christian_n that_o if_o god_n as_o he_o do_v inspire_v we_o to_o do_v all_o our_o good_a work_n then_o must_v needs_o those_o work_n be_v meritorious_a because_o god_n inspire_v they_o to_o be_v do_v and_o have_v promise_v to_o reward_v the_o do_v of_o they_o according_a to_o that_o of_o saint_n john_n be_v thou_o faithful_a unto_o death_n and_o i_o will_v give_v thou_o a_o crown_n of_o life_n and_o obedience_n in_o all_o place_n where_o her_o doctrine_n have_v be_v spread_v which_o if_o it_o be_v grant_v or_o can_v be_v prove_v that_o god_n holy_a spirit_n be_v at_o all_o time_n with_o his_o church_n to_o direct_v she_o in_o her_o doctrine_n i_o hope_v none_o will_v deny_v but_o that_o than_o she_o be_v infallible_a and_o so_o can_v possible_o be_v capable_a of_o error_n and_o that_o it_o be_v so_o shall_v be_v make_v manifest_o to_o appear_v if_o you_o will_v believe_v christ_n himself_o who_o can_v deceive_v we_o where_o in_o saint_n john_n gospel_n tell_v his_o 27_o 45._o after_o his_o resurrection_n it_o be_v say_v he_o expound_v to_o they_o all_o the_o scripture_n and_o when_o they_o be_v altogether_o he_o appear_v to_o they_o and_o open_v their_o understanding_n that_o they_o may_v know_v the_o scripture_n from_o whence_o we_o may_v just_o gather_v that_o if_o his_o disciple_n and_o apostle_n which_o be_v so_o conversant_a with_o christ_n in_o his_o life-time_n be_v so_o ignorant_a of_o scripture_n as_o not_o to_o know_v the_o meaning_n of_o the_o prophet_n which_o foretell_v his_o resurrection_n the_o three_o day_n and_o other_o mystery_n church_n by_o the_o instinct_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n who_o as_o i_o say_v be_v always_o with_o she_o to_o direct_v she_o in_o all_o her_o proposal_n to_o we_o concern_v our_o salvation_n and_o as_o we_o may_v reasonable_o think_v that_o as_o god_n have_v commit_v to_o her_o charge_n the_o dispensation_n of_o the_o holy_a sacrament_n to_o we_o and_o other_o high_a quality_n so_o he_o have_v invest_v she_o with_o power_n to_o ordain_v constitute_v and_o decree_n any_o thing_n that_o may_v be_v to_o the_o good_a and_o benefit_n of_o the_o same_o church_n which_o decree_n and_o constitution_n we_o be_v bind_v to_o observe_v and_o without_o any_o difficulty_n in_o conscience_n may_v so_o long_o as_o it_o be_v not_o against_o god_n word_n but_o rather_o agreeable_a to_o the_o same_o among_o which_o thing_n that_o be_v thus_o constitute_v by_o the_o church_n this_o of_o the_o latin_a service_n be_v one_o which_o i_o shall_v prove_v to_o be_v somewhat_o agreeable_a to_o scripture_n and_o altogether_o to_o reason_n and_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o church_n of_o god_n in_o all_o age_n first_o we_o will_v observe_v something_o pertinent_a to_o this_o in_o saint_n luke_n gospel_n wheere_v he_o declare_v 10._o luke_n 1._o v._o 10._o that_o when_o zacharias_n the_o priest_n be_v offer_v and_o pray_v to_o god_n in_o the_o temple_n for_o himself_o and_o all_o the_o people_n that_o the_o whole_a multitude_n of_o the_o people_n be_v pray_v without_o at_o the_o time_n of_o his_o offering_n incense_n by_o which_o it_o appear_v that_o they_o know_v not_o what_o he_o say_v nor_o understand_v any_o thing_n of_o it_o which_o be_v now_o the_o main_a objection_n against_o we_o in_o this_o point_n by_o our_o adversary_n but_o to_o satisfy_v these_o people_n we_o be_v honour_n and_o glory_n of_o god_n as_o be_v every_o day_n offer_v up_o to_o he_o by_o the_o priest_n and_o not_o for_o the_o edification_n of_o the_o people_n so_o much_o by_o understand_v it_o as_o by_o the_o benefit_n they_o receive_v and_o partake_v of_o be_v present_a at_o it_o for_o when_o the_o priest_n say_v the_o service_n of_o the_o church_n he_o offer_v it_o to_o god_n for_o himself_o thanksgiving_n the_o priest_n speak_v to_o god_n and_o not_o to_o the_o people_n for_o example_n when_o any_o man_n lie_v sick_a or_o in_o distress_n at_o home_n he_o send_v to_o the_o church_n to_o be_v pray_v for_o by_o the_o minister_n and_o congregation_n now_o shall_v we_o think_v because_o he_o hear_v nor_o understand_v not_o those_o which_o pray_v for_o he_o that_o he_o have_v no_o benefit_n by_o their_o prayer_n this_o be_v absurd_a to_o think_v for_o than_o we_o shall_v be_v never_o the_o better_a for_o our_o saviour_n intercession_n to_o his_o heavenly_a father_n for_o we_o
