and_o hereafter_o instate_v we_o in_o his_o glory_n this_o be_v not_o the_o
